DotheStu---Yeah, I heard about a Green Day concert that one of the Bone staff people was referring to--nothing to do with Joe w/Chickenfoot at the Fillmore. That was just a message one guy was trying to pass to the Noon DJ.

I got my pair of tickets to the ROAD TEST show at the Fillmore San Fran! I gotta go early to the Will Call window to pick them up.....Looks like me Steve and me will be hanging out in SF for the day!

Tracie--Are you gonna be there?

Last week I was in West London attending a conference.

While I was in the airport, returning home, I heard several people behind me beginning to clap and cheer.

I immediately turned around and witnessed one of the greatest acts of patriotism I have ever seen.

Moving through the terminal was a group of soldiers in their uniforms, as they began heading to their gate everyone (well almost everyone) was abruptly to their feet with their hands waving and cheering.

When I saw the soldiers, probably 30-40 of them, being applauded and cheered for, it hit me. I'm not alone. I'm not the only red blooded Briton who still loves this country and supports our troops and their families. Of course I immediately stopped and began clapping for these young unsung heroes who are putting their lives on the line everyday for us so we can go to school, work, and enjoy our home without fear or reprisal.

Just when I thought I could not be more proud of my country or of our service men and women a young girl, not more than 6 or 7 years old, ran up to one of the male soldiers.

He knelt down and said 'hi,' the little girl then asked him if he would give something to her daddy for her.

The young soldier didn't look any older than maybe 22 himself, said he would try and what did she want to give to her daddy.

Suddenly the little girl grabbed the neck of this soldier, gave him the biggest hug she could muster and then kissed him on the cheek.

The mother of the little girl, who said her daughters name was Courtney, told the young soldier that her husband was a Corporal and had been in Afghanistan for 5 months now.

As the mum was explaining how much her daughter, Courtney, missed her father, the young soldier began to tear up.

When this temporarily single mum was done explaining her situation, all of the soldiers huddled together for a brief second.

Then one of the other servicemen pulled out a military looking walkie-talkie.

They started playing with the device and talking back and forth on it.

After about 10-15 seconds of this, the young soldier walked back over to Courtney, bent down and said this to her, 'I spoke to your daddy and he told me to give this to you.'

He then hugged this little girl that he had just met and gave her a Kiss on the cheek.

He finished by saying 'Your daddy told me to tell you that he loves you more than anything and he is coming home very soon.'

The mum at this point was crying almost uncontrollably and as the young soldier stood to his feet he saluted Courtney and her mum.

I was standing no more than 6 feet away as this entire event unfolded.

As the soldiers began to leave, heading towards their gate, people resumed their applause.

As I stood there applauding and looked around, there were very few dry eyes, including my own.

That young soldier in one last act of moment turned around and blew a kiss to Courtney with a tear rolling down his cheek.

We need to remember everyday all of our soldiers and their families and thank God for them and their sacrifices.

At the end of the day, it's good to be an Englishman.

RED FRIDAYS

Very soon, you will see a great many people wearing Red every Friday.

The reason?

Englishmen and women who support our troops used to be called the 'silent majority'.

We are no longer silent, and are voicing our love for Country and home in record breaking numbers

Anibur--You cheered me up. I've been feeling so down today and so despondent that I didn't go to work even though I don't get paid when I don't show up.

Webmaster Jon--Thanks for thinking of all of us and I'm thankful for Joe joining Chickenfoot with Sammy, Mikey and Chad. What a talented bunch of geniuses all whose first love is music and their fans!! ;-)

Satriella--I'm thinking about you and your loss. Why anyone would leave you is extremely puzzling/confusing. I want you to know that you are loved and needed right here with your friends!

Guitarvibes--It was great hearing your question about pedals given to Joe on 107.7 The Bone. His answer was very modest due to the reasons he stated and he understands guitar players wanting to know what's next. Thanks also for the Frank Zappa interviews in 1993. He is who he was right to the end of his life and his music lives on through his sons and daughter and those who do his covers. A very modest human being! I hope your health improves. You are the brother of sisters and brothers all over this earth! And a special uncle to a little girl over there! Being an uncle or aunt is a special part of life.

I really wish this question would get answered...

JON or JOE

I joined the CF fan club to get presale access to a show with GENERAL ADMISSION that doesn't allow early fan club entry. WTF?? I got my tickets before most peeps, but if I don't stand outside the venue at noon for a 9 pm show, I could wind up in the back of the house. Maybe the tour will be at a different venue and the "dealio" will be more organized in the fall, but as for now, I'm feeling kinda bitter - and I'm not the only one.

The shirt should be cool though...

chelle, the fan club would be cooler if I'd gotten to choose a shirt size...but in the beginning of the fan club sign-up, there was a screw up and those of us that joined right away didn't get the option to choose a size. So we get an automatic "small". I tried to think, 'oh well, at least I get other perks as a "premium" member'.......but a size small automatically? Small don't cut it!!

That should fit my left arm =|

I also paid way more for my presale tickets than I should have, and apparently bought a SECOND fan club membership (again with NO option to choose a shirt size I might add!!!!) because there was zero explanation of what the ticket packages were all about even as you purchased them.....and mine is a GA show too with no early access....I'da had to pay waaaaaay over $200 per ticket for early access into the venue. So yeah....I'm there with ya. And like you said, I know of others.

Don't get me wrong....I'm very happy to be able to attend my show, wouldn't wanna miss it for the world cuz I lubs Joe with all me hearts......but yeah....this wadn't right at all. Fanfire, Live Nation....dunno who made the mess, but if past experience is any indication, Fanfire won't care one bit about this and I'll never hear back from them...per usual.

Sigh...............all we want is to know what's going on before we gotta take action, so we make the right decisions!!

Anybody wanna buy my second fanclub membership? It comes with a marvelous free size small t-shirt =|

Well, we are getting tickets before they're sold out, and we are getting a Chickenhead t-shirt (I had a size option, but T didn't), so it's not all bad. 10% off online merch is neither here nor there, but that's cool too. I just wish we knew what codes like "CF Bundle" meant before we had to click the deal for our tickets. If it wouldn't have been for T buying her tix first and going through the ordeal, I might have clicked the same thing! Austin is an Einstein bastid, and even HE didn't know which option to choose!! lol! That speaks volumes.

Anyways, we're very grateful for getting to see a show, and in no way are we taking all this for granted that we have the chance while others don't. We understand how fortunate we are, we just wish the process would have been better.

Hopefully all this info will help the next peeps that buy tickets to pick the right ones. lol!

LOVE YA JOE! Yeah Jon, love you too.
