campbell:-Way back in 1978 I was a couple of months short of my 15th birthday and my Dad decided to take me and some of my friends to Circular Quay in Sydney. As we got off the train we could hear loud music and unbeknown to me,there was a free concert being put on by one of the local radio stations on the steps of the Sydney Opera House, so that's the direction we headed. There must've been around 80,000 people there but we managed to find our way to almost the front right of the stage.First up was a local guy you may or may not know of by the name of Jon English.Did good job of warming the crowd up.Then came a group who were a one hit wonder here in Oz, named Wahkoo.(they had a hit with a song titled "Fabulous Dancer").I remember them being quite good live, but haven't heard anything of them since. Then came the BIGGEST surprise yet(and still one of the greatest memories of my life) THIN LIZZY!!!! They were my favourite band at that time(and still hold very high ranking for me) and to make it even better GARRY MOORE was their new guitarist. Man,they rocked like only a good rockin' thing can.And DAMN,they were LOUD! They actually had the Sydney Harbour Bridge shaking, which was reported in the media.People from several miles away said they could hear it quite clearly too. Garry played like a demon and I have the DVD of the original video footage to prove all of it.
So, am I jealous of you going to see Garry Moore?.....
NAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Gary Moore screams!!!
In an interview I heard with Slash on Rock 103 (Memphis) a few years back, Slash made reference to doing the Gibson concert bash with Gary Moore on the bill and his comment was that Gary would have more Marshalls there that anyone else and it would be difficult to stand up to him. I don't really know if his comment was a positive or a negative.
Slansh- Put your stuff out there and someone is bound to pick up on it. I guess T2J attracts a great # of musicians primarily as Joe fans as well as guitar fans in general. There is just a lot of good talent represented here.
Chickenfoot ticket holders- Enjoy!!!!
GuitarVibes- I agree with you on the XXX Large. Folks this guy is huge. I saw his My Space page and remember thinking I had maybe saw him on ESPN ( Worlds Strongest Man Competition.)
He dwarfs Joe in the pictures.
It's back to work for me. Have a great weekend all!!

Hey Joe,
Any chance of remastering and re-releasing the Live In San Francisco DVD in HD? I don't even know if that's possible if it wasn't shot in HD. Usully movies are at least shot in widescreen and then reduced in format. It's a great DVD but the picture is fuzzy when played on the newer DVD players and TV's that can show it in 720 or 1080. I'd love to watch it in one of the newer formats. Thanks.

Woah... how many pages?
fatape - I don't suppose there's any footage of you being australian jigsaw masacre at that BC Rich is there!? lol. Or maybe a before and after photo?
jdublu - you're right in there was only a couple shipped here. But it affects all of them apparently and shouldn't really happen on any line, let alone the LTD's. You'd think they'd take more care. If I was spending upwards of £3k on an axe it would have to be perfect
Ozzy Fudd - nice RG. Have you customised the 100 at all? Maybe a 1000 neck and the upgraded pickups?
Burly - F1 racing this weekend yes, and Moto GP when you posted that I think. More rain forecast so could be entertaining
Cube - lmao, you posted some Southpark. I nearly posted "no kitty" the other day. Couldn't find cartmans probe in relation to the other posts.
Oh no.... Pip abuse ....
JS1200JS1000 - wow, that's a sweet little collection. Get Joe to finish the back (seeing as no-one ever finished the back of any of them).... that'll be truely unique. Should only take 5 minutes given his ability to just spill out doodles effortlessly
Igneous - noooooooooooooo... you posted a pic of the bike I shoulda bought but didn't, and now can't get. It's so pretty (for a bike). Darn it...
Do The Stu - I updated my CF profile. Got the same error message (that I guess everyone is getting) so just logged out, and when logged back in everything had changed as expected. Maybe have another crack at it. Thanks for the detail on the bone interview. Will you be catching any of the Long Beach race this weekend?
Michelle - how's your arse now? Buns of steel don't ship UPS! Classic Van Halen song (Black & Blue), and the album... thanks for the reminder
Cheese - oh, fanfire messing up again. Maybe it's time Joe's team moved away from fanfire? Ah, the Britains Got Talent phenomenen. I understand Ashton Kutcher saw that and posted it on Twitter, then Demi responded as well... anyway, the first vid of it had 12 mill hits after about 4 days, and I think there's about 25mill hits all told. A surprising voice... cool
Satriella - I didn't think it had gone that far (break up)?
Have a good weekend all

I just got my Roxy tickets...woohoo! The face value was $51.50, which was awesome... ;-) The total for two was $126.25.
roo - Thanks for those links...I should've expected you'd have that information. I was curious to see whether the original tracklist was chosen with vinyl in mind (looking how it breaks down, I'd say yes), or if maybe the tracks were rearranged to fit better (like the Smashing Pumpkins did with Mellon Collie And The Infinite Sadness on vinyl).
mikesb - Oh, you were one of the contest winners? I didn't catch your name when I skimmed the list the other day...congrats! :-)
Headless - Live In San Francisco was shot full frame, non-HD (obviously...that technology wasn't there yet)...I think what we have on DVD is the highest quality possible.
I don't want to see this rereleased on another format (and I was even at the show); I'd rather the money be spent on a new DVD somewhere else...
Pip Satriani - I think the Chickenfoot profile problems worked themselves out once I upgraded my membership...thanks for the info, though.
It's funny to see you mention the Long Beach Grand Prix...I was just going to ask if you had heard of it (part of me thought "US auto racing" might be an oxymoron to F1 fans...haha).
I live just a few blocks north of the road course, so it'll be a LOUD weekend. I've never paid for a ticket, but a few years ago I walked down to the middle of everything and kind of soaked up the atmosphere...it was fun. And the office I used to work in is on the street that makes up the north end of the course, so we could see part of the race out the windows.
Having a job at the local newspaper means I'm sick of the Grand Prix before it even starts (and there are only so many racing-related puns we can use for headlines...ugh!), so I usually don't want to do too much with it when it's here. But I'm glad it's a city event.
I used to be more into racing when I was younger, and Long Beach was always one of my favorite courses. So it's neat to live here now.
lizardtoad - Chickenfoot should be back in the US in the fall, but they'll likely be playing larger (non-GA) venues...
Listening to: Explosions In The Sky - The Earth Is Not A Cold Dead Place (current song: Six Days At The Bottom Of The Ocean)
This is one of my all-time favorite albums...everyone needs to go buy it.
...Austin...

Hey Everyone!
Hope everyone is doing well. I have to make this short because I am on the go as usual. I got off work a few hours ago, but I have to go back later tonight (double-duty). I saw the dates for Chickenfoot and unfortunately, I am not able to go because of work and my running. Speaking of running, I have one coming up tomorrow (a 7.5 mile run). Wish me luck everybody. When am I ever going to get a break from everything? Hopefully soon.
To all the T2Jers and Chickenfooties/Chickenheads:
What's up everyone. Here are some races I have coming up.
Shoe-Sucker (7.5 Mile) (4/18)
Mastodon Stomp (5K) (4/25)
One America 500 Festival Mini Marathon (5/2)
Warbird Brewing Company 10K (5/16)
T.R.R.C. 12K (5/23)
I might be doing one on 5/9.
Well, gotta run. Chat with you all soon again. I'll let you know how this Saturday's run went down. See ya!

SCUBADAZ- I get to as many gigs as i can, as well as Gary moore i've got ac/dc, Thunder, even Elton John coming up, and theres Motorhead, Deep Purple and Status Quo towards the end of the year. Michelle and Tracie--I guess Joe wants us to hang out and get to know each other at these "Road Test" shows. It's an opportunity to check out the scene at these smaller venues. If I get to meet a few T2J people it will be worth the $62 per ticket that I paid, fees included. T--Sorry to hear about the T-shirt mess. Webmaster Jon will help ya get things sorted out. As he said he didn't anticipate the confusion.
Al--You are so cheeky!! Give us aunts some respect!

Pip - I've only replaced the toggle switch. The frets were pretty worn out when I got the 100, It was to be re-fretted but opted to have them re-shaped instead. Every thing else is as I got it. As soon as I can con fatape out of his Fred..... Oh! Steve Vai signed it, but it's warn off. He signed the body, right where my arm sits. Doh!!!
