hey satch,
My girlfriend did a report on you due to my suggestion and she came across information that you are in a charity group that gives out instruments to students. I know I am not in a younger grade (college) but, would I be able to get one? Right now I have a guitar that my mother and father got me. I don’t really even know what it is though, it has a fender neck but I know it’s not a fender because the body of it does not match. The bridge is a Floyd Rose which I would normally be happy with but whoever had this before I got it didn’t take care of it. The bridge is all bent crazy-like and the “saddles” (I think that’s what they are called) stripped out and I can’t afford to fix them even. So right now it has some messed up ghetto-rigged stuff holding the strings in. I play as seriously as I can, I can’t afford lessons(Oh and the only reason I can afford college is the government is covering it.). I am attempting to learn some of the more complex aspects of guitar like the theory behind composition. I have been a fan of yours since I heard surfing with the alien like two years ago, thanks to a tech guy at my high school. He definitely turned me on to more renowned guitarists. I could go on for a while but I think that this should do, thank you for your valued time and my e-mail is matthewlee_art@yahoo.com.

Joe - Awesome...I'm glad to hear that you enjoyed the Jeff Beck gig.
I posted about this earlier, but I saw Jeff Beck in LA on Tuesday...special guests included Rod Stewart (!!!) and Joss Stone. It was my first time seeing Jeff, and it definitely won't be my last.

well, I gotta admit that for the first year since I joined I thought wolfie was a Satch crew member in disguise... but his consistency threw me off, even though when the CP lawsuit was filed he joined the talk in a rather congruent manner... hmmm.... Interesting...
axeshredderjc, JOE has said before that he starts every year off by inviting Jeff Beck to join G3 and he politely declines every single time...

Joe - thanks for all the posts! Are you feeling alright LOL? No idea how you have any spare time to do anything else at the minute. Looking forward to CF in June. Need that CD in my ears. Rock on!
Cheese - LOL, no worries, just a good excuse for a mickey take. Oh, that's cool. Wait till he gets all the gear and then plays it at you through his mega system. Who's more excited about CF - Chris or you?
Pendulumswing - hi. Don't be shy, just wade on in
Dream3/Skippy - I should have a phone on me. I'll prob try and twitter some stuff. But if you want a lot of the gig live via phone send me over a sim with some credit and then you can leave the line open
Scuba - dude, too much info (joke). Sounds awful. Good friend of the family did something similar building helicopters but was stuck. He didn't want to wait for emergency services, so he just asked his colleagues to chop a couple fingers off, and then they went to hospital. Good news on the job
Jaime32 - I'm sure if you got hold of a copy of the album SWTA one of us here could get it to Joe for a signature and message? Couldn't we peeps? Sorry for your loss
Skippy - now don't be modest. I know you're a money bags really LOL! I get your point about the CD's, but equally I think most of the time you're getting the original content/disc. I put War up, and I'm planning on something a little different. I also recorded Overdriver just having learnt it but it was during the middle just a groove out session and unfortunately has me bopping around... so doubt that'll go up. Mental note made ref Ten Words. See what I can do. He he he, check me box... ok!
Michelle - definitely, Joe is the best. The end : )
Fatape - interesting theory. Are we saying Joe is Schizophrenic?
Laters all
sorry about everything in bold there peeps... now fixed

I didn´t have clases, because of the influensa thing, it´s a kind of virus that feels and looks like a flu, but that can kill you. Anybody who is in Mexico City should take strict care.

It’s wonderful to see that much blue these days. I hope you didn’t miss the opportunity to tempt Jeff for the next G3 line up.
I’m looking forward to the CF gig in Madrid. Hope we can meet there.

JSPhil: That sounds good to me...I thought about that last year whilst watching the tour. There was a guy who followed the tour all the way last year for charity, must have been a wee bit hard as fudge (was going to say **** then) Trouble is, I reckon loads of other people will have had that idea as well :)
Isn't it a bit weird hearing Joe talk about Jeff Beck the way we talk about him?! Great to see he's still being influenced and inspired though...
guitartreckie: hey it's learning curve in this place....we all went through it at one point :)

Joe......Great to hear from you....Jeff Beck is right up there at the top of my list of greatest guitarists for sure......Page and Clapton are right up there with him.....yet, that genius and tenacity shine right through in Beck, that rare sparkle and ability to show how far he can go with his guitar.....tough call to say who is at the top.......Joe, you are the one most qualified to say so.....a great genius guitarist makes the greatest of fans! Another paragraph in a chapter of teaching!
I am looking at ticket stubs from 17 Sept. 1995. My Steve and I saw Jeff Beck when he toured with Santana at the Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View---one of the best SF Bay peninsula venues. I remember how awesome that show was.........I couldn't take my eyes off of his guitar and hands.....instrumentals rule as far as I'm concerned.........no disrespect to all the vocalists out there.......I just love the beautiful sounds of guitars, amps and pedals! Carlos Santana invited Jeff to come out on stage to play a song or two with him, but true to form, Beck turned him down. I think he did it out of respect to Carlos because their styles are different and maybe he just didn't think it was appropriate at that time. Just guessing.
Guitarvibes---Hi, dutch brother. I feel like you are nudging me in an important direction.......Telling me to wake up and get out of dullard land! I wish it was that easy......sigh!
