Well I'm sure with the proper gear and practice it wouldn't quite be that bad....:)

Milli, I think you are not familiar with the way guitar players use the term... When you refer to a guitar player as a wanker, you are talking about him being a show off and a poser. It usually refers to people who play very fast yet their stuff lacks musicality. It's musical masturbation...

Now I told scuba I was a wanker because the first time I got a guitar with a whammy bar I abused it until I broke a string! What a tool! Well, I was 17... So, we were talking about breaking guitar strings and I was implying "only wankers break strings"... See what I mean?

Geez I get a bit sick of homework sometimes (well most of the time to be honest...) I mean when am I going to use Biology? I want to be a doctor, but Biology?! That's the famous British sarcasm there....:-/

Just a pity it was the BBC's comentary and not Eurosport (Toby/Julian/Randy Mamola). These guys are the best, its like watchin a different race!

For those non-motogp converts out there - check it out, the bikes are faster accelerating than F1 cars, no seatbelts or a car to hide in, track dependant hit 215mph(+!) and its like this at every race weekend!

When I first started jamming with buddys on guitar in high school, I learned as rhythm guitarists moving from drums. An older guy was the lead player and lead singer. He was really good on the AC/DC early Bon Scott era stuff and we primarily stuck to that along with a few original tunes that we could just really jam to. I learned minor pentatonic from him and when he left for the military I moved up and was really making gains as a lead guitarist. I "happened" upon Dorian and MInor scale by accident. ) didn't know that was what it was called. The key was , I was jamming and experimenting. When This Guy came along it was the easy thing for me to go back to rhythm guitar. Scott was just awesome and there was no need for me to even try. Hey man we had a band and sounded good, and that is what mattered. Or I thought so anyway. I did the lazy thing and did not try to progress. The key is keep on jamming and trying new things.

What sounds good and what does not. You never know unless you venture. If you crap out, you learn very quickly not to go there again. Keep yourself in a situation where you are free to explore and never put yourself into a box. I am glad to have played with Scotty but I should have kept digging.

Link fixed :-)

I actually moved back to drums within a few months. I did have fun though. Now I am playing catch up.

The Jam Man really helps a great deal with this discipline you guys are talking about.

Joe- any chance of Sammy singing Satch songs like Big Bad Moon?or others? I see pics of him during rehearsal with guitar in hand. How much of the set if any will he be playing? And how close will the tour be coming to Northeast Arkansas?

Mondaymorning... sigh

GG2 I am not joking, at that address you want to visit 'The first church of Christ scientist'. Science and christ in one sentence: wankers and stickycunts (Boston founded and based). You know me and religion by now! The Freethinker

cosmic_ape thanx for that wankin video, really funny. And there's thousands of them on Youtube with useless riffage.

Time for breakfast,
