scubadaz - I generally don't go for Greatest Hits albums from bands I think I'll really like...I prefer to save up and eventually buy everything. In this case it means I've gone longer than I'd like without some Cult, but it'll all work out in the end. ;-)

And something I forgot to mention... I almost saw the Cult live in 2000, opening for Jimmy Page and the Black Crowes. I was really psyched and I had awesome seats (8th row center in a huge outdoor amphitheater), but the tour was cancelled. Argh...

castle49 - Yeah, I was with the Press-Telegram...although for the last year or so I've been in the Torrance Daily Breeze office, copy editing for both papers. The same company owns both of them, along with seven other papers in the LA area. Most of the rest of them are out by San Bernardino. They just moved our copy editors and designers to one of the other newsrooms, in West Covina, and everyone will be working on all nine papers. It's a big mess.

The newspaper industry (and journalism in general, really) is lousy right now. I'm not as pessimistic as the people who think newspapers will disappear, but I think it'll be a few more years before the people in charge figure out what they need to be doing.

cosmic_ape - I clicked on your link, but you can't make me hit play! John Mayer and VH's Panama? I'll pass... ;-)
Blue_Moon - I don't know much RHCP, but I'd rather Chickenfoot do a song of theirs I've never heard before. They have some good singles, but putting something like Under The Bridge in the set wouldn't be taking advantage of the band's full potential in my mind.

...Austin...

noo not under the bridge, ive every rhcp cd theres tonnes of potential material to go thru, but they will have to do one of the more popular ones unforutnatly

my fav RHCP stuff is pre BBSM... most of their new fans today wouldnt believe it was them before BSSM in 1990 unforunatly =/

Austin, that was my point!

I'd love it if Chickenfoot played something like "Give it Away" and mix it with JOE's "If'... Now, that would be some interesting sh&t for sure...

I was just listening to a mix cd of Joes songs with vocals and a lot of em would be great with Sam.

GG2- Best of luck with the doctors. [b r]

Scuba- How did the interview go?

Skippy-Recovered from the bike ride?

Chelle- Thanks for the vid link.

Austin- Hows it goin?

Satriella- The amps didn't go to eleven,..They were acting like they were on acid. I would dub a lead over the rhythm tracks and it would be like I was playing behind meter half a beat.

Ozzy- Good lookin'pedal board.

All the rest o you T2Jers have a wonderful evening, I'm beat..talk again in the mornin'..Skippy- the usual again for breakfast but add a protein shake for me.

DotheStu--I'm still groovin' on the acoustic version of Rubina's Blue Sky Happiness---indecribably beautiful! Yeah, I would be cool if Joe surprised us with the song while on tour with CF!

A different way to get the days news: salon.com AND a week's worth: PBS.org/Bill Moyers Journal

Eire is in troubles and so is the rest of the world with it---how have we gotten so far into such a sucky financial mess unless the bank execs had some greedy plot to rake in all the money at the expense of average working people who make an honest living and hope everyone else is doin' the same...just goes to show we need regulations, regulators and watchdogs to protect the interests of the average wage earner........Damn, why are we allowing greedy execs rape and ravage our investments, bank accounts.......modest earnings. What's wrong with "share the wealth?" The tightwad execs don't give a damn about the average wage earner.......the big shots don't care if we live or die........Die and they get even more material wealth to rake in!!! Shits!! And I'm facing what no human being should ever have to face with a spouse---Ffinngg...Brain Surgery!!! ;-(
