I just found out Davy Knowles is opening the Chickenfoot gigs in SF, LA, and Chicago. He just opened for Jeff Beck on his US tour, which is probably how Joe found out about him. Davy did a solo acoustic set...lots of English blues. I'm psyched to see him again...we're in for a treat!

ranjack - You should still be able to add your review...the dates are listed in reverse chronological order there, so you'll have to scroll down past the European dates to see the US dates...

It's cool to hear that you saw Eric Johnson with Satch way back when. I actually got into Satch through EJ...I was a fan of Ah Via Musicom and Venus Isle in the mid 90s, and then bought the first G3 CD.

EJ opened for Joe on the Super Colossal tour, and Steve Vai came out to jam with the two of them during the encore...so it was really cool for me personally to see a reunion of the first G3 lineup...

UematsuMaster - You're talking about the Sacramento radio station, I guess? What was Joe on there for? I guess he picked those two songs to play...?

It's cool to hear him say that about Joe Perry, who was probably my first favorite guitarist.

...Austin...

ranjack: Ah a mountain biker I see? Great sport to do...you'll find a few other cyclists here including yours truly :) I can imagine 'Devil's Slide' must be a, erm, 'fun' section of trail...
Can we hear Joe's inevitable octave pedal on Get It Up? I'm fairly sure I heard one in the start of the solo....
scuba: I had no idea Ten Words was in whatever it is, but I am hopefully going to start taking lessons soon. So I should know what you are on about in a few weeks (or longer, probably longer I'd imagine...)

Scuba- Yeah I could always play majot pent. patterens and knew where they were only because Everything I played was based on minor pent. That is the first song I had ever tried to play using maj. pent. I guess a lot of songs do that, I just never played them. I like how it blends with out the bluesy feel. The Fmaj7 and Cadd9 are a nice touch as well. Great song, I've always thought so. Now I like it even more.

Slan, I'm a mama through and through, so when the house is empty it's gonna be - wow - I don't even know. My son has one year of school left, then he's thinking about a local college so he can live at home and save money. Maybe I'll turn into one of those crazy cat ladies? lol! As for lil' Johnny, he sure is building up his immunities, isn't he. The hard way too. Poor dude. It's so hard to see yer youngin's sick. As for his meds - you have to check everything these days. They do the same thing for the elderly. Whacky doses that get them feckin hallucinating and doing ninja moves in their sleep. My mums just been through it. I say ya take that nurse out! Make sure ya tell all yer friends around about her too so they can spread the word to anyone with little ones that go to her. What a quack! She shouldn't be able to practice medicine.

Watching the El Corazon vids - funny how they have the lights BEHIND the band. That had to be a small place ffs. lol! The last place my kids plays they had the lights the same way. Blinds the hell out of the audience and ya get piss poor pictures & vid. Band sounds great though! Did I mention I dislike GA?

Whats goin' on here? A Dad is protecting his baby son and rightly so. If Joe can sue for a righteous cause so can Slans and I don't blame ya for doing so. I just hope it stays in the realm of compassion and empathy.

Austin--I'll be at the gig wearing a turquoise T with silver design on the front, ordinary blue jeans and holding a pair of cheap sunglasses. I am about average height and have tarnished blonde hair--not much gold left there, just above shoulder length. I promised Joe if he wore shades onstage I was gonna put on my sunglasses and hope everyone else does as well so he can look out at the crowd and see a bunch of faces covered with shades!! What think you. I know what Alan would say.....that luni woman again!

Michelle--So Al needs a beating?? LMAO! What a stern mum you are!!

Quote of the day from Joe (on Sammy) "... he's just all bright light"...

You can hear that and more here from approx 2hrs 17

Hmmm, Bullet Proof Monk or Eurovision. Not really a choice there.... time to surf instead : )

Igneous - nice lil vid there! SOTL isn't scary that I recall, the follow up is maybe a little sick at the end

Scuba - interesting about the lock picking!

Guitarvibes - should be a JS6, and Austins posted the link to it. JS3 is a rare graphic. Roo has one, I have one, Nigel Tufnel has one and a man named Rich has the other 80 LOL

ranjack - another thanks for that review!

Satchblues - thanks for the youtube CF links

Nite all
