Pip - so are you telling us you sleep in a Satriani TShirt as well as the crazy pants and you just got up, picked up the guitar and ripped out Satch Boogie? Lazy Sunday morning was it :0)? Was this whilst the croissants were burning?
Dumb guitar question #30: What the *** is a Bm chord? Can't find it anywhere in my books but it's on some old songs chords Mr Skippy had.

Bm is B D F#... 2nd fret barr chord on the a string think of it as a minor but you have to use ur inbdex finger to barr the second fret instead of the actual nut itself... so basiclt Aminor moved up 2 frets with a 2nd fret barr
getit? ...or jsut do an Am on the 4th fret instead technically its Bm but its the first inversion meaning the notes are in a different order... F# B and D in that case

I think so - so barre the 2nd fret, then 1st finger 2nd string in 3rd fret and then 3rd and 4th fingers on 3rd and 4th strings in the 4th fret?
That will be hard to switch in and out of , bugger.

Scoobs & Iggy :-
It is neither 'lava' or 'father'. Try 'fava' beans(especially good with some pickled nipples).Hope that clears things up,gentlemen. Now ..I'm off to the kitchen.BWAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

Re:Irish Church Abuse. At the risk of opening my own wounds, this story saddens me.My younger brother and myself suffered this abuse here in Australia, and nothing was done for us either. Fortunately we have both come to terms with what happened to us and have managed to stay sane and rational, although I did develop two addictions.PLAYING GUITAR and SATCH! LOL!!!

scubydazzler - it's Cat Stevens' "Father and Son" (nobody laugh) tab here which is G,D,C,Am7,G,Em,Am,D mostly but half way down you see a Bm7 and a Bm.
Ozzy - happy birthday to the lad
fatape - that's awful, good on you for successfully moving on I hope any Irish victims are assisted to the nth degree.

Fava beans and a nice chiante
Can't sleep, think I'll try the up for 20 min. method and try again.
I remember when I was 18. I thought I'd never get there, and then the years went slamming by. Happy b day to your son.
I was just thinking as I often do how great the late 70s/early 80s was. It'd be nice to time travel back for a couple of weeks. Anyone else wanna go back? Sometimes I wish I could have my mullet again. I think about it often when applying sunscreen to my head.
Think I'll try t' catch some more winks.
Les meilleurs voeux pour votre jeudi, et pour vous joint de vers le bas dessous,….Vendredi heureux !

SkippyG: Well, ok then :) 'Have a great day Steve, and everyone (this is the bit that had me for a while, and I am guessing slightly) and to everyone else.'? I'm guessing that last bit is a colloquiallism....Quite an accurate description as well, thanks.:)

Iggy - haha well I used the Google translator to say "have a great day to Steve and everyone else up on top" (cos I THINK he had said hi to peeps down under).
scuby - thanks for your help I can get some barre chords on the electric but not the acoustic. They really don't seem to be any more efficient for me than the open chords :0) - hope the guitar is good as gold when you get it back.
Got any more African phrases for us? I really enjoyed the ones you posted a little while ago.
