Cheese101 - thanks for the link, Brian they are REALLY good shots I love the one where Sammy looks like Krusty The Clown, and the shots of Joe are terrific.
Great to see you in the vid Austin!
Al - what CD? Are you going to share? BTW how did the date with the girly go last Sunday or so?
Scoob/Al/Pip/Iggy/Roy/Burly/Guitarvibes/fatape/Ozzy-Fudd anyone - that Bm chord isn't the right note at all, I think the songbook must be wrong any chance you could look at the chords (Father and Son) and tell me what should be where the Bm is? The Bm is way too high.
Also what strumming pattern would you play? I know it may not be the usual style of music you would play but could you pls have a look?
Thanks all - yay it's Friday, big weekend running the school disco, 500+ peeps, kids in a moshpit up the front adults playing air guitar down the back.....

4:40 A.M.(central)- Good morning all!!
Skippy- I like Cat Stevens old stuff. Very unique voice, relaxing. I guess you could say among my peers I was a closet listener. I had some aunts and my mom who introduced me to a wide variety of rock music from 66 on.( Beatles, Stones, Joplin, Hendrix even Zappa, and on the mellower side, Cat Stevens and Moody Blues. My grandfather also influenced me with Jerry Lee Lewis and Johnny Cash (My first song on guitar..Folsom Prison Blues)
The first LP I guess I got for myself was Kiss Love Gun. From there, FM radio introduced me to Van Halen in 78 and man do I have some memories of the rock music scene from there to the late 80s. Rush, Ozzy,Cheap Trick Live at Budokan (great album) Here I go climbing into the time machine.
Pip- whats the difference in Brawn and McLaren? Body Style?
NASCAR is shaping up to be a good season although being a Dale Jr. fan, I am not really happy. Coca Cola 600 Sunday and the Grand Prix of Monaco this weekend. It should be good.
Daylight breaking here within the hour, off to work. Enjoy the day/night.

For burly and scuby - linky gift from Skippy and there's somethin in there for me too :0)
P.S. burly the first LP I got (won in a competition) was Hush "C'mon We're Takin Over" (you have to be Australian) and the first band I saw was Cold Chisel at the Pier Hotel in Frankston followed by Australian Crawl, Midnight Oil, INXS, and so on I don't think I paid to see an international act until Bruce Springsteen's Born In The USA tour at the Melbourne Showgrounds.

An Alcoholic goes into a hardware store and asks for a bottle of Meths, the shopkeeper refuses saying "If i give it to you, you'll just go across the road into the park and drink it, i've seen you doing it you're an alcoholic" "Actually" the man says, i need it for my work, i've just set up my own decorating business, but its the same story everywhere i go, no-one is willing to give me a chance, i just want to try and turn my life around, but people never let me forget my past. So the shopkeeper feeling more than a little embarrassed and ashamed, hands over the bottle of meths saying "I'm really sorry to have judged you". So the man takes the bottle, looks at it then hands it back saying "You havent got a cold one have you?"

Hi Joe,
Just a little question - as an amateur guitar player, I have enjoyed tremendously Steve Vai's "Naked Tracks" CD series. I have one Satriani "Backing Track" CD which is interesting enough but not as good as the real thing + there are not enough songs :-(
Have you ever considered doing that? I know in the past you have been against doing REH-type instructional videos but if you decided to issue something similar to the Naked Tracks, you would make me (and no doubt other people) very happy!
Keep up the good work (looking forward to Chickenfoot!) & take care,
AU

So Joe is selling out and doing the big rock band thing. And with a schlub like Hagar, no doubt. Scary. And here I had been praising Joe for going his own way and not caving in to the shallow, boring, cookie-cutter format that every other rock band offers. Does this mean the solo career is finished and all we'll have of Joe is this idiotic Chickenfoot garbage? Let's hope not. You're better than that, Joe
