OMMFG peeps - WHAT A SHOW!!! That was so much effin fun! Seeing Joe SING and have so much fun was...well, so much fun!! He was on FIIIIII-YAHHHH! Nice Jeans too Joe if yer reading this. lol! Chad was totally kickin' so much ass! I think I watched him as much as I watched Joe. Feckin sticks flying everywhere. lol! He even pulled up a girl from the audience who was using her juggies as a stick holder. lmao! She got to sit next to his kit for a few tunes and be his human stick holder. She put them in her "jug holder", and he'd pull them out. He was going through a lot of sticks for some reason at that point too. lmao!!

Mega thanks to Mari who gave me not 1, but 2 sticks that she caught. I couldn't believe it. I was so happy my hands were shaking. Okay...I was so happy I gave her a kiss on the cheek! lol! She had a stick from the NY gig at home, so she gave them to me. She was in front of me, and they were flying right at her. lol!

Totally fucking awesome!

Sammy - holy shit man, what can ya say about Sammy! His energy is incredible, his pipes are unbeatable, and he still puts on a show better than a guy 30 years younger than him. Mike was just awesome. I couldn't see him because of the lights and peeps in my way when he stood on his side of the stage, but he moved around a lot, so i FINALLY got to see the one and only Michael Anthony play bass. His voice is killer, and his bass playing stellar!

The standing in line thing was such a clusterfuck. They made us wait down the block on this tiny street so we wouldn't block the businesses that were open. Some peeps were there since 12:00. We got there with maybe 15 ppl already in line. Not bad IMO. After a while it started to rain. That sucked! Mari was nice enough to go to her car which was parked nearby and grab 3 umbrellas. She gave me one, which eventually made rounds with a bunch of the peeps in line who were stuck holding their spots in the rain. It made it back to us, and I returned it to Mari before CF hit the stage. THANKS MARI! Needless to say, ppl got the shits of standing in the rain so some of us drifted off to nearby bars (dive bars) to have some drinks and food. We all jockeyed back to our spots right before it was time to get tix at the will call. We were originally told we could get tix at 4:00, then they said no, sorry - 7:00! Great.

7:00 is when the chaos started. Nobody knew where to stand. VIP's at the window, will call peeps back up the block. Then peeps were lining up at the window for will call. They thought they were first in line. lmao! Nah-uh! They made them walk down the street to us and get in the BACK of the line...and man were they pissed!

Ppl started all gathering around the front of the line like they were there all day. Security eventually got it right and listened to the peeps who were there all day verifying who else was there - and who wasn't. They finally let 8 peeps go up to the window at one time. When it was my turn, they gave me 4 tix. I got inside and I was like wtf?? I only got 2. I wonder if Stephen Gonzalez ever got into the show. I gave his tix back, and the lady at the door first tole me to just take them and go. I tole her that the guy is gonna come for his tix and they won't be there!! wtf! She finally took them from me and gave them back to the guy at the window.

The rest is Chickenfoot history!

Zf:Y have mail.On pickups for strat, i wish i had a box full of all the different kinds of pickups at my disposal t choose which tone i prefer ...its a hit or miss affair that can be incredibly frustrating & expensive!

On strat i,ve had HS3, YMJ & Texas Specials, so far the T Specials win, they bring out the tone of a strat & are pretty much noiseless due t the mid pickup being reverse wound & the guitar having an earth t the trem AND body. The HS3 & YJM are a smooth low output noiseless crystal clean stacked single coil so they act like a humbucker, no 60 cycle hum, excellent for Overdriven shredstuff, the YJM havin a lil more mid & treble but.... no strat 2 & 4 position funky blues quack tones here, bit of a 1 trick pony i,m afraid :(

I settled for Seymour Duncan Jeff Beck humbuck,s & a S Duncan quarter pound s/c set real low on the Yamey way back.I figured if y rolled the JBeck tone dice i couldnt really go wrong...it paid off

Cube:You have the JB Strat, how do the JB s/coils compare t the others?¿

mama M:Good times hon, great y met up with Mari 2!

Just wanted to say that the show at the Fillmore in NYC was AWESOME! Everyone knows Joe is an awesome player, but Chickenfoot has brought out an entirely different dimension in Joe's playing, IMO. It was quite apparent there was no holding Joe, Chad & Mike back on Thursday PM. The show totally rocked! See ya at the Beacon in August. Thanks guys!

Slansh : i will check later email. I'm onto studio & just finished to fight with recording an exhaustive rock prog composition. Still have to prepare a little thing for cube, have to go to shopping food, aspirate home.

About pickups, i need noiseless ones, because i used to play with pedal pickup booster Seymour Ducan. It gives power to the Strat, but also to all sort of suck factors. Very difficult to control with standard pickups & overdrive.

Of course, i think about the Beck experience.. i'll see later.

Cube : I prepare to you a small surprise.

Michelle--I'm glad you had fun at the PA CF show. Thanks for the review. Your energy and line ethics are encouraging--some people don't grow up learning to stand up for themselves (no, no...go ahead and let other ppls walk all over ya.....even if you feel like shit and want to die!) Story of me life until I couldn't take it anymore and learned the hard way to stand up for myself! Enough about me!! Thanks for sharing your experiences...means a hell of a lot to ppl like me.

Alan Mc--Jaysus...I can't win for losing! I get tangled up in me own limited (American?) thinking!! I guess I'm better off outa here....Except, (shite! tear runs down face) I need to give you credit for introduction to (You're) My World, a cover you did awhile back when I first got on here about 6 months ago. I heard it from you before I heard it from Joe....unique perspedtive there! That's why I said you are a cover expert of Joe's music and I think that's amazing. And I still have a lot to learn. ;-/

Kayla--Sorry...I should have stayed out of this....The English grammar, usage major in me spilled out......as Joe says.."I wish I could unscrew my head and put it on a shelf" and need to let you correct yerself at yer own speed.....with Alan's help ;-)

Skippy--I'm still learning slow. Ry has introduced me to "Smoke on the Water" (Deep Purple) and "Fire" (J. Hendrix). Just have to be consistent about practicing! Getting chords down. Having a bit of trouble with my left pinky finger--it tends to lock up....not a good sign....remember having this trouble when playing the violin as a kid.

Guitarvibes--Having trouble downloading and locating CF file you sent. I don't know what's going on.....may have to wait until Steve gets out of the hospital in a couple of weeks.

I received the following CD and DVD from Amazon: One Big Rush 2005 and G3 Live in Tokyo. I don't have The Beautiful Guitar, Additional Creations and the Legacy Edition of Surfing with the Alien.

i mostly do the covers cause no one would watch my originals otherwise! ...gota lure em in man

if u check the most hits on my videos the stupid souless completly ridiculous jump solo has lots of hits and so's vai's amazing grace... i don't do the the more popular song covers since they're done a thousand times over, the lesser known joe ones i done and which are far better have less hits too.... im sick of the same shredfest nonsence online, too souless and no balls or heart to it

but yeah everyone keeps watching and playing the same old shit over and over on youtube, i just find it sometimes annoying and very boring sometimes ...ah rant over, im going back out to enjoy the sun, wearing shorts today, im blinded by the whiteness!

Hey Joe, just a massive fan here. If you have the time, I was hoping you could think about my question here. I'm a young musician, kind of in a band, and I feel like I'm on my way to a better future in music, but I have one issue. Well, one of many. Inspiration. I'm not at all sure what inspires me to write music. I come up with cool riffs sometimes, but whenever I think about it, and try to put myself in that inspired mindset nothing seems to come out right. I was wondering how you look at writing your songs, and where exactly you get your inspiration. p.s. I'm a guitarist, I write instrumental stuff

Alan--I agree, not so well known Satch songs, Steve Vai songs, and on and on are best to keep me in the moment. Joe's music to me is like horseback riding--It keeps me in the moment and my troubles vanish.

Tomorrow--Rugby match USA vs. IRELAND! Interesting to see what happens.
