Hi Joe and everyone out in Satchland,

Joe, I wanted to update you on some of my work in music and education.

I had mentioned on this site over the years that my young students write poetry to your beautiful song Ten Words...in the past we focused on Ten Words for Peace and this year we did Ten Words for Nature....keeping our thoughts framed in ten words was a very interesting and enriching experience...of course listening to your incredible song was most inspiring...

Thank you for creating such powerful and thoughtful music.

Best, illuminata (Christine)

If you get a chance check out my new website www.kidsforcoltrane.com

SkippyGirl: " roo - it's all yours mate...." - did I miss something? Are you referring to our earlier discussion? If so, COOL and you are a legend! Otherwise I am unsure.

You lucky Americanas! The Filmore gig sounds like it was AWESOME! would love to have been there but just couldn't swing it. Hopefully very soon.

Thanks satchblues for that Filmore vid....it looks like it was filmed from behind us and a bit to the left, in fact, that's my red head bobbing at times, lol!!...I'm wondering how they got away with it since security was firm about no flash and no vids....we had a security guy right near us all night so I know I got lousy pics with no flash...but thank gawd someone got some great video!! And I'm banking on Brian's pics turning out GREAT! lol...

Mckenna, u know u wanna see them as much as the rest of us, quit yer posturing ya eegit. It's a GREAT show!!

Yep, that vid was an excellent moment, so funny...but there were so many great moments throughout the whole show. For only having performed live a handful of times together, the guys seemed relaxed and in sync with each other, like they'd been doing it forever. Well, relaxed isn't exactly a word I'd use with Sammy, LOL....or Chad.....Mikey and Joe are more calm :) But yeah...they meshed like peas and carrots, LOL!!

edit: Soap on a Rope, Filmore Vid quality isn't quite as good as the other vids, but worth watching for sure!! Lookit the crowd, lol!!

Cheese_101 and DotheStu--Just my observation.....You both have the grace and energy to be in the right place at the right time to meet with these awesome musicians. I would have loved to have met Joe, Jon Luini and Jeff Campitelli! It would have been amazing. As it was, I said hi to Mikey just as he was getting into a car after Chad.....didn't see Chad for the press of ppls. Call it luck or call it just being fortunate.......Austin and Tracie......you are the best. Would have liked to talk with you more........just felt like there was so much to take in and as much as I love to chat, something in the back of my mind says I may have yammered on too much! Friggin' depression is pushed back into the dark corners of my mind. Also I was concerned about Steve.......when I left him for a short time to buy a diet coke at KFC/Taco Bell, he had a simple partial seizure. When I returned he told me he blanked out for a couple of minutes. I gave him a hug. Fortunately, that was the only time he blanked out that night! It's tough, but it's all good in the end......LOVE!

Igneousiceman---Did I tell you I liked a vid you posted of yourself doing a solitary jam late one night? Ahhh, the human face of Iggy! Wow, sculped face, framed in dark, curly hair! Kind of a mysterious look---good mysterious! Are you same age as Alan Mc? I gets the feeling, he's the youngest among us!! It's all good!!!!

I hope the record version of "The Future's in the Past" is also in a drop Db tuning... cuz that groove just smokes! It has a "The Extremist" vibe that is just so cool...

HEY EVERYBODY,

Joe: Congrats to you and Chickenfoot at the Fillmore. Best to all of you on the road and upcoming concerts.

The Warbird 10K Run went okay for me. The weather was really cool, wet, muddy, and it rained on and off. I had a time of 40 minutes and 42 seconds, which was not one of my best times. There were 435 participants in the run and I came in 11th (I wanted to get in the top 10 badly). There was 16 in my age division and I came in 1st, so that was good. My next race is this Saturday and it is the T.R.R.C. 12K. Wish me luck on that one everyone.

Great news, our pool at the apartment complex is going to open up tomorrow. I am excited to get some swimming in, as well as some sun.

Do The Stu: Thank for the Squares music. I do want to try to get a copy of it, but I am not finding it online anywhere. Glad to hear that the concert at the Fillmore went well.

Do The Stu, Cheese101, GoldenGirl2, and to those who were at the Fillmore gig -- Glad to hear that everyone had an excellent time. Kind of funny there about that water fight between Chad & Sammy (thank you for talking about it Tracie). Any of you planning on doing it again soon? I want to go so badly, but I can't because of work and my running season, which is very important for me.

Zinc Master, Skippygirl, Igenousiceman, Elpp: I see you all with some strong athletic ability. Maybe you all could try doing the Fort-4-Fitness Run here in Fort Wayne, Indiana. They have a half-marathon and a four mile run. I'm already registered for the half-marathon. The race limit went up to around 5,000 this year. The packet pick-up is on September 25th and the race is on September 26th. Check it out online at www.fort-4-fitness.org. This goes for everyone here who are interested. If you do plan on doing it, then I can meet with you and show you around the city where I live.

Satriella, Pip Satriani, Guitarvibes (Maritime), Burly, Hybes, Ibanezplyr, Keniko, Scubadaz, Slashroom, Satchblues, Cappy Steve, Tostado, death cube k, js1200js1000, Ozzy_Fudd:

How are you all doing? Hope you are all doing well with your families, guitar playing and especially your jobs. I am thinking about getting a second job myself. I picked up a dozen applications and now I have to turn them all in soon.

SuperSwingDog: Hey there man!!! How are you and the family doing over there? I suppose the weather is getting a little warmer there now. Drinking bloody marys, huh? I am about to go for one really soon, as well as a Mojito. Some of my friends still owe me a drink for my birthday a few months ago.

Blue_Moon: What's up Al? Sorry to hear that you weren't able to go to the Fillmore. By the way, that makes the four of us. I am a fan of Enya's music along with you and GoldenGirl2 and her husband.

Guitarman77897: We haven't heard from you in a while. How's your job and guitar playing going for you?

Gotta Have Joe: CONGRATUALTIONS!!! What are your plans after high school?

Well, I better stop now and try to get some running in. I hope everyone is having a good day. I'll check back in soon with all of you to see how you are all doing. See ya everyone!

Plus, when I was in middle school and high school, I had to take keyboarding classes and I end up being one of the top two fastest typers. I can type over 100 words a minute. I guess all that typing pays off. Gotta run.

Great to see Joe talking about the whole Coldplay issues - I don't want to start a whole stream here!

But as noted - as soon as things go legal, they get protracted and can take forever to get sorted out. . .

Check out the whole interview, re chickenfoot etc - didn't know you were ex VH Joe, but sometimes you can't correct everyone!!
