/\/\/\R|<: Werd on Machine Head bro, and as I am doing the stairmaster I can take on any hill at any level when the vox come in, lol, talk about inspiration!! \m/
Randell: Thanks for the info on Steven, and please pass on the regards to him when you get the chance, thanks for the good vibes.... And btw, very cool to see your git in some lethal hands there with the Travis Larson band..congrats bro! \m/
Roy: That Jason dude has got a killer right hand, and I can see why he ruffled some feathers, lol, but he has nothing on the fluidity and soul of Vincente!! I'm on a Vincente invasion now, lol, thanks for the intro, and Guthrie.... He can do it all..he is a guitarist's nightmare and wet dream all at the same time, lol!!

Hey Joe, I am a 13 year old guitar player and have been playing for four years and i am having a lot of trouble with my amp and pedal combo. I dont know which channel to put my line 6 amp on to let the pedals really give me a good sound. I have a satchurater a Jemini, Big bad wah and ocd fulltone. I usually keep the ocd on at a low level. I just dont know which amp setting i should use, clean, twang, blues, high gain, crunch, metal, or insane? I would be really cool for some help.
Thanks again, jjguitarman

Coldplay released their new single the other day. I'm not going to give them the satisfaction of sharing their official link, but I thought it was worth noting that they're at least admitting their "inspiration" comes from elsewhere.
From the song's description on their official YouTube page:
The song contains compositional elements of "I Go To Rio" by Peter Allen (1976), written by Peter Allen and Adrienne Anderson.
And if anyone has heard it...up until the last minute or so, the drums are straight out of Crowd Chant. ;-)
As an aside, the song is COMPRESSED to no end. I miss dynamics...ugh.

How does a 13 year old have a Jemini, a satchurator, a big bad wah, AND and OCD fulltone??!!
Im 16, and i have 2 pedals which i am quite happy with. Anyway, all grumbling aside,
Slanshroom: I didn't know you were talking about Flamenco. And i wouldn't say that Simon McBride is a one trick pony. He does have very original songs. Just that Guthrie makes him look like one :p
Just roughly, what are the Bass, Middle and treble settings on Joe's amps throughout most of his albums?

And also, i am trying to get someone to make me a rorschach mask (Watchmen). How does his mask move, or is it CGI. i have seen some AMAZING recreations of it using thermochromic paint.

hi there,
this is my first post.
ive been a fan since you toured here in the UK on the flying blue dream tour 1989/1990. My best mate was a big fan so we went to the gig while being students at Leeds Polytechnic. You was doing a meet and greet at a local record store. Awesome gig.
ive been learning the guitar, charvel USA San Dimas and a Yamaha Acoustic, im wondering if you would strongly recommend the peavey JSX head and what speakers would you use? The amp is discontinued, although its still advertised on the peavey and your websites, and is being offered here in the UK at very competive prices for a USA made amp. peavey have brought out the 3120 since.
i would be using it for home use only, so it must sound fab at low volumes.
thanks
andrew
p.s. have you ever been asked to colabrate with Carlos Santana,
p.p.s here in Lincolnshire we have a tiny guitar based music venue called the 'Ropewalk - Barton upon Humber' only holds a 100 people. check it out when you are over here in the UK next.

Ibanezebra....I never said Mcbride was i merely pointed out Guth Govan wasnt. He would be my personal preference for an electric guitarist in another G3 or support and Vincente for acoustic.
It always makes me uncomfortable when asked what i think about another player, tact is not my forte, being more honest than Abe Lincoln drunk on truth serum tends to dump ya in the middle of WW3
Mikey san...meant t ask, dya know the score better in Okinawa whats happening at fukushima? the news feed here and online posts are vague to say the least.Last i heard an independent inquiry was underway and already the government have admitted radiation levels leaked into the atmosphere were double than previously thought, have t feel sorry for the Tepco managing director Akio Komori, the pressure he must be under from the government to control and keep mouth shut has to be phenomenal let alone take responsibility for this happening to his country and family...sorry t bring the tone down its just always there the last 2 month nigglin in the background yknow

Roy san: It has been a maddening few months to say the least, but the best info I can find about the fallout comes not from the Japanese news or Komori san (God bless him), but it comes from here:
Wha is really going on........ And the way I see it, it's a way for the Japanese government not to create wide spread panic, but everyday I hear how farmers etc. are affected, and how the radiation levels are hurting children if they stay outside near the 30km buffer zone. And if you watch this video, you will see how the govt. f*cks things up, and, in the end, hurts its own people by being a slow moving dinosaur.... I remember at the beginning of the tsumani aftermath that experts said there was no way of a meltdown because of the great design. Now, they realize we are only human, and it is us who must suffer the consequences. Unfortunately, we will not find out how dire the consequences are until they can safely check the plant when the levels of radiation are low....

ovation - thanx, i love kittehs >=;) not quite as great as lagomorphs but still superior to those canine things ;P
skippygirl - on the weekend i bought 2 shiraz's for $25. they are from a Pinjarra winery just south of Perth, ~1hr. i went to a festival and there were a few winemakers there O_o i always taste Shiraz, i'm a Shiraz girl >=;)
michelle - sorry for the late reply. both Loki & Ziggy are 4mths old, Loki is 1 week younger then Ziggy. you don't sleep with your kitten? after about a week they were both on my bed... problem is they are getting bigger and i'm running out of room for my legs ha ha!
i swear my Loki is a feline X-MEN... even the vet says that kittens her age don't usually act like she does ie: jumping up on the vet counter etc.
trapeze Loki May 25th < so Loki is 15wks there
Satriella you are walking down the ailse to my fav. Satch song! >=:_) congrats!
and i don't think Harold Camping got the May 21st date from Revelation. think he did some bizarre adding up after the great flood to get a date, the guy just keeps setting new dates. he's an absolute disgrace!
edit: my fellow Satchlovers, when i was up the shop today buying the essentials bread, milk, twisties, kitty litter etc. 'Always With Me Always With You' came over the radio O_o and i hate to say it but the first thought that popped in my head was 'they are playing Satch on the radio... they never do that... oh my gosh i hope he hasn't died'
i even mentioned it to the checkout girl O_o "i hope my fav. guitarist hasn't died... what's he doing on the radio?... he was alive last night"
i feel bad for thinking this :( but i couldn't help it, they never play good stuff at the shops
Austin i went to coldplay's website to listen to it... wow, it's bloody awful. some lyrics sounded like he's ripped off Bono "i'll sing a rebel song" they want to be U2 so bad it's sad... guitar, drums, the vocals.
