Dear Joe! Your Show yesterday evening in Ulm was very cool. I stood near to the member of your crew nearby the big Mixing Desk seen from your POV on the right side.
It was my very first LIVE impression with you and your supporting band.
Though, I listen to your great music since nearly 25 years, I was positively astonished, that I knew every one of your songs you played at the fantastic evening!!
My wife said after the Gig,... Well, now I know, why you play guitar this kind of, when you are playing Joe's songs in your studio...
Last week, I promised you to send you a 2nd voice composition for "Back to Shalla-Bal"...
That will I do, when I finished the recordings or if you are at home again, when you have more time to listen to it, ok?!?
Enjoy your European Tour - it was and it is really an Unstoppable Momentum!!
Best to you,
Fabian & Nicole from Southern Germany

Hello Joe:
I am Borja and when you came to Rockstar Barakaldo in Spain in 2010 I had the ticket for your show and I couldn't go because I was at hospital and I lost your concert. I know that you are on a tour in Spain and I want to know if you are coming to Bilbao or to the Basque Country. It would be a pleasure for me.
Thank you very much.

Joe, it's been several years since I stopped by... just wanna say "thanks again" for always thinking about us old rock and roll enthusiasts when you include a masterpiece like "A Door Into Summer" on your CDs. It ranks up there with "Summer Song", "Movin' On", "If I Could Fly", and "Seven Strings". Keep on keepin' on.

4 pages behind. To late in the day to catch up with everybody right now, but I did catch a few things I'll hit on more at another time -
Austin, I spent my summer solstice at a gay/transgender wedding! Since gay marriage just became legal in PA on May 20th of this year, it was a very big deal to support my friends. It was like crossing off a unicorn siting on my bucket list ffs! lol!
Mari, glad you're doing well! More later...
Joe, I f'n love you, man! :-)
Imagine sharing this stage!

Hi Joe,
Just finished reading your book; it was very entertaining. I love the new recording. I had the pleasure of seeing you in Calgary;it was unforgettable! In the future I 'd love it if you used Vinnie on drums again and I'm thinking Jeff Berlin would be amazing on bass. He has in my opinion that legato style and you've always played this way and it would be interesting to see how you two could push the relationship with bass and drums a little bit. Thanks for the music!

Michelle,.. Bravo for PA ~ .. It's called equality and everyone deserves it. State by state people reject the 19th century thinking. Hope the wedding was awesome. And the car? status? .. Mari! Would have loved to be at the Westbury show, it would have been very special. It's a place we used to see movies for a dollar, then maybe a couple dollars later in the 70's. I do remember seeing Zachariah (of course a rock-acid western) there with a few friends. Just being there and then seeing Joe rock that house would have been a top experience. We used to sit up in the balcony of course, when the air was thin and the fun was thick...Great to read some of the adventure~ Thanks. .. Events in the East now get me wishing I had more flyer_miles :-( .. And one event last week, where Matt (King) and Aylssa were married Sunday is another I missed. Congrats to them both.
Go RIde the Music ~ JR

Satch,
VIP for Melbourne! Thank you.
So far I've been to
2 G3 gigs
3 Satriani shows
My ultimate wish play list...
1. LORDS OF KARMA - My favorite track of all time.. Please play with an extended outro with LOTS of harmony
2. NOT OF THIS EARTH - A must live.. with a lot of bass!!
3. I BELIEVE - My partner's favorite track.. she's coming too
4. BANANA MANGO II - Much darker than the first
5. RUBINA - Album version please. The PH in the solo!! Have seen all live versions in youtube but you never do the PH. Also a slow tempo version would really set the mood
6. LOVE THING - I can play it too!!
7. THINKING OF YOU - I'm still trying to figure out how you play the trill bit..
8. CANT SLOW DOWN - Definitely an awesome vocal track
9. COOL 9 - 1996 G3 Version - Very bluesy and does sound very different
Hope everyone agrees..
Thank you

AND BTW..
Satch,
I can never hear the BOSS CH-1 live. Is it me or doesn't NOT OF THIS EARTH album have it in spades?
I play a 1570, Peavey and my lovely CH-1 just to get NOT OF THIS EARTH and RUBINA sounding nice. With the PH in the Solo as previously mentioned!

Hi Joe,
I have written a song which I think you will do justice to. I would like to see you put your style to it. How do I go about letting you hear it etc?
I wrote it with your style in mind
Cheers for now

For sure SKIPPYGIRL... say hi too when I see you there..
I'll be the one with his fingers crossed hoping Satch plays
LORDS OF KARMA
An avid Satch fan as yourself must agree.. I'll be sure to tell him in person anyway.
I'm still trying to figure out if I can afford the SWTA tribuite guitar so Joe can sign it... Lords is of course on that album... Might blow the budget though.

have you heard Paul Gilbert's new album yet? I've just had my first listen o_O oh my gosh! even though 8 tracks are cover songs, this album is amazing! Paul has done the unthinkable and has pushed MR. VAI into 3rd place, moving into 2nd, to become my 2nd favourite guitarist!
you know who the first is >=;)
my fellow T2Jers if you don't have the cd yet, order 'Stone Pushing Uphill Man' now!
SkippyGirl - congrats on your tickets >=:)

Fabulous no doubt SKIPPYGIRL... My Ibanez 1570 will be the one though. As Jimi said "that's alright I still have my guitar". Well I still have mine and soon with Joe's signature!
I'm 2nd row stage left. .i.e. Joe's left.

Wow...4 pages behind...that used to be about 6 hours I think...anyway, congrats to your friends.
I was on YouTube listening to this fella named Roy Marchbank (ever heard of him ;?) ) and I wandered back in here again. Those who aren't familiar with his work seriously need to check out the slanshmonster.
In other news, Cuth finally left the North American continent (only briefly) a couple of weeks ago...got to experience the Germany v. Portugal game in Berlin...very cool...I love me a good biergarten...trans-Atlantic flights behind screaming babies...not so much
Hope all is well for y'all

JR, say it isn't so! The one and only MJK now has a Mrs King!! Man how time flies! Seems like just yesterday he was 15. lol! As for the car, they took mine away on a flat bed truck on Sunday. It hurt my heart. I get attached to my cars, so it was a killer to see it go. It was a good car too man. My consolation is a sexy new Mazda3! I'm still getting used to all the bells and whistles. It's not punchy and full of piss and vinegar like my Corolla was, but I'm still babying it bc it's new. One day, after the tachometer goes over the allotted 600 miles of babying, I shall make that car my bitch. LOL!
Matt King - Congrats man! I hope you and Aylssa have an amazing life together and make beautiful, happy, healthy, music loving babies! lol! Hi 5 bruv!
Toosh, sorry to hear about Sarah!
Cuth, thanks for noticing! Hi 5! Hows things with you?
Chad Smith comes from out of nowhere & jams w/ Kenny Aronoff.
I see the possibility of speeding tickets in my future.
