The red album is VERY underrated, it's an insanely good album, the problem is that in the context of Joe's discography it sticks out as much as EOC. Most every other Joe album leans towards rock, while those 2 are way out there. Cool # 9 has certainly been played to death, but the studio version sounds very different (and cool), so I still get a kick out of hearing it. And the rest of the album is just perfect (even Killer BeBop, which I've seen some negative comments about it here, in the past).
I'll go out on a limb and say that the red album is not my favorite Satch album (SWTA is still #1 for me), but it is the best blues album I've ever heard.
EOC, well, Joe liked it, so it's cool. Nothing more to add there.

Keniko: LMAO!!
PTRocker: I was gonna respond to your comments, but it turned into a post of its own. So read my last post for how I feel about EOC and JS95.
Austin: I only eat that burger when I go to the Jack. I can see why some wouldn't like it, as not even I can tell what type of meat it has (looks like ground meat), but it's the combination of cheeses and that mistery meat that make it unique. I've yet to taste anything quite like it anywhere else, fast food or not.
Thx for the Yasi suggestions, will check it out later. How's the sunburn coming along? :)
Michelle: I have a hard time counting when I'm drinking, I can't imagine being able to keep track of what I had after the fact! But I'll be carrying around pen and paper and give it a shot jajajaja. Happy bday to your mom!

Crystal Planet is the first album I bought , and listed to all the way thru.
Honestly I can't tell you my favorite song because I love too many of them. Different songs transport my mind to different places and emotions. Crystal Planet is the one that first hooked me.
On a serious side -those who follow Joes tweets serious heartbreaking subject matter. My heart goes out to our people in the armed services and those who's loved ones are in harms way.

Mystical Robot :- Another good bit of advice, even though it sounds cliche, is to play what you feel.By that I mean let your emotions govern your notes,so if you're feeling angry, for example, "play" how your feeling. Same if you're sad, happy ,excited, blue or whatever other emotion you're experiencing.Try playing a "colour' as well. For example, how would the colour orange "sound' to you.Try play something that conjures that up for you.Pick any colour you like.Find its "sound".Same goes for the elements around you; earth, water, sunlight, fire, rain, the sound of the wind through the trees, etc. It's the perfect way to find your own voice on the guitar. Anyhow, the fridge is full of beer(Guinness for those who indulge) and the bar is stocked with several bottles of Jack Daniels.Drink up everybody.Cheers!!!!!!!!

Blue_Moon :- G,day Al. I was just listening to a mix of Eddie Money songs I put together from his discography, and I couldn't help but notice a striking resemblance between the young Eddie Money from the 70's and your good self. And seeing how he has an Irish heritage I was just wondering if there's some sort of connection?

Cappy Steve - What song from ITLIS? is the one that hooked you? I think you first came to T2J when I was away for a while, so I don't know...
That's one of my top albums.
Pip55 - I think I remember reading a news item on the site about the border troubles...I looked through the ones posted during the EOC era but didn't see anything, so I guess if it happened it wasn't related to Eric.
I do remember reading past comments from Joe saying that his touring band (at least in recent years) has always been very drug-free. I don't know if that's what you were hinting at, but with as busy as Joe seems to like his solo tours (six days on, one day off), I doubt he'd tolerate any drug use.
Anyway, this is a lot of speculation so it seems weird to talk about...
Joe, if you're reading this, have you given any thought to working with Eric Caudieux on an EOC-like project again?
Peace Lily - Good choice...CP is my No. 1 as well.
Skippygirl - Ed Roland is singing "love" in the song. The title is likely Tremble For My Beloved so it's clear that he's talking about a person and not the feeling. "Love" could be taken either way if it were in the title, but it's clear when in context of the rest of the lyrics.
Argh, I'm posting about word choice...I need to start working again.
michelle - No fair taking the easy way out...Dreaming #11 is only an EP. You'll have to pick another least favorite. ;-)
Aaand happy birthday to your mom and your cat. Was Sully actually born on the day, or is it just the day you got him? Funny coincidence...
fatape - We were discussing what SMF meant a few months ago but I don't think any of us were 100% sure. Sick Mother F'er, right?
elpp - The sunburn doesn't hurt nearly as much as it did yesterday...I'll hopefully be fine tomorrow. I did stay inside for most of today, I wonder if that had anything to do with it.
axeshredderjc - Thanks for sharing those...you have some great ones of Mikey.
I'm not sure if this link will work, but this photo (9) is my favorite...cool that you were able to get everyone in the shot.
Listening to: Dream Theater - Black Clouds & Silver Linings (current song: The Shattered Fortress)
I'm seeing DT on Saturday...I can't wait!
...Austin...

Axe - you're pics are awesome, I really like number 3.
Do The Stu - ah, thank you sensai for clarifying, I knew I could rely on you. Debate resolved in our house.
Your trip to the Grand Canyon brought back memories of my 1987 trip. Had a fab time at the Canyon, went on the helicopter flight and scored the front seat (you know in the "bubble" part of the chopper) so had uninterrupted views, very spiritual and awesome place.

Luminous Flesh Giants always reminds me of This old Classic Southern Rock Tune. I guess it's the similarities in the main riff. LFG just has that southern rock feel.
For those of you who do not know, The Rossington Collins Band was made up of some of the surviving members of the Lynyrd Skynyrd...gosh that's hard to spell...band.
I'm goin' back t' sleep.

DoTheStu :- You're spot on about SMF. I'd never heard Joe drop the F-Bomb until I asked him about that tune. But the tfifteen minutes or so that we got to spend talking with him were amazing. He just makes you feel so at ease.A genuine down to earth guy and made us feel like we had known each other for years!!! Thanks heaps Joe!
