Scubadaz: Definitely a good approach :) In my case, I think I got used to the ritual of removing all the strings, cleaning the neck and body and then starting placing the strings one by one. But yours is the approach I'd recommend for sure...

michelle: thanx for the support. unfortunately contrary to what the politicians are saying not only is the recession not easing up, its gonna get worse as all those like myself start running out of benefits. not to mention whats gonna happen when this holiday season, which so many companies rely on for sales, turns out to be a bust.
thanx for the link guitarvibes!

Cheese101: I'm left side too, row 11. How'd you sneak in front of me? Lol
I'll have a couple of things with me... In case... :)
Hate to burst your bubble, but Joe and I barely know each other. I might get lucky and catch up again, if so I'll pass on a massive hello from all the diehard fans here, specifically the southern hemisphere contingent.
Just watching "The last battle" DVD. It arrived today, it was recorded live in Germany 16th June 1994 (saarbrucken). Man you were curly Joe back then man, they opened with highway star.

Guitarvibes - thanx for the link. I love to read Joe's interviews. He is such an articulate and interesting person. Love his description of his perfect day- double espresso and time spent with his family. And it does not sound like he is going to slow down any time soon ;as a musician either. Yay!
What do you still want to accomplish as a musician?
“I would love to write that one instrumental that will mesmerise people, that grips people’s hearts. I have no idea what it is going to sound like, but the goal is a melody that is just so strong, it will cross all international and stylistic borders.
Joe- your music mesmerizes and grips the hearts of so many people in this world, but we're all looking forward to what is coming next.

I have been a long time Joe Fan and yesterday September 16, 2009 I was very upset on the news that Joe came to an out of court decision with coldplay. Sometimes money shouldn't be the answer to everything but maybe principle should be. Plagerism, mmm somthing were all taught in school not to do but now when someone famous does this it is now OK. Joe you should have let this go to court, not so on the money but on principle, a song you said that you worked so hard on now you just let someone else claim it. By saying they don't have to admit wrong doing is letting the claim this song. I have been around the music business and you will still remain in some eyes as "Joe who" and coldplay will be the band that had this great song. I am sadden by this announcement, I thought you would have fought for your rights as an artist. I hope the payday was worth it.
A sad fan,

buzzard: It is not right to judge Joe based on what little we all know. I have no doubt that what we've all heard in the media is only a fraction of the whole story. I'm sure Joe did what is best for his sanity, his family and his career. Everything I know of him tells me he is a man if integrity and honor. He may have been following advice from his lawyers. Perhaps from a legal standpoint, his case was an un-winnable one. I think all his TRUE fans are just relieved that it's over, and look forward to forgetting about it.

buzzardme, Joe is ALL about principle, respect and protecting his music. Since no details about the settlement have been released, it's kinda harsh to insinuate that Joe "sold out". We have no idea what he went through, or is currently going through, or what the terms of the settlement are. He's apparently satisfied, whatever those terms are. Joe is an extremely smart man and knows what he's doing, so we just gotta have faith in his decisions. I'm happy if he's happy.
Wow roo, I have no idea how I managed that?? But I'll look fer ya....ummm, btw, what exactly are u bringing, is either of your "couple of things" a baseball bat, and do u know any martial arts or other forms of self-defense? ;) Can an old lady and her young son take u down?
