Al - I think 22 Dec 2012 is the scheduled day for the first tax increase to cover the health care plan. Those damn Myans are smarter than we thought!!!

Two of my fav MSG tunes -
Armed and Ready which the Japanese?? have this one titled Armed Lady - lmao!!
and Into The Arena.
I used to blast MSG through my husbands (then bf) 15" Altec speakers when we lived in a thrid floor apartment. We were on the top floor. I figgered I'd play that shit so loud God could hear it :-) lol!
From what I know, he liked it too. lol!
The speakers were monsters and I'd give my left nut to have them again. lol! They looked like this but without the horns on top, and about half the baffle at the bottom. They were even blue like these. Everything was played at concert level. lol! Ohhh, good times man, good times!
Good Lawd, I can't forget this one - CRANK IT! Feckin' drums in this band are killer! MSG is the total package.

Michelle :- Before Joe came along Michael Schenker was my guitar God.Like Joe,he always had perfect melodic note selection(and still does)and both he and Joe are still the biggest influence on my own sound. The drummer on Feels Like A Good Thing is Simon Phillips, one of the greatest session drummers on the planet.
Thanks for putting those links up.They have rekindle a fresh spark in me.Cheers!

Taking a few minutes to go through T2J.
Really enjoyed Joe in S. F. a few weeks ago.
However, the reason for my post is to thank Michelle for the MSG links!! Wow, that takes me right back. I'd even postion my MSG albums towards the front of my stack for an easy find. Thanks again.
Next gig for me is Maiden in June.

Fatape - Al, gotta thank Slash for tweeting the vid he was in when he was 18. That got me started in the wayback machine remembering all the great times I had. I haven't heard Feels Like A Good Thing for years, and hearing it again damn near took me out of my mind. lmao! It's the epitome of badass music! I've played Into the Arena and Armed and Ready on youtube over the past few years, but somehow forgot about this gem. As soon as I heard the drum roll the whole drum riff came right back to me. That's the shit right there brothers! lol! I'm on a hunt for the cd now. I'm pretty sure we have the album, but I neeeed this on cd for my car. I'ma blow that shit UP! lol! I hope Best Buy has it tomorrow. Guess it would help if I'd look around and make sure we don't have the cd here somewhere. My hubs could have it downstairs in the studio. Saw some of my Joe down there the other day...filthy thief! lol!

Hello Everyone!
Results from the 20K: Time - 1 hour, 20 minutes, & 32 seconds; 2nd in the Age Division and 10th overall out of about 150-160 participants. The course was hilly and it was windy. Despite those conditions, I did get my best time (and placing). My reward was a pint glass, a loaf of Panera Bread, a whole pineapple, and chocolate milk. :)
Afterwards, it was back to work at the restaurant/hotel, which was slammin' at dinner.
Hope everyone is doing well here. I'm celebrating my run with a club & tonic . No alcoholic drinks for me due to Lent (not Catholic; just doing it in respect).
Grant

i was front row at the minneapolis experience hendrix show... somebody sitting 8 rows behind me got a complete recording that is almost worthy of an official release in and of itself (amazingly crisp and clear)... anybody interested can email me for the torrent file - i think the owner stopped sharing, but i've got it and i'll seed it for anybody and everybody. FLAC!

Thanks for the praise Skippy. Yes, the Kilt Run was fun, but running in one is another story. You probably recognize me at one of the ends (in red). Hey, since you saw me on FB, send me a request and I'll confirm you as a friend. Let me know who you are. I haven't had a chance to check the pics/vids from Sweetwater yet, and my pictures & CD will be finishing up in the next few days.
Zonin: Neat & interesting. Is it a recording?

I saw Joe at Sam Ash in NYC yesterday. It was such an amazing experience. I get there in line around 1:30 P.M. and the front window is packed with Joe's Signature guitars(or JS Series if you wanna call it), technique teaching books, musical notation books, etc. I meet these two guys who are Satch fans also and one is a professional photographer and the other is a graphic designer. And both of their names are Joe also. Ha! And as everybody is trying to fill out the raffle tickets for the prizes in about 35 degree weather, Joe sneaks right into the front door and absolutely NOBODY noticed. No one gave a shout or even said "Hey look, its Joe!". Nothing. Like a ghost right in through the front door. We were talking to each other outside for over an hour and a half and finally it was our turn to go into the building. And after that..... WOWWWWW!!!! I get inside and after spending THAT long at almost freezing temperature, the store is warm and inviting with Satch stuff everywhere. They were playing Live In Paris, giving away Chickenfoot T-Shirts if you bought the DVD or CD, and there was a little island in the middle with all of the JS guitars. And I'm getting closer to Joe in line while Time Machine is playing and the photographer Joe takes a little shout out vid for a friend of his from Joe(Satriani). Joe's Shout Out Vid I was right behind him when he recorded this everybody around us was laughing. Joe is hilarious. Then right after him he signed my Big Bad Wah and my Live In Paris DVD. Even though I was a little star struck to talk to Joe, it was still like talking to kind, average person with a good sense of humor. Joe is not like those other jerky celebrities who just don't want to be there. Joe has a good personality and is very approachable when it comes to instore appearances. I have listed both Joe's as friends on my Youtube page, you can check out their vids. I unfortunately didn't win anything though. I would have liked to win a Time Machine, but oh well.
It was still one of the greatest days of my life.
Thank You, Joe Next time I promise to buy something. :)
