Get a loaf
Long time mo see ..In case you don't know who this is? I'm that guy who used to tick peoples off several occasions due to the fact I was flame by Vai-Brother-In-Law aka AVARICE aka "clarky" or whoever it was , This is where the dramas flow against me as I flaming everybody like maire, prman, intergalactic and list goes on but most of it happened in chatroom long long time ago , But..I back off for several years, I made a come back in Talk To Joe about a year or 2 ago, I live and learn from other people mistakes including my own mistakes
The bottom line is this, What made you decide to come back and throw in your point of views base upon your intelligent, your knowledge minfd? Personally I feel it is okay to speak your mind freely with you being straight forward about Talk To Joe members on here, I'm not here to start a debate with you nor anyone on here , Just sharing you about my thoughts and feelings

Referring back to the flip flop malfunction clip - I remember going to a grad party at a house where I knew no one. My best friends bf (now her hubs) knew the guy and her and I were basically just along for the ride (and the buzz). It turned out to be a pig roast, which is one of the foulest events to attend imo. lol! I was lit up like the fourth of July, but I remember this guy trying to get up this hill to the house. He'd go two steps, and slide back 4, then try again, and slide backwards again - over and over again. We sat at the bottom of the hill and watched this dude for about 15 minutes until he finally gave up. lol! A video cam would have been great! lol!

Matt King- It must be rewarding to see your students perform. I admire people that can teach...I believe its a gift. Best of luck to your students at their recital ! ( A Train Of Angels .....is one of my all time favs)
(My thoughts on a portion of what Get A Loaf said)
This forum has expanded my musical experience's...... I used to just listen to what ever was spoon-feed me top 40 radio...not any more. I If someone here mentions an artist or band I usually go check it out .
Any way .....thank you to all the T2Jer's that love music and take the time to share........... :-)

So I was wondering if anyone could shed some light on a couple of albums that I have not heard yet.
Orianthi release a few months back
Slash's new album.
Also for all you old school rockers, Ratt just released a new album! Yikes!
You know, Joe, if you started releasing your live concerts on itunes it might make me buy an ipad! I would love to have your DVD's in digital format so that I could take them with me all the time.

Austin, that looks like a very cool box set, thx for the suggestion.
My music collection is on the small end, I have about 120 CD's and 10 DVD's. Small quantity but high quality :)
Last week I wanted to hear some Pantera in the car, and ended up with Rage Against the Machine's debut CD, has not left the car in a week, sooooo very kick ass!!

I went to a concert tonight with some friends...not my usual type of music, but I still had fun. The band was The Bronx, a hard rock / punk band from LA. They did an opening set where they played mariachi music (and they've even released an album of that), which was much cooler than it probably sounds now.
One of the opening bands that I liked was Violent Soho, from Australia. Have any of our down-under forumers heard of them?
njbeast - Awesome! Any chance you can take a picture of the booklet so we can see just who/where you are?
Keira - You're a fairly new poster here and I don't think I've given you a proper welcome, so...welcome! How'd you get into Satch's music?
hybes - Orianthi is an amazing guitarist, but her album is a pop album. It hurts me to say that, but it's true. It's very overproduced...it sounds like a guitar-heavy Avril Lavigne record.
She's very talented and I'll continue to support her, but I don't like the direction she's headed (I blame the record company). Here are two tracks:
According To You (first single...I don't really like the song, but I love the "Guitar Hero" music video concept)
Highly Strung (duet with Steve Vai)
I like Slash's new album a lot...knowing what I know of your musical tastes, I think you'll like it as well. It's a solid rock album with a lot of variety.
elpp - Pink Floyd and Pantera/RATM? That sure is a wide range...very cool!
...Austin...

Wow. I haven't logged in to this forum in probably 6-7 years, and I see the same people posting.
Yep, nothing happening on the forum of a great, but somewhat creatively extinguished guitarist. A very small incrowd remains, with sometimes an interesting link. Five guys who were here, have lots of fun, music and friendship on a secret location on Facebook. They moved on.
Goodbye and farewell.
Cappy Steve that low sec prison without tv's is in such a beautiful place (old harbour) you would stay!

M - great linky that vid cracked me up, I felt the need to reach in and hand him his thong...
Do The Stu - great Dave Matthews song thanks for that, you put me onto him and I really like him and his band. In fact, I learnt about partial chords from a Dave Matthews article in a guitar magazine. I really love his Christmas Song too.
Cappy - shame you had a crappy day, hope your weekend is better.
Guitarvibes - any hints as to the "secret location"?

Do the Stu - Thanks. I think I'll pick up the slash CD on my way home tonight.
I got a new set of earbuds in the mail, so this will give me something new to give them a test run with!

Is anybody here going to see Iron Man 2? Is anybody here Iron Man fans? I can't wait until May 7th for it. Hopefully the second one is just as good as the first one.
*Interesting Little Fact, but with no relevant meaning*
I watched Iron Man last night and realized something that most people wouldn't. When I saw the movie two years ago, I waited till the end of the credits to see the little trailer at the end and on the way down, I saw Additional Guitar by Tom Morello. It surprized that he played guitar but I didn't think that much of it. But at one scene, you see him as one of the guards!!! I took another look and said,"Is that really him?". Then I remembered that he played the guitar for the movie and then it made sense to me. I know this will appeal to any Tom Morello of RATM fans to go take a look. lol

Alan McMoon--Great time to post a little Enya back a few pages. As usual, I'm catching up and gotta go to work today.
Michelle--You have a lot of different tastes in music and an attraction to metal that puzzles me. Then again I have many puzzlement moments. Godsmack....hmmm.....ooookeeey.
I find myself caught up in THIN LIZZY, "Wild One" from the album FIGHTING 1975.........and BOSTON, "Hitch A Ride" from the album Boston 1976....Ahhh...romatic dreams, acoustic and electric guitars together. Then there's BLUE OYSTER CULT, "(Don't Fear) The Reaper" from Agents of Fortune 1976.
Ahhh....JOE, I like "Friends" and "Searching" and "House Full of Bullets" and "Professor Satchafunkilus"......so funky and I can't keep myself from dancing!

GG2, I like a lot of heavy bands - Godsmack is one. Pantera, Disturbed, Metallica (old stuff)...hmm, I can't even think because I have Cemetery Gates blasting. Gaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaates and the feckin Dimebag screaming guitar - woooo! If you saw my favs list on Grooveshark you'd really scratch yer head. Big band, Motown, rap, rock, metal, jazz, folk - everything but country & opera...and no Enya! lol! I think the only pop I have is MJ? If you ever wanna see me go apeshit, just play this. Ha! That's the shit! I just went from Pantera to Savatage to Busta Rhymes. lol!
Turn it up!!
edit: PL, that's a good one, isn't it :-)
