@axeshredder- Another one??? I don't get how they think they have the right to use the song. It makes it right if you just say you're gonna use it. ??? What kinda sense does that make? Why do artists nowadays feel the need to leech off of much better artists?
My friend told me a hilarious statement the other day that reminds me of this situation. He said "It's not considered rape if you yell 'surprise!' lol
But that's basically what these "artists"(term used loosely) are doing. They're just coming out and saying they are going to use it instead of hiding it like Coldplay. And to them, they think it's ok. And if they tell you it's a cover, that's a bunch of BS, because a cover is your own interpretation/performance of the song. They're just "singing"(term used loosely) on top of the original song.
I can't tell you how many rappers bass lines I've heard that have been stolen. A prime example is Ice Ice Baby by Vanilla Ice. It's so blatant that they stole the famous bass line from Queen and David Bowie's Under Pressure.
And the annoying part about it is..........If everybody starts doing this, Joe has every right to sue each and every one of them. But it will make him like a fool just suing everybody that pulls this crap. What a bunch of ass.

Thanx for posting Axe...heard that yesterday on another one of her vids...its disgusting what she did with that song....IMHO.
Had a thought ..I was reading a review of BBAWW and the reviewer said that Joe needed to get a songwriter to write his music.....
(which ALSO pissed me off)
but any way evidently not 'cause people are using his music all over the place these days & NOT GIVING CREDIT WHERE CREDIT IS DUE........
end of rant.............. :/

all bald people to go shiny and feel good about it. There are
40 million bald men (and counting) in the United States and
432 million in the world.

Posted on Wednesday, October 13, 2010 at 14:28:59 EST JOE SATRIANI has just released his 14th studio album, Black Swans And Wormhole Wizards, with the highest opening chart position ever for the multi Grammy-nominated guitarist. The album debuted today on the Billboard chart with Satriani’s highest spot in nearly 18 years - #45.
See the entire article Here
I also like this quote from the article: Satriani’s classic six-string sound has become a staple on the American music scene and is now matched with a tantalizingly rich texture of new material as well. All together, both album and tour, Joe Satriani’s Black Swans And Wormhole Wizards promises nothing less than a magical, musical experience that lifts the spirit and takes flight.
The article also lists the three Texas dates and venues in case anyone is interested :)
Wow, fantastic news Joe, BIG CONGRATS TO YOU!!!

PHYRHIC VICTORIA!!!!!
It's got to be one of my other favorites off this album. What a gorgeous and Powerful song!
That 'symphonic' sound he gets with his guitar at the end and the way he lets' it scream out like that. Just those few notes, simply stunning. And that groove! Adore those little 'Chirps' he get's at the beginning. And once again, that TONE. Drop dead gorgeous tones!!!
I love all of these new tracks, and LONGING is really beautiful.....Yeah, should of included this one for sure. Thanks Joe for it as a bonus track at least!
:)

Rhythmsteady- I like your ability to describe what you like about Joes's songs.....sometimes I start to write specific things and it all just turns into kinda generic terms so I erase it but you totally covered some of the things I love about that song!!!!
