You will find a song entitled Tennessee Train. A Chet Atkins meets Satriani song. A bit of a goof-off, but was fun to compose and play.

Satch, your music made me want to take up the guitar almost as soon as I heard it. I had my birthday recently and got a squier strat, and fender junior G-DEC amp. It was your music that inspired me to take up the electric guitar. I wish I could make your concert tonight at the Apollo in London, but I'm still at school, which is a huge shame. Just thought I would say thank you for your music, and best of luck with your tour.

The Haircut
One day a florist went to a barber for a haircut. After the cut, he asked about his bill, and the barber replied, 'I cannot accept money from you, I'm doing community service this week.'
The florist was pleased and left the shop. When the barber went to open his shop the next morning, there was a 'thank you' card and a dozen roses waiting for him at his door.
Later, a cop comes in for a haircut, and when he tries to pay his bill, the barber again replied, 'I cannot accept money from you , I'm doing community service this week.'
The cop was happy and left the shop. The next morning when the barber went to open up, there was a 'thank you' card and a dozen donuts waiting for him at his door.
Then a Congressman came in for a haircut, and when he went to pay his bill, the barber again replied, 'I can not accept money from you.
I'm doing community service this week.' The Congressman was very happy and left the shop. The next morning, when the barber went to open up, there were a dozen Congressmen lined up waiting for a free haircut.
And that, my friends, illustrates the fundamental difference between the citizens of our country and the politicians who run it.
BOTH POLITICIANS AND DIAPERS NEED TO BE CHANGED OFTEN AND FOR THE SAME REASON!

Thanks Zinc! Those things are GREAT! The burnt biscuits one the other day was a real nice reminder.
Something awesome happened this morning! I had my very first Joe dream! I've had a couple of Les Claypool dreams, one Buckethead and one Frank Zappa (all of which were absolutely incredible!) but this Joe dream was really special. He was hanging out here at our house, he was sitting in my computer chair looking through my music collection (physical and digital) and we were talking.
I asked him a question that I've been wanting to ask him for some time now concerning That1Guy. In the liner notes for his first album (Let's Hear That1Guy) Mike says: "The primary instruments used on this recording, were the predecessor to the magic pipe, the one string “evil” bass and a 1970’s oberheim drum machine (that at one time may, or may not have belonged to Joe Satriani)."
I forget to ask Mike every time I see him so I thought that maybe I'd just ask Joe and see if he knows what that's all about. In the dream he didn't get around to answering, he was busy checking out some music, I really wish I could recall what it was that he was listening to, all I know is that it was something unfamiliar.
I woke up quite ecstatic. I'm a lucid dreaming enthusiast (have been for almost 20 years) aka: an oneironaut, so I put a lot of stock in my dreams. When I read Joe's explanation of Dream Song I was very excited to hear it and hear more about it.
Maybe I'll get a chance to ask Joe for REAL in December in Montréal.
Any other "dreamers" up in here?
smooches,
» Phy³

A beer or 7 sounds like a great idea - but I need to get home first.
Not slipping - just kinda busy again. Plus I only get good things to pass on once in a while.
