Hey Joe, thanks for coming to Kelowna. Wow, did your music bring back memories!! I couldn't stop smiling as you played them, thought of growing up and times spent with family. Thanks for being such a great role model for me when I was in my teens ~15years ago, inspired me to follow music, learned so much through the push your music gave me.
btw, cool to read you like Sigur Ros, check out Jonsi's record (singer's solo cd).. definitely catch them live sometime.

Hello Joe I'm a guitarist who wanted to make a tribute to an orkut community called "guitars and guitarists." Not having the possibility to buy a guitar because my financial situation did not allow, I placed an order for this community, that if somebody had a guitar unused and allowing to make some small repairs that was not even miss me who appeared several doasse.Resumindo criticizing me but also several ajudando.Vai me be held a party for the delivery of the donated guitar that knows mim.Acho Lufe Lima Brazilian who plays there in the U.S., I was also helped by donating lucking nut that was missing in this guitar.I that the community as a form of tribute to all that comunidade.Agradeço in advance for your cooperation.

js1200, finally have this login working again, i have about 180 pics, , and a few vids. my head was still ringing well into friday, ended up picking up a bug from somewhere and was ill as well. Joe talked about the harmonizer he is using and said that it was an unusuall algorythym that harmonized to an eminor cord, but every note harmonized differently. he hasnt come across a simillar effect. can you pm off this board?

I suppose it could sound like whining when I posted that message about the volume being to loud at the recent concert. Someone commented that maybe I'm just too old. Well I'm currently 50, just a few years behind Joe. I suppose that's getting up there. It's been a couple decades since I've been to a concert, so I guess I kinda forgot how loud they can be.
I currently have a hearing condition called Tinnitus. For those of you who don't know what that is, I'll explain. It's a ringing or swishing sound that's constantly heard 24/7 in the ears. It has many causes such as ear infections, but can also be caused by very loud sounds.
I've had my condition for 25 years and am not exactly sure how I contracted it. But it's not a very pleasant condition to have. I'm also a musician and used to play my guitar with my amp at full volume for many years. I love loud music, but eventually it takes its toll. The night of Joes concert, I thought I'd come prepared and brought ear plugs with me just in case. I wore them most of the night but took them out periodically when I heard some songs that were my faves.
When I got home after the concert ended, the tinnitus sound in my ears seemed to be twice as loud as usual. I'm hoping it will subside to previous levels after a few more days. So I'm posting this message as a warning to those of you who play music at maximum volume...Eventually you'll pay the piper.
Here's a list I compiled of a few famous rock stars with tinnitus. The list could be much longer. I'm just posting some of the more famous ones....
Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck, Sting, Cher, Phil Collins, Bono from U2, Bob Seger, Peter Frampton, Bob Dylan, Neil Young, Pete Townshend, Eric Johnson, Ted Nugent, Ozzy Ozbourne, Mick Fleetwood and Todd Rundgren.
Here's a quote from Mick Fleetwood: I was a major glutton for volume: 'Gotta feel it, gotta hear it.' Sooner or later you're going to pay the reaper."
and another from Pete Townshend: "I have severe hearing damage. It's manifested itself as tinnitus, ringing in the ears at frequencies that I play guitar. It hurts, it's painful, and it's frustrating"
