For any fans of the piano, here is a cool mashup of Michael Jackson and Mozart by a local pianist and cellist. He just posted it to YouTube this morning. You've kind of had to have seen them live to understand their goofy personalities I guess... Anyway, thought it was kinda cool.....

Hey! Long time, no see. How is it going with everyone? :D
I wonder, should i start playing left handed guitar? I am really left handed, but was kinda forced to play right handed, because I didn't know how to change strings :P
Sincely, Mark Railton
Have a great time!

Kayla: That WAS my email for a decade or more. Now I've moved to: ibanezplayer13@hotmail.com. I'm glad you did not have any problems but watch out for that addy and don't open it. Just delete it right away. It has been hijacked from a gmail account overseas.

I see Sammy and the Wabo's are doing a show a Harvey's in Tahoe on Sept. 10th. I wonder if that means CF will do their annual Sept. 11th show this year???
I don't see why they don't go ahead and move the record release up to.... NOW because the Chili Peppers are going to release their new album in the Fall as well. Then they could play some new material at their Sept. 11th show.

The economy must be crap in the US... on ebay there was an auction for an Ibanez Steve Vai prototype guitar (a new guitar, although it looks similar to his usual), that is autographed and has been played by Vai... and the winner also gets a 1-on-1 lesson with Vai. The top bid was only $1600. It never sold; never reached the minimum bid, whatever that was.

Brian, we got our tix. Hubs was on the fence all day, but he finally caved. Seats could have been way better IF he would have got them this morning, but at least we're going. lol! His boss & his wife will be in the row in front of us. She's a huge Zappa fan from what I hear, so it should be a trip & a half watching her get her shimmy on. lol! My hubs is upset because DiMeola won't be with them, which is why he was on the fence. Should be a great gig! Did you get yer tickets?

Hey all, totally new here, and not really much of a computer guy, BUT, I just had to say to Joe and whomever reads this, thanks for the inspiration. I had a recital this past weekend and played "Always With You..." I had practiced SO much that I thought I'd burnt out, BUT instead, ended up being driven and inspired to write my own music....something I never thought I'd do....
Cheers everyone!

Have to agree with Skippygirl, we need a 'lil Joe down under, he can drag which ever selection he likes down with him, but IF you do happen to read this Joe, you should hook up with the Bluesfest organisers in Byron Bay for a slot, and let your bluesy side shine again, not only will you get to have a blast for 5 days in sunny Australia, hook up with a few other legends, and who knows where it'll lead to, jam of the century, hopefully. Ah sure there's no harm in dreamin'.

Joe, I don't know if you know one of the best spanish guitar players. He doesn't play rock, he play Flamenco. His name is Paco de Lucia. Take a look, better if the singer is Camaron del Rio. I hope you'll enjoy it.

Michelle....cool! I am glad he caved lol , he will love it and I think Jean Luc Ponty on violin and Frank Gambale on guitar will be awesome. Ponty played with F Zappa , would be cool if he joined them for a tune or two. Frank Gambale played in the Chick Corea Electric Band 80s I think , i have the CDs. I liked his sound and style.
Oh , I have tickets for the show in Seattle , could not get to a computer for the start of presale but scored good center section seats. Still waiting for the tickets to go on sale in Eugene Oregon...might go to that one by myself. It's the night B4 Seattle. I grew up with Zappa so am pumped to finally catch Dweezil's show....
