Michelle--I'm glad you had fun at the PA CF show. Thanks for the review. Your energy and line ethics are encouraging--some people don't grow up learning to stand up for themselves (no, no...go ahead and let other ppls walk all over ya.....even if you feel like shit and want to die!) Story of me life until I couldn't take it anymore and learned the hard way to stand up for myself! Enough about me!! Thanks for sharing your experiences...means a hell of a lot to ppl like me.

Alan Mc--Jaysus...I can't win for losing! I get tangled up in me own limited (American?) thinking!! I guess I'm better off outa here....Except, (shite! tear runs down face) I need to give you credit for introduction to (You're) My World, a cover you did awhile back when I first got on here about 6 months ago. I heard it from you before I heard it from Joe....unique perspedtive there! That's why I said you are a cover expert of Joe's music and I think that's amazing. And I still have a lot to learn. ;-/

Kayla--Sorry...I should have stayed out of this....The English grammar, usage major in me spilled out......as Joe says.."I wish I could unscrew my head and put it on a shelf" and need to let you correct yerself at yer own speed.....with Alan's help ;-)

Skippy--I'm still learning slow. Ry has introduced me to "Smoke on the Water" (Deep Purple) and "Fire" (J. Hendrix). Just have to be consistent about practicing! Getting chords down. Having a bit of trouble with my left pinky finger--it tends to lock up....not a good sign....remember having this trouble when playing the violin as a kid.

Guitarvibes--Having trouble downloading and locating CF file you sent. I don't know what's going on.....may have to wait until Steve gets out of the hospital in a couple of weeks.

I received the following CD and DVD from Amazon: One Big Rush 2005 and G3 Live in Tokyo. I don't have The Beautiful Guitar, Additional Creations and the Legacy Edition of Surfing with the Alien.

i mostly do the covers cause no one would watch my originals otherwise! ...gota lure em in man

if u check the most hits on my videos the stupid souless completly ridiculous jump solo has lots of hits and so's vai's amazing grace... i don't do the the more popular song covers since they're done a thousand times over, the lesser known joe ones i done and which are far better have less hits too.... im sick of the same shredfest nonsence online, too souless and no balls or heart to it

but yeah everyone keeps watching and playing the same old shit over and over on youtube, i just find it sometimes annoying and very boring sometimes ...ah rant over, im going back out to enjoy the sun, wearing shorts today, im blinded by the whiteness!

Hey Joe, just a massive fan here. If you have the time, I was hoping you could think about my question here. I'm a young musician, kind of in a band, and I feel like I'm on my way to a better future in music, but I have one issue. Well, one of many. Inspiration. I'm not at all sure what inspires me to write music. I come up with cool riffs sometimes, but whenever I think about it, and try to put myself in that inspired mindset nothing seems to come out right. I was wondering how you look at writing your songs, and where exactly you get your inspiration. p.s. I'm a guitarist, I write instrumental stuff

Alan--I agree, not so well known Satch songs, Steve Vai songs, and on and on are best to keep me in the moment. Joe's music to me is like horseback riding--It keeps me in the moment and my troubles vanish.

Tomorrow--Rugby match USA vs. IRELAND! Interesting to see what happens.

Hey All....

Recovering from 2 ChickenFoot shows back to back. I'm wicked tired (Boston lingo ;-)) Since I'll be moving there, hopefully soon. Interview June 8th!! say a prayer or send good vides.

That was one of THE BEST SHOWS OF MY LIFE...if not The best. I need to think about it more when i'm not so tired. lol

It was so incredible to share both experiences with friends, Axeshredder & Michelle as well as other folks I've met at shows just make it so much better. I saw old friends & made new friends at Philly & NY.

I'll be back tomorrow to fill yah in & check on past posts...

JOe: I just want to thank YOu, Sammy, Michael & Chad for such an incredible night of music! You just keep AMAZING me. The passion & energy that ChickenFoot has is just limitless....Is that one of the BEST SHOWS you guys EVER had?!! It's hard to put a finger on the diff btween NYC & Philly but It was so Much better! Everyone asked Y I felt it was better...Maybe 4 me cause I knew the songs a lil better? not sure...The energy was just taken to the outer limit. Hard for anyone to imagine that was not there. Loved your black jeans & the Chickenfoot T-shirt in NYC. did you make that? Silver sharpee? VERY Cool JOe.

Safe Travels for you & the guys to Europe. Can't wait to see you again! Hopefully next time my husband & I will be able to see CHICKENFOOT together , he's in Boston & I'm sill here in the Philly area. 8 months & counting....

ROCK ON! ~mari~~

Hmmm, I seem to have developed a talent for growing random large eyebrow hairs.... watch out Britains got talent!

Skippygirl - I know a guy called Joe who can play Crushing Day amazingly well.... but you have to give him a chair ;-)

Cheese - well Brian did conjur up some noice tops not so long ago he he

Burly - it's the whole car that impresses me LOL. But it's just something about that engine tone. There's some similar onboard with Senna in a McLaren. They just howled in a certain way, love it. Awesome that you do your own work, well beyond me, I just set em up and drove em.

Do The Stu - fair comment ref my email, just make sure & let me know (please). On the journalism point, you have more mail.

Sacremento airport, LOL. Hadn't thought of that interpretation of sick. Maybe its Samuel L Jackson....

fatape - he actually dropped the mofo bomb in front of everyone? Guess its not Leslie west & Sammy who corrupted him then

Igneousiceman - is that window all based around a flat course? It's a pretty fierce average speed otherwise. When I track one down and in my budget you can have a spin Mansell/Senna 91 style. Am sure Nige only stopped for a Union Jack though ha ha

Scuba - kylami hey, that's cool!! Like the name for your Jem too.

roo - well if you do find that one out, be sure and let us know pretty please

michelle - nice review etc. The vids are great. What did you use for those (the sound is so good)? Hmm, I wonder if I can get me one of them as a guitar holder..

heartshapedbox343 - why can't you see a joe show? I get the age reference but I havent noticed it being a problem at UK gigs so far. Lots of under 18's present

Yikes, it's 4.30am. No wonder Im hungry, almost time for breakfast....

Laters all, have a goo weekend

Hey all,

keep an eye on the iTunes store. I just submitted an app for iPhone (for 99c) that shows random items from my collection!

I think at 99c it is very affordable, and it simply loads a new random item in a good large view.

If you shake the iPhone, you get a new item.

If you touch the item, it flips the view to show the information about the item off the site.

Will probably take a week or more to get it through the approval queue, I'll post when it hits the app store.

Working on a few cool apps in the mean time.

Anyone need to hire an iPhone developer? :)

Also, would anyone buy a cool iPhone front end to the Satch site and the chickenfoot site? Something that makes it easy to stay in touch through T2J, chat and get news alerts?

Jon, let me know if you want to work with me on this.. I'll supply the iPhone app and we work together on just ensuring I can display and interact with the site info...

Dream Theater drummer Mike Portnoy was on Eddie Trunk's radio show last night...they talked about Chickenfoot for a bit, among other things. Eddie caught the NY gig and interviewed the band (I'm sure we'll see/hear that soon) and had some very nice things to say about them. He also played Soap On A Rope and Learning To Fall.

axeshredderjc - Hmmm...too bad Joe didn't wear that hat. He wore a similar one briefly for Friends at the start of the encore at the Fillmore the night before LISF was recorded (see here and here)...it would've been cool to see that again. ;-)
roffler - How was Unwigged and Unplugged? I saw the tour in LA last month...
michelle - Thanks for sharing your thoughts on the gig...wish I could've been there (again). And it's cool that you got to hang with marimariSRV a bit too. :-)

I saw some of your YouTube videos...was Mikey wearing an old VH OU812 shirt? It looks like he might be, but I can't see a clear enough shot... Also...did you take any still photos at the show?

Pip Satrini - More mail...from you? I just checked and I don't see anything...when did you send it?
