I just got my CF T shirt in the mail yesterday--I love it!

Soul to Strings--Are you a professional musician?

This country is mad/clueless and deserves to be invaded by Canada! Come on Canada!!!

This is for you Joe -- 4 June 2009, The Christian Science Monitor, "We need music to survive" by Karl Paulnack. Look up under csmonitor.com........The article is so right on and starts out with parents fears about what may happen if their children become professional musicians....It rings true for me when I was a kid.

Saturday is Steve Vai's birthday!!! My best wishes to you and happy celebrations, Mr. Vai!!!

My Steve is doing well and three doctors and hospital staff saved his life!!! Thank you Stanford Neurology Dept.!! Listening to Joe's You Saved My Life....many thanks, Joe.

Have any LA-area people called Best Buy to find anything out about tomorrow's signing? I've tried twice today, but the phone just keeps ringing and ringing...

mikesb - I just don't know much Steely Dan. The only two songs I can name now are Kid Charlemagne and Reelin' In The Years, and classic rock radio plays the last one so much that it makes me not want to look into the band any further. I know that's my own loss, but it's the reason why.

I did listen to the clip you posted and like Larry Carlton...what would be a good Steely Dan album to buy?

GoldenGirl2 - Is that the fanclub t-shirt you got, or did you order a regular one through the Fanfire site?

This might sound silly, but I'm so proud of Joe!

If any of you have Itunes....the chickenfoot is available for purchase right now!! It's a day early!

I am not sure if I am going to download it. I am looking at it. I am for sure going to buy the cd, so I don't know if I can justify buying both.

Joe...when are you going to release the video that you guys talked about in your 12 days of foot videos? By the way, Bitten By the Wolf is on the digital download.

Burly: To answer your poll question, I'm a metal head, but I'm a sucker for ballads. Hello by Lionel Richie, Better Be Home Soon by Crowded House, just a couple that come to mind. And stuff that I really enjoy but never hear on the radio is Andrea Bocelli and Sarah Brightman. The next time Bocelli plays anywhere near El Paso I'll be there. I've seen Sarah twice already. Simply amazing. You have not heard music until you've heard her sing La Luna live.

Came home from work to find my Chickenfoot vinyl waiting for me. A little unexpected, as Best Buy shipped it via USPS on Tuesday from Kentucky (to California). Figured I wouldn't see it until Monday or so. So at least that was one good thing that happened today. ;)

Since I don't even own a turntable, I just used the included code to download the full album, including Bitten By The Wolf. Nice to finally hear the studio version of that one. The whole thing sounds fantastic. I'd probably be enjoying it even more if I weren't still recovering from a nasty little bout of food poisoning the other day (or at least I think/hope that's all it was!).

Sides B and D on the records say "Ask Me Later" and "Definitely Maybe". Both are possible responses from the Chickenfoot Magic 8-Ball that VIP ticket holders got at the shows.

The only disappointment is that the outside cover obviously took a beating in Best Buy's warehouse. Definitely not in pristine condition. I guess I might have done better by waiting to hand-pick a copy in a store. But then again, I didn't realize Best Buy was even selling vinyl until just the other day. Oh well!

Austin - I'm going to try to make it tomorrow, but it's still a little bit contingent on my stomach not continuing to hold me hostage... ;) If you're able to save a place in line that would be awesome. I'll make sure I have your number with me.

Happy Footday, everyone! :-)

There's a section of Best Buy's website that lists playlists from all the guys in Chickenfoot. I don't think it's been posted here yet, so:

Joe
Sammy
Mike
Chad

And here's an interview with Mike from Music Radar. I don't want to talk too much about this because it's Footday and it should be a happy day, but...has Rolling Stone said anything positive at all about Chickenfoot? It seems their article (there's a link to it on the Music Radar page) is doing nothing more than giving EVH a chance to slam his former bandmates ahead of their CD release.

Anyway, to end on a positive note...the Tonight Show! Today! :-) Joe hasn't been on there since The Extremist era, right?

...Austin...
