Hi there, was wondering if you could take the time to help out.

I am designing a new website for guitar players and I want you all to have a say as to what you would like in a guitar site.

It is mostly aimed at guitar players doing thier own instrumental music and will be a place to showcase your own songs/albums etc.

It will have the standard things such as a discussion forum and reviews and intervies etc.

I would love to hear feedback as to what you would like to see in a modern guitarists website or even criticism as to why you

don't think we need a new guitar site!

One last thing, feel free to recomend a domain name, preferably one not taken.

It would also be great if you could fill your answer in the form here and

put guitar site as the title.

This way it's easier to get everyone oppinions in one place, my email box.

P.S. I am posting this message in a lot of guitar forums that I am a member of but I don't want to be seen as spam as I am trying

to design something that's good for guitar players.

Thanks

Pip- I had a great deal of respect for the driving abilities of Kyle Busch, never really cared for his attitude but the guy can drive. His attitude has not garnered him a a huge fan base despite his success. However I still had respect for his abilities.

After winning the Nationwide series race yesterday in Nashville, he was awarded the traditional Nashville trophy a one off Gibson Les Paul. Here is what he did with it. I really am always uncomfortable even when a musician smashes a guitar but this was very inappropriate.

God day Joe!

Only five days ago I recieved my brand new JS1200 Candy Apple guitar. It works perfectly well :)

Now, I am going to take a vacation in Germany this summer and I am bringing my guitar with me. And luckily it shows up Chickenfoot plays a show in Hamburg 7 July. And I ordered my tickets for the show yesterday.

I just wondered if there was any possiblility that you could sign the guitar after the show or something?

Good luck! Cant wait to see you guys playing!

Hey Joe, just another fan

Been playin guitar for almost 2 years now and it's coming along great. You might know my guitar teacher, he's met you backstage someplace and jammed with you, his name's Eric Stadler if that rings any bells, anyway I'm one of his best students and I plan to keep on improving. I aim to someday play my guitar on stage with you and practicing my guitar with passion, hoping to someday impress YOU.

I'll keep listening to ur music, as it inspires me to keep on practicing. I'll see you on stage someday man. Later... Steve

I'm catching up on a few things going back to Friday...

campbell - Your week without rain was a week with clouds and rain here in California...the sun finally did come out today, though.

satchblues - I haven't heard from you...did you end up making it out to the signing, or no?
burly - The top speed limit in California is 70, but when there isn't traffic most people seem to go 75 or 80. When I went on that road trip to Arizona and New Mexico back in March, I noticed the speed limit in most open areas was 75. That was awesome, because just about EVERYONE went 75...I rarely saw any speeders. I thought that was kind of interesting...
cosmic_ape - Mike Anthony is left-handed? Awesome...I didn't realize that.

And thanks for finding that EJ video.

Skippygirl - It was on my mind, but I didn't get to say hi for you...I barely got to say hi for me, actually. :-/ The Best Buy people were really crazy about getting everyone through the line as quickly as possible. It was kind of annoying, but I guess I see where they're coming from. Past in-stores (Guitar Center and Tower Records) had a friendlier staff, but Joe was the only person at those...

So it didn't work out, but now that means Joe has to go to Australia! He has no choice... ;-)

bluebuffalo - Thanks for your Chickenfoot review. You're right about Chad...he destroys this stuff live. My favorite is the fill in the middle of Learning to Fall. I'm sure you know the one I'm talking about...
Blue_Moon - So did you buy One Big Rush? I did a while ago...still haven't listened, though. ;-)
Listening to: Dave Matthews Band - Seven

I'm really loving this song from their new album. As the name suggests, the majority of the song is in 7, which is always fun. There's an intro in 8 and another section (the bridge I guess, although it's in the song twice) in 5.

Check it out:

Weird things going on today. I shared my thoughts and comments on the new Chickenfoot collaboration. I did this last night and was talking from the heart.

What do I find this morning Do The Stu's link to the comments by Michael Anthony. Next just surfing around Chickenfoots website and I selected the the band's Biography, and again similar comments on what my thoughts were last night.

I'm feeling a little weirded out over this. I know I didn't read their comments before I did mine. Anyway just a kooky coincidence or I was really in tune with what I was feeling from the music that I was able to pick up the band's feelings and thoughts. Oh well, can't change what I felt just need to roll with it and play it some more.

Anyone who hasn't heard the bonus track Bitten By The Wolf can hear it at the listening party. I wonder how long that will be up? I really dig that tune! I'm so glad I got that on video at the gig!

A while back somebody (maybe Burly?) asked me what my favorite part of the gig was. I gotta say, it was seeing Joe dance and sing and groove his ass off without having to hold the show up by himself. Getting to watch him interact with Sammy, Mike & Chad was fun. I literally threw my head back and laughed at one point when he was singing. It looked so strange, and I was sure his mic was off until Mikey came over and sang in it. lol! I couldn't hear Joe's vocals over Mikey & Chad, but he was singin' his heart out. lol! He also had some rockin' moves that had me raising my eyebrows and thinking some filthy dirty thoughts. lmao!!

Listening to Turnin' Left and the woweewoowoo guitar part about 3/4 of the way through. Shit man yeah!

I catch myself saying "That my Joe!" throughout the cd when I hear a mad lick come through - which is a LOT! lol! My husband used my car to pick our daughter up from work last night. I have the CF cd in the player. He came home with his face all lit up saying he had to have a copy of that cd for his car. lol!

So JOE or JON, what's the deal with the presale...and the rest of the tour dates? When will we know?

yeah already checked but u cant judge form the samples there completly different guitars/amps/mics/pre/post recordings with a tonne of different factors editing the sounds... kinda stupid really, there shud be plain dry consistant samples

and hey M I seen seaching live in London, but fell asleep for a portion of it :) ...i'll make u a samish later

actually by the sounds of it the norton sounds the most appealing to me, its a mix between the fred and tone zone, that pickup is kinda over looked a lot by the more popular ones, maybe thats worth a punt

Cube, maybe Bitten By The Wolf is written about the wolf that bit wolf2 that made him so...wolfie?

Al, how bout now?

All these CHICKENFOOT ads in today's Best Buy paper have me wondering if they'll support Joe BETTER when he comes out with his next solo cd??? We actually forgot all about the Sunday paper till Joe reminded me. I hate working weekends. Feels just like a week day.

Speaking of the Sunday paper..

My mom just called me to read me something she found in the Parade....

It was about Cat Stevens suing Coldplay over VLV, and he mentions Joe Satriani in it....that's the part that caught her eye so she had to call right away to tell me about it...she recknized Joe's name!!

I must be doing my job right if my lil 88 year old mum knows who Joe Satriani is, LOL!!! She even pronounced his name right!

hey all,

Still waitin for my CF preorder to arrive. Ain't it cool how you can 'preorder' a disc and have it arrive after the actual store release date. lol. Kinda defeats the whole damn purpose, right?!

EDIT: Tracie just beat me to this buuut: EDIT

Anyways did you guys see the snippet interview with Cat Stevens(Yusuf) on the Coldplay/Joe lawsuit??? It was funny, at the end he joked: "Franky, I think Satriani's song sounds a lot like mine(Foreigner Suite) too. Maybe I should sue him and get it all."

That Cat, what a crazy guy! lol

Do the Stu - Is the new DMB album growing on you yet?

To the guys who think Joe should have stuck with his normal music....all I have to say is that it's good to get out of the box once in a while. And if you really need some Satch on this album...click on Turning Left. There is Satch urine ALL over that tune!! If you didn't know that Joe was in Chickenfoot and you heard that song, you'd say.....When did Joe and Jeff C start singing? LOL. Joe, you slid that one in there for sure!! Nice.

I have now listened to this album 7 times through. I have to say, I am very impressed with the album overall. My one tiny knock on this album is it seems to me that Sammy might not have put enogh thought into all the songs. Some lyrics are GREAT and some are just kind of filler. But overall, this album is everything I had hoped and much more.
