I saw my dermatologist today......why do we have so many speciality doctors? He said the bump on my finger is a cyst and he stuck it with a needle in 3 places and gave me a ket.. something or other shot to bring down the swelling. He was lookin at a lesion behind my left ear and used the "blow torch" on it......liquid nitrogen to freeze the stupid thing and then he gave me a shot of that k stuff. I dunno ppls....maybe next time I'll go to my primary care doctor and have her look at my skin. It has to be less stressful and less expensive in the long run.

Skippygirl, Tracie, Michelle, Satriella, Anibur, and Kayla--Have you ever faced a truckload of judgmental bullshit from people (mainly male) who assume that your body (especially your reproductive parts) belongs to them? Arrogant bastids!!! This happened to me when I was going through puberty and when I was in my late teens and early 20s. I wanted to kill these arrogant Neanderthals! I've never felt such extreme rage expect in the bizzarre world of work.......almost sent me over the edge!

Alan McKenna--I believe in dynamics too. We can speak and sing softly, moderately or loudly as appropriate to the music...just like Joe Satriani and his like-minded musical brothers and sisters.

Good to know, man. Way to tell it like it is. ;-)

Love ya.

'Coming Up for Air' by Davy Knowles & Back Door Slam

Go HERE and check out the listening party this week only.

So happy he's coming to AC with Chickenfoot!

Milli, never had that problem. As for trains - we got tons of 'em here in PA. I used to have to climb over a train or two every morning to get to school. Never was stupid enough to climb on a moving one. Train tracks were a block and a half from my house, and a half block from my bf at the time, so any time we went to each others house we had to go over the tracks. In later years when my kids were little, my husband and I took them on the "Santa train" for a short ride with Santa. That was fun. I think that was the Strasburg Railroad. Yep, tons of trains all around these parts. RR Museum of PA

Flagg - Hi...it's cool to see you here again! Good to hear that you're enjoying Chickenfoot.

cosmic_ape - Hmmm...lettuce on a pizza seems really weird. I'm willing to try it, though.

Have you ever had Godfather's Pizza? They go all-out with some rather unconventional toppings. Their dessert pizzas are really good, too.

michelle - Your link is messed up, so none of us can hear the Davy Knowles you want us to. If only I had his CD...oh wait, I do. ;-)

As for trains, I remember going to this train museum in Essex, CT, back in the early 90s. I don't know why that sticks with me, but I rmemeber it being really cool for a little kid.

Listening to: Davy Knowles & Back Door Slam - Roll Away (current song: Outside Woman Blues)

Davy's voice here sounds like a cross between Jonny Lang and Noah Hunt (Kenny Wayne Shepherd's singer), and his guitar playing sounds like Jimi Hendrix.

Awesome.

Hi Joe, its great to have the chance to comunicate with you as you have been a big influence in my musical life. I saw your show at the N.I.A Birmingham and the performance was amazing, both sound and technique were flawless. As a working musician at the ripe old age of 50 ,I often worry about having problems with arthritis in my hands which are fine at the moment.I was wondering if you take any precautions such as vitamin supplements or diet to help ward off any such ailments that could arise from the work load you place on your joints? With great respect, Merf.

burly - buon giorno buddy.

I've been sick for 3 days so have had time to look at major scales A, C and E, minor scales and pentatonic scales. Jeez there's a lot of them.......I made copies of fretboard diagrams and I've marked out different scales on them to try to memorise some.

Austin, thanks. What do you think of Davey's cd?

Here's Davey Knowles -

Go HERE and check out the listening party this week only.

Coming Up For Air - good title. I listened to a few songs last night, and now I'm on the site again. This is my kind of opening act! My Davey Wavey's gonna dig it too! I still don't know the guys name who opened in Philly?

Ally Wally, yer a wild man. lmao! Just remember NOT to have a hangover for the Chickenfoot show - cause they're gonna put a hurtin' on ya! Get yer buzz on, then drink more AFTER the show ;-)

It's raining again. Feels like we're living in bloody England with all the rain this past month. 20some days of rain out of the past 30 or something like that. Farmers are having a tough go at it with all the rain literally drowning their crops.

Ahh well, Joe likes the rain :-)
