Zenfish:-Without EVH, no Satriani I hate to point this out to you,but if I remember correctly,Joe's biggest influence was and still is JIMI HENDRIX!!! Remember him?He was dive bombing and squealing and playing from the heart loooong before EVH was a twinkle in his fathers eye. Not that I'm taking anything away from Eddie.God knows he was the reason I got serious about playing the guitar. But so were many other guitarists before him.
Anyway,thats my penny's worth.

Roo - Beets?..on a hamburger?...He said beets. Not a big beet fan. I do not cull much but rhubarb and beets are two no no's for burly. Beets?
Brittney Spears went off the deep end and really goofed things up for herself, which does happen to some who rise to fame so quickly..That's why I am not famous :-) She was such a nice looking girl too. I wish her luck.br]

Yes. Beets absolutely. The best on a hamburger. Fresh from the tin! LOL
Very excited for this new iPhone app Im about to release in the next week. If you don't have an iPhone you won't be able to call yourself a Satch fan much longer! I recon Joe will want to use this app too!

I finally put together my pictures from the Best Buy signing.
I've also included pictures of the CD and vinyl packaging, for anyone who doesn't have it and would like to see it. And I took a picture of my fanclub shirt, too.
burly - I've been out of my gym routine for a while too, but I'm starting to get back into it. I'm going tonight...and no I'm not ashamed to say that I plan my Monday nights to get there just before the yoga class gets out at 9:30. ;-)
Tostado - I have a friend who has Wii Fit, and she's figured out how to cheat it into thinking you're doing good (by sitting in front of it and pressing down on certain parts of the pad, instead of actually exercising)...pretty funny, I thought.
Skippygirl - I first saw JBT opening for the Dave Matthews Band twice in 2004...they signed autographs at the merch booth after their set, so I got to talk to them briefly too. I think I've seen them twice since then...they are SO GOOD live. I love their drummer...and any bassist who plays stand-up is automatically cool. ;-)
Pip Satrini - By All Means Yes, Not Gonna Happen, Sure If You Want To, and OK are on my vinyl. My CD says Think Again.
The vinyl stickers on my record say Ask Me Later and Definitely Maybe.
And go ahead and spill your Chickenfoot CD secrets. There's the smile I took a picture of above...what else is there that hasn't been mentioned? Joe giving the Chickenfoot sign? His inside cover portrait looking like Anakin after Luke takes the Darth Vader mask off in ROTJ? The album was recorded at Skywalker Sound, after all.
Hmmm...maybe I'll send Joe a tweet with that last one.
And yes I got your email...I owe you a reply.
fatape - I think I'd agree with Zenfish. EVH wasn't as big of an influence on Joe as others were, but Eddie helped keep the guitar in the spotlight in the early 80s.
He said as much on a radio interview a few years back.

Austin- I'm so busted.. I thought I was the only one who strategically planned my times to visit.
Canadians - Any Triumph fans out there? Rik Emmett has an incredible stretch of the fingers. Saw them live way back in the early 80s. One of the tightest 3 piece bands of that time. Always liked Gil Moors drums as well.

Don 1963, yer welcome :) Everyone here shares tidbits from time to time, ya never know what yer gonna get, believe me, LOL!!
Cappy Steve, so u got to go away on hols didya, with wifey and wunnerful son? Sounds lovely...how is Eithne feeling these days? Rested....recuperated....feisty again? lol! Hope she's doing good. Are you gonna make a Chickenfoot show this time around?
Pip...nice advice fer our young Mckenna re: girls....mebbe it'll help, LOL....
Roo....now you've gone and done it....beets on a burger is just...soooooo wrong!!! In fact, beets are naaaaaaasty all the way around!! GAH!! And here I thought u were....kinda normal....LOL!!! Ahhh, to each his own I guess, eh?
On the other hand...burly...boobarb is GREAT, especially if it's baked in a strawberry pie :) Which is what my dad requested as his Father's Day dessert on Sundee :)
Ya know, Dream Theater are touring the US soon...but they ain't comin anywhere near me...closest is southern Cali or Las Vegas. I suuuuuuuure hope The Foot doesn't follow suit, although Vegas would be a-ok, but even closer would be loverly too, lol!

burly - Thanks for that Triumph link...I had heard of that band before, but never actually heard them until now.
The early 80s fashion is fun to look at...it reminds me of an old Aerosmith video I have, of their 1978 Texxas Jam show. Here's Walk This Way from there:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YwJPltexB2Q
It's cool to see Joe Perry use the talk box here, but the rest of the song is Aerosmith at their worst. Steven Tyler screws up the lyrics and there's a keyboard playing the part of the guitars in the verse because Joe and Brad Whitford are so out of it. I'm glad they cleaned themselves up...
bluebuffalo - Wow...I can't believe I took that picture and didn't notice the hidden triangle on the inside. I lose. The I'd Say No that you mention is printed on the regular black (heat-sensitive) triangle, right? Or is that hidden somewhere else?
axeshredderjc - Good interview with Mike. My favorite part:
Trust me when I tell you that SAMMY is taking this project very seriously, I can tell because you know how long it’s been since I’ve seen that guy put on a pair of long pants for anything.
RubyG - Joe can't discuss the upcoming pedals he's designing for Vox, but he has a whole line planned so there might be an overdrive pedal eventually.
cheese101 - I'll be at Dream Theater's show at the Greek Theatre in LA on 8/29, with my dad (his birthday!) and brother...you and Chris should come down and join us! That's my favorite outdoor venue, by far.
Listening to: Blackfield - Perfect World

Do The Stu The I'd Say No that I mentioned is printed on the regular black (heat-sensitive) triangle, the other is the hidden one.
Is there a reason for all of these hidden messages? Or r they just fun things?

Fatape : you miss the point. What you say is correct, but totally missing the current point.
Austin : thx to catch clearly the point.
Roy : we have already talked a lot face to face about ed.. & Joe, well, he gets a solid mental.
Burly : we agree.

& talkin' about Ronnie James Dio, Is there some here who remember that before have definitly taken the heavymetal road, he was in a band called ELF, that got a rock prog color?
Mike probably remember that..
Driftin'
& this famous Elf clip
Do you hear The Doors influence?
So funny to hear in that kind of stuff one of the more important heavymetal singer.

Other song Elf, where you'll find a metal singing style long time before James Hetfield..

About CF, as i've said, it's not what i'm looking for, but after have checked some songs, i noticed that it gives to Joe the opportunity to exploite his Billy Gibbons influence. That's cool.
ok, fair enough.
Good day to all.
