Alan Mc--I take you to be one of my favorite lunis forever! I want one of your amazing music CDs for me B-day in August!

And I'm so far behind on posts because of my crazy life at home.......work is going well......It's summer reading time for the kids and adults at the library.......sign-ups on now until July 18 (my 28th wedding aniversary is near!). Also July 18 is my optomist friend from grade school's B-day! July is so special....also Joe's B-day! Me late dad's (also Joseph) B-day is/was also in July....the 16th!! And so July is a very extra special month!!! Come on July!!!

Father's Day is coming up next Sunday.......I so miss my dad...he was one in a gizillion!! Time to cry on my brother-in-law's shoulder! He is a super dad. If anyone wants to lend me his shoulder here.......it would be much appreciated.

DotheStu--You are constant, you are accurate, you manage to stay on Satriani Highway at various speeds........Way to go!

How many T2Jers have felt overwhelmed here??? TRACIE....good to know I'm not alone in my overwhelmedness!

We 1950s kids grew up inventing words such as "Snush".....good one, Joe!!......as we grew up.....so cool combining two or more words to create something new and fun! Ah........creative writing, poetry........fun times!!

I can't stop thinking about Canada and the Canadians......I can't stop thinking about the crazy, funny fountain in the red light district of Amstel-dam.......Wooo hooo! OMG!

Time to get ready for work and get back to the real(?) world.

I love ya ppls! Hugs

GG2

Mike : Have mailed to the alloutguitar.com add.

I'm not at home for few days.. because lumberjacking.

& nope Mike, as already said, i don't get your musical culture.

Cube : if you means that the Beck's feeling & tone is a beck thing.. i agree.

GG2 : just a small correction. Without EVH, no Satriani, no Vai, no Morse, but yes Beck.

No offense Joe, but young people & also the less young shouldn't forget who has been the miraculous revolutionnary : evh.

& even if all the current shit around VH can be disappointing, that's an historic fact.

We often see posts about guitar greats but I can't remember seeing anyone singing Ritchie Blackmore's praises. Perhaps someone can explain why, I believe he was quite influential.

Cap : of course. Page, Iommi, Blackmore are the three fathers of hardrock music.

But you shouldn't worry about Blackmore.. he's famous.

& as everybody know Deep Purple,

i would put a Rainbow song with the prodigy Ronnie James Dio on the voice.

Sure Iron Maiden guys have grown with that.

There are certainly a lot of amazing guitar players that deserve discussion, but out of the top 100 of all time (opinion only of course) would everyone say that there are really only 10 to 15 revolutionary guitar players?

Has anyone of you seen the movie "Super Size Me" ? I t shows the whole truth about American Fast food, however it´s not just fast food, also mexican food has some issues, like tacos, gordas, quesadillas, tamales, tortas, corundas, tlacollos, sopes, memelas, volcanes and all that food aren´t really healthy either.

P.D.-I´m hungry...

Cappy Steve - That McRap was...interesting. ;-)

hybes - I think there are more than 10 or 15 that would fit into that category. I could maybe argue 25, but then you'll run into the problem where you'll reach fairly unknown guitarists who are just as good technically (if not better) than the big names. What makes someone "revolutionary"? And what do you do if one big name, someone like Satch, considers an unknown a big influence? Too many iffy things about the list...

Clapton, Beck, Page, Hendrix, Van Halen, Morse, Malmsteen, Vai, Satriani, Petrucci

There's 10 for you, but they all play a similar style of music...I've left out the jazzy guys entirely (Di Meola, Holdsworth), along with some of the straight up rockers (Blackmore, Perry, Slash). Now I'm at 15, but I still see a lot of holes in my list.

Tostado - I haven't seen Super Size Me, but I understand the point the movie is trying to make. I don't agree with it though...eating at any one restaurant, regardless of how healthy it is, and only one restaurant for a month will likely be unhealthy.

And three meals a day, regardless of the calories? He could've gone to any sit-down restaurant in the country that offers large portions, even if it's healthy, and still gained all that weight.

I know fast food isn't healthy, but I still eat it a few times a week. Then again, I'm also aware of what it'll do so I go to the gym 3-4 times per week. If only everyone did that...

Listening to: The John Butler Trio - Three (current song: Media)

This band is from Australia...are any of you T2Jers from down under familiar with his music? It's acoustic folk rock, kinda, but very jammy...

...Austin...

Zenfish- I think Ed is fantastic, phenomonal and outta sight. Love the man. I just wish he could keep his demons under control, and I know I sound judgemental. I realize demons get hold of lots of good people but you still have to do your best to resist.

Austin- the gym is the most important part of being fit. I have been out for the last month and I must make time to get back in the routine.
