Ozzy...so how bout now? Is it later enough?

I just recorded the Oh Yeah vid onto my cell so I can watch it at work. lol! I have no idea how to capture the vid and stuff like that. I just held my Nokia up to the screen and hit video. Ghetto smoov. LOL! Now when all them crazy bitches at work start making me wish I had shock collars for each of them, I can just go to my phone and relax with some Chickenfoots!

Hard to believe the weekend is almost over. *sigh*

So, seafood is american?

Nobody else has seas or oceans of course. {/sarcasm}{/snark}

Or do you mean deep fried sea-food? We invented fish and french fries, didn't we?

I'd say a corndog is American. The burger, too, unless someone knows better.

Maybe grits or shit-on-a-shingle is american.

That Chad Smith movie, Talladega Nights The Ballad of Ricky Bobby has the best 'american food' debate I've seen or heard.

I love crepes.

Austin: Interesting.

Probably a fairly safe call on Hamburgers, Hot Dogs and Fried Chicken. Although you cannot have a hamburger without beetroot! (flame suit ON).

However, Steak and Seafood are a basic food type, I think, for example, any coastal region around the world could claim "Seafood" as a local food type. Perhaps if you meant Spaghetti Marinara, then that's a certain preparation style, but then I'd probably say that's firmly italian. Or perhaps barbeque seafood, which is an asian-pacific thing, or actually any island community for that matter...

Which brings me to Pizza there are so many great pizzas all over the world with variations, it may be one of the only truly international dishes.

Not that I really care, I just love eating food!

HAHAHAHA.

I know this is out of context, but it's funny...

"We invented fish"

Cool, I think Australia Invented kangaroos, crocs, koalas and wombats, to name a few....

:)

hehehe

How about...APPLE PIE!!

Sorry, that's all I got. lmao!

So T, I dig this part - and totally get it -

Billboard: Hagar has said that you're tired of being a solo artist. Is that true?

Satriani: We had to show up to something, and I said, "You know what? I just want everyone to know I'm really embracing the idea of being the sort of mystery guitar player, the guy who shows up late, doesn't do the interviews." Because I realized, "Wow, I don't carry all that responsibility anymore, and I'm going to take advantage of it." So I guess it's not that I'm tired of being a solo artist. I guess it's just that it's so much fun to have three other crazy individuals to pick up all the slack. And so like today, I can hang out in my hotel room or bum around the city because I'm not the primary focus of the band.

Joe needed some Freedom

That song just gave me goosebumps. Always one of my favs from that time.

Ah, Roo:

I didn't mean to say 'we invented fish.'

I said "we invented 'fish and french fries.' which translated into British english would be "fish and chips," the dish.

I was trying to be chauvinistic in an ironic fashion.

I was trying to point out that America has almost Sweet FA in the way of indigenous foods.

Austin- Valid point on VH

Michelle- the grandson loves the OH Yeah vid. He even sings the "Well Well Well Well" part along with Sammy and the OH! Yeah!

Tostado- Arroz con Pollo for me! It's all good. Although I have been on an Italian food kick lately. We have 2 really good Mexican places in this small town.

My fav part of the 12 days of the foot is the end bit, where chad counts them in and they get the "Chad, Joe, Sammy and MIIIKKKKEEEE"

Joe's expression is priceless. You see at the start he's not really engaged, then as it goes on he's looking back and forth and the smile appears.

Then he says "Oh, I get it!"

LMAO.

Hey! This is nifty, I feel like Ralphie running into the bathroom with his Little Orphan Annie secret decoder ring & his Ovaltine jar!

My triangle says "Yes, Of Course".

I think this is a really fun idea, after I read the last few pages of the T2J board I literally ran to get my case & check it out.

Somebody ought to start a list, keep track of them all. I would if I had the time, sadly I'm swamped by life. Aiiieeeee!! (Welcome to de swamp?)

smooches,

I did understand what you meant. It was just funny how I first read it.

Mike : i didn't know. But man, jezz, Ray Gomez playing makes me think about a nice crossroad between Jeff & Yngwie.. so i can see why you proposed me this link. Nice vid, thx.

To say all Mike, i'm currently less attracted by soloing, as good as it can be, than by compositions.

Do you remember that stuff?

Yeap, that's old dream, but shit.

&, you got two mails.

Hmmm...I didn't mean to imply the US invented seafood, just that it's a food I think of as American (and I don't even like seafood! haha). The US has some of the largest coastlines in the world, so...

And I said seafood but I meant more than just fish...I had in mind dishes like gumbo, or Cajun food...they have their origins in other countries but today I think they're seen of as American. At least that's my impression with this example, having lived in Louisiana.

michelle - Good choice with the STP. I don't have that album, actually...I need to go buy it!
roo - I love, love, love hamburgers, but I've never had one with beets. I'll have to try that sometime. ;-) What else goes well with that?
BigBunny - I've heard good things about the new Mastodon album from some Dream Theater fans, but I haven't checked it out yet. Let me know what you think...are there any clips you'd recommend I try to find online? I actually don't know anything about the band...
And I haven't talked about Satch at all in this post, so...

It's been a while since someone has posted this...enjoy!
