GoldenGirl2 - Yes alen and unconventional. I think everything I have ever seen or read about Buckethead is he's just somewhere off in his own land. Hell, when you get kicked out of an interview by Ozzy Ozbourne you know there's something crazy with you. LOL.
I think the guy is brilliant though. He really knows how to compose music. Jordan was my first experience with Buckethead. He's been hard for me to follow too closely because he's so obscure.

Hey, I was digging through the archives trying to find when (if) Jeff had posted on T2J. I have a recollection he had, but wanted to confrim. Can anyone point me to his login ID/author_ID or archived page where he posted?
Did the Bissonnettes, Jonathan or others ever post here?
I found Stooo and Eric no problem.

Rockline went well...it wasn't a call-in show this time., but I still think it was a great interview. They played just about every song from the album, either in full or as bumper music going into/out of commercials. They also played music from the guys' other bands as bumper music too.
They didn't really cover anything that we haven't already heard from other interviews or podcasts, but I think it was a good show for the "average" fans who were probably listening.
Some favorite quotes I heard:
"I'm gonna have a year off, and that was almost two years ago." - Chad, telling Sammy about an opening in his schedule for the band
"One genius and the three idiots" - Chad, on Joe and the rest of the band
"Any dark, warm, moist, place" - Chad, on where you can put the album to make the cover change colors
"Hey I wonder what would happen if you peed on it? It might clarify everything right then and there." - Sammy, on the album cover
I think the greatest one-liner of the night came when Bob (the host) was asking about the future, and he said everyone had other projects they were working on...I don't know who it was, but someone in the background yelled "We do?" and everyone started laughing.
Sammy then made a crack about the band going "Until we wanna kill Chad" for his obligations with the RHCP. Then Chad asked why you can't be in more than one band at once. I think at least half the band would like to ask a certain guitarist they used to work with that same question. But I won't get into that. ;-)

Evening Skippy- Happy Friday coming.
Austin- As big a fan of Sammy as I am, I have been to see him twice since VH but don't own a single post- VH album, I don't really know why...I think it had to do with airplay in this area, which kills a lot of albums. They just don't get the push around here, especially classic rock. I haqve said before, I wish mainstream radio would move away from the pre-programmed, play this, don't play that. I always wanted to DJ or at least program music for radio.
Thanks for the nudge though. I will start with 10-13.
Once again I am amazed at the power of music. With all that is going on right now in the world, someone like Nima has something real on their mind. Joe look what you have done. Bridging gaps. I am glad someone is reaching out, when it seems all that we do is to oppose or defend. Bless you Nima and all your friends. We are glad to know you.

Billboard Top 200....Chickenfoot holds steady at #4 for the second week in a row :)
And yep, Rockline was fun last night, Joe could barely get a word in edgewise which is prolly a new experience for him, since he's usually on these things alone. They mentioned the "genius guitarist" a coupla times and you could just hear the pause as they musta all turned to look at Joe...who would then laugh :)
And I swear....more than once....I'm pretty sure Bob Coburn had no idea what to do with these guys cuz they were crazy outta control, LOL!! Fun times!

if people think hes a genius guitarist just from hearing the chickenfoot stuff, they must be absolutly bemused with the other joe stuff
I was celaning out the spare room there and found some old cassette tapes, the sound is soo much cooler and better!
bring back tapes and vinyl i say
mp3 and digital audio tracks ruin everything, damn society wanting everything convienient and quick, its slowly going to be the cause of humaity's demise!! ...whoah extreme there al but as usual like everything you say, probably correct...
USA is 0-1 down to Brazil in teh Confederations cup, just checked the score there! that was quick!

HI joe!. I`m Hernan Castro, I`m from Argentina, I live in Buenos Aires. This is the first time I try to contact you. I went to the concert of G3 on 2006/10/23 in Luna Park and in Obras on 2008/7/25. I was so exciting to meet you. I have your DVDs: G3 live in concert, G3 live in tokio, G3 live in denver, Joe Satriani live in San Francisco, Joe Satriani live in India and Joe satriani: stach tapes. I love your music. I love Steve Vai` songs too. Sometimes, I listen to Jimmy Hendrix`s music, and my favourites songs are: voodoo child, hey joe, foxey lady and little wing. I love little wing played in the DVD called G3 live in denver.
I play some of your songs. My favourites songs are: the extremist, crying, summer song, super colossal, andalusia, surfing with the alien, always with me always with you, I just wanna rock, crowd chant and ten words.
Either, Vai`songs like for the love of god, tender surrender and erotic nightmares.
I have played guitar since 2005. Now, I`m 16 years old and I have played for 3 or 4 years.
I admire you and I want to be like you.
Write me soon. I will waiting for your letter.
PD: to be honest, Chickenfoot it`s great! My favourite song is Soap on a rope. I hope you will visit Argentina very soon.
YOU ROCK!!!
Hernan
