elpp - Yeah...that tour was booked as the "Hottest Chicks In Metal" tour, with a few other bands on the bill as well. Within Temptation and Lacuna Coil were the only two who were any good though.

I love Lacuna Coil, and I thought they were good live the few times I've seen them. What bugs me most is the style of their last few albums. They haven't "sold out" or anything like that, but their music has definitely become less complex as they've become more popular.

And now when they play live, they stick to their last three (less interesting) albums almost exclusively...ignoring their earlier awesome stuff.

Here is a shot of half of the band doing an acoustic performance at a music store in West LA (Satch has done stuff there in the past). Cristina sounded great there.

cheese101 - Argh again...ticket broker sites are also telling me Chickenfoot will be playing at the Gibson Amphitheater in LA on September 27. I'd prefer this venue to Berkeley if Berkeley is assigned seating. But I don't want to skip the Berkeley on-sale if this one hasn't yet been announced...what if it never happens?

The guys have always said they wanted to book a 30-35 show tour going until September 30. On Rockline (which was pre-recorded, granted), Joe or someone said they'd do 34 dates. The tour schedule as it is now is only 27 shows. I don't know if they can fit another 7 shows into the gaps, but I think it's a safe bet more are coming.

I'd hate for us both to buy Berkeley tickets and then find out they're playing in LA and Seattle. Ugh...

Got the vinyl and cd Austin. Safe n sound. Very cool! Thanks mate, and thank you Joe for the personal message.

I've also worked out the magic 8-ball messages! They are answers to these exact questions in this order: "can I get backstage passes? Mind if I hang out with you guys? Will coldplay win? Can I have one of joes old guitars? And... Please keep having fun and putting out heaps of cool music for years to come."

I worked it out because the answers I got made sense: "yes, of course", "by all means, yes", "not gonna happen", "sure, if you want to" and "OK".

Finally! My windows mail is working again.

Michelle and Tracie--Sorry about the Shizzle, .....Didn't mean to shake you up!

Still concerned about alcoholic tendencies in people because my maternal Grandfather was ill that way. It screwed up my mom and uncle's upbringing and I was confused and angry as a kid because no one told me what was goin' on until I was well into adulthood. My sexual thinking is all over the map! I DON"T DENY I HAVE AN ILLNESS. But it's MY problem and no one elses and I'm usually pretty tame.....as you are my witnesses!! I will be making a pledge/promise to you all here soon about my depression/panic disorder (self-destructive habits to learn my way out). It has to do with my straight hairstyle or not. Cutting.

Austin, u should get that Black Symphony DVD then (Within Temptation). It's a live performance with orchestra (oh no, not another band with orchestra!!! jajaja) but they pulled it off quite nicely, very theatrical-looking performance.

roo: LOL!

Currently listening to and watching: Lamb of God - Killadelphia / Song: Hourglass pretty nasty grooves they got. I'd pay big bucks to see them tour with Hatebreed...

elpp - I bought Black Symphony recently but haven't had time to watch it. I think it's next on my list...I'll definitely let you know what I think.

I just bought a Jeff Buckley DVD the other day that I absolutely love...more on that one from me in a bit.

just a copy of the latest news post in case you didn't see it :}

we're happy to report that we have resumed the SATRIANI.COM tradition of provided free aftershow passes to one lucky winner for each non-festival chickenfoot date! as usual, you will need to already have your ticket, and winners will pick up their passes at the box office will-call booth. joe is making time out to say hello, but there is no full-band meet & greet happening.

to enter, pick up your tickets as usual, and then sign up as attending here on SATRIANI.COM. winners are chosen a few days before the show and notified via email. winners need to have picture ID under the name listed on their SATRIANI.COM account profile.

There's a page for the Chickenfoot gig in Berkeley on the promoter's website here. The show will have assigned seating, but that's not the weirdest thing. Davy Knowles is opening, then Queensryche (what the?), then Chickenfoot? That's about the most unusual lineup I've ever seen.

There's still no word on an LA show, but these tickets aren't quite as expensive as I thought they'd be (they top out at $65) so I think I'll go ahead and do it.

Tracie, are you and Chris in?

What about you, Aaron? My brother and dad are also going to the show (they'll probably meet me there from Sacramento), but I could still carpool up for you if you wanted to...unless you're waiting for an LA show. Let me know...

EDIT - Webmaster Jon, if I caught you here...can you give us any hints, if you know anything, about Chickenfoot at the Gibson Amphitheater in LA on 9/27? Is that true?

I still dunno Austin....that's a wierdy line-up, including Back Door Slam.....where's CHICKENFOOT! I like Davey Knowles....and can do without the other two. Not sure I wanna go yet fer a seated venue and all that stuffs before we get to the good stuffs, lol....

Decisions would be so much easier if we only had the rest of the tour dates up...so webmaster Jon, while yer telling Austin about the LA show, could you also let us know about the rest of the shows, as in a possible Reno, or Las Vegas, or Portland, OR show? If I knew those answers, it would influence where we go.....

And tickets go on sale in one more day...sigh....

PS, Austin, there's yer Gibson show up on the tour date schedule, so u at least have yer answer.
