Scooby Doo - Wow, I remember Kansas from way back, early to mid seventies I think (me and Mr Beer have been chatting for a while), around the time of the best of Deep Purple, Led Zep and Pink Floyd, didn't realise you were around my age group. Annyhoo, best of luck to Kerry Livgren and his nearest and dearest.

turbo236 - Cool. Take your time with the drive...don't wear yourself out. If nothing else, there'll be plenty of time for us to talk while we're waiting in line before the show...
michelle - I wonder what your bat in the attic (I forget its name) will think of the Bombastic Meatbats?
mikesb - Thanks for the news about Kerry Livgren, even though it isn't good. I looked online but can't find much information...let us know if you hear any updates...

Satriiani, those are my exact feelings about Led Zeppelin. Great instrumental, the moment the guy starts singing, I have to switch it off :( And I've tried, but there's no use, I think I'm alergic to his voice. The same happens with AC/DC.

The Moral of Auntie Sharon
A teacher gave her class of 11 year olds an assignment: To get their parent to tell them a story with a moral at the end of it.
The next day the kids came back and one by one began to tell their stories.
Ashley said, 'My father's a farmer and we have a lot of egg-laying hens. One time we were taking our eggs to market in a basket on the front seat of the car when we hit a big bump in the road and all the eggs got broken.'
'What's the morale of that story?' asked the teacher.
'Don't put all your eggs in one basket!'
'Very good,' said the teacher.
Next little Sarah raised her hand and said, 'Our family are farmers too. But we raise chickens for the meat market. One day we had a dozen eggs, but when they hatched we only got ten live chicks, and the moral to this story is, 'Don't count your chickens before they're hatched'.'
'That was a fine story Sarah.'
Michael, do you have a story to share?'
'Yes. My daddy told me this story about my Aunty Sharon. Aunty Sharon was a flight engineer on a plane in the Gulf War and her plane got hit.
She had to bail out over enemy territory and all she had was a bottle of whisky, a machine gun and a machete.
She drank the whiskey on the way down so it wouldn't break and then she landed right in the middle of 100 enemy troops.
She killed seventy of them with the machine gun until she
ran out of bullets.
Then she killed twenty more with the machete until the blade broke.
And then she killed the last ten with her bare hands.'
'Good heavens,' said the horrified teacher, 'what kind of moral did your daddy tell you from that horrible story?'
'Stay away from Aunty Sharon when she's been drinking.'

You guys were awesome in Myrtle Beach--just the right medicine after a stressful few weeks! Don't know where you found DK & BDS, but glad you did!
My husband introduced me to Satch music many years back. We were married for 21 years and worked together 24. He passed away Jan 07. I used "Friends" as backgorund music for a video tribute to him at his service--very fitting for an amazing person who was well liked by many!
I love the stories of some of your music on The Electric Joe Satriani-An Anthology--I have a curiosity for peoples' "stories" and for me, these give your music soul.
Rock on!

Thinking of picking up the SATCHURATOR. Has anyone here actually used this pedal? is it as great at low volumes as I hear it is? The reviews are all five stars, but I wanna hear from you guys....honestly....is it really that good or should I look at a different pedal too. I live in a small town where the music stores don't carry the pedal, so I can't even try it...I would have to order it in.

Only nine posts in the last 12 hours? What's wrong with everyone? ;-)
bennhutmgr - Welcome to the site! Thanks for sharing your story...good to hear you're still listening to Joe after your husband's death. I'm sure you have lots of happy memories...
minimoog - Satchurator reviews have generally been favorable. I don't have one, but some of the other regular posters here do...they'll speak up in time, I'm sure.
Listening to: Stu Hamm - Outbound (current song: Star-Spangled Banner)
I haven't listened to this album in at least a few years...such a good one!

minimoog - Have no doubt, the Satchurator is a good distortion pedal, but there are a lot of good distortion out there. I really enjoy using mine, It works well for me. I'm sure there's others out there that don't feel the same way. The only way to tell if you like it, is to try it.
Edit: Sorry, I just read my post, and that didn't really help you none, now did it!!!

DO THE STU- I think we need some BLUE. As in , Hey Joe, hows it going? lol
But seriously , safe travels to the peeps going to ChickenHoe have a awesome time and tell us all about it ( for the peeps who have to stay in their coops)
Been listening the last few days to PSATMOR. Love it more now than the first time I heard it.
axeshredderjc- lol . I was thinking the same thing but every time I go to listen to something different, I think I have to hear this or that song of Joes Or Chickenfoot first and I just don't get to the other music.
This has been going on for months , not sick yet.

Only reason I can see ANYone bashing Joe's playing is jealousy.
Austin, we haven't seen Henry in a while. Hopefully all the measures my husband took to evict him worked. By the by, send me yer address. I couldn't get my son's cd to T-Bones in time for Tahoe. Man, I wish I could see CF again with everyone. I had so much fun wit mah bitches. lol!
Today I'm cleaning, writing bills, blasting Grooveshark, and making an overall attempt to be productive up in here. Burning some nag champa and trying to get some positive vibes flowing. lol! I'm having a great time rockin' the house! Haven't had a day to myself over the summer with the kids home.
Song playing now - Get Ready Killer solos :-)
Darl, I was trying to watch a RHCP dvd last night, and I had a giggle fit. I said to my hubs "I gotta do it! I gotta send that pic to Joe!" He laughed and told me to go for it. lmao!! With all the craziness of CF, I bet Joe will have a good laugh when he see's it. Call me crazy, but I wanna print it out and hang it up somewhere. It's just so friggin funny! If I didn't have so many kids running through here, it would be right next to a picture of me dear ol' mum. lmao! She'd love it and prolly double up laughing...ohhhh, remind me of that idea for my Christmas eve party!!! lmao!!
