I imagined that he was using Marshall just for convenience on the european tour.Maybe it's a little far fetched, but I know that shipping costs are ridiculous.

If he really is switching companies, then I would love to see him playing good stuff like THD, Bogner, Dr.Z, Fuchs or something.Enough of the typical stuff.

well mr satch, i've always liked your music, you're one of my guitar heroes , an inspiration.. and the G3 formation was just amazing , seeing guys like you, Steve, Eric, Yngwie and John well man i fell like i wanna be a guitar player ....but as you always change the guitar line , i was talking with my friend it would be wonderful if you tour with probably the firts G3 formation , yeah bring your memories back in 1991, Sevilla..ohhh man it was marvelous, i mean Steve will say yes and i may believe that Brian May(he's my favorite one ) will say yes , it must be great to relive those moments and perhaps Mr Eddie van Halen can join them ....

Cube--Because you are not offended by what I say and you take it in stride because you know what I meant......unlike mccleaf and safley who think they are the moral guardians of this forum!!! ffs........hypocrisy sure seems to be the ruler of the day! What about that vid that M posted with that guy doing the moves on himself in his truck viewed through his open sun roof a month or two ago? And I just posted a few words without pictures/vids and I meant it to be in fun!

Webmaster John Luini-- YOU ARE MY WITNESS. If I have done wrong, please kick me off here immediately!!! Make GoldenGirl2 go bye bye!!!

I actually prefer his old Marshall sound. The Peavey and the JS-1200 together is a bit harsh...but only a little bit.

GG2: Before this gets out of hand, let me be perfectly clear on this. I saw your post for what it was, a fun birthday wish for McK, and my post was a continuation of that playfulness. I can't say I wasn't surprised, bit shocked maybe, but I definitely took no offense to it. If anything I now apologize if I made you feel bad with my response. As always I wish you and Steve the best.

I had a rather depressing Father's Day, not ready to talk about it in detail yet.

But I have chosen not to let anything bring me down anymore. So I skipped work today, went out and bought the new Dream Theater CD and installed a new stereo and speakers in my car (the stereo and speakers being the gift I gave myself for Father's Day). I also bought my ticket for the Candlebox show on July 3rd.

HEEEEEELLLLLLL YEEEEEEAAAAAAHHHHHHHH. I think this sums up my feelings about the CD and June 23, 2009 in general. Haven't listened to the covers yet, I may go out and drive around just to crank them up!!!!

Hey Austin, the ages old question has been answered: Mike can has blast beats!!! :)

Milli, first of all, don't ever call me mccleaf, kthanks. I thought your post was effed because Al is old enough to be your son, and it's just nasty to think of someone his mother's age talking to him like that. However, with that said, I did make light of it by making a comment that Cube was visiting Ireland. I held back on saying what I really wanted to say for the sake of the board...till now.

I really hate that moral guardian bullshit you brought up too. Anybody that knows me knows how I roll. I'm not easily offended, and I honestly could give a flying fuck what you think about me or any of my friends. You can dig up a hundred "offensive" posts of mine - including this one, and ya know what...who cares?

I got kids around Al's age, and if there was some nasty old lady saying to my son what you said to Al, she'd have my fist in her teeth. Show me a mom who wouldn't do the same - or a dad for his daughter if a man said it.

I wasn't going to say anything else about your post and it was just going to be forgotten, but YOU called ME out.

I wish you the best with yer mental stability, and I wish yer husband the best with his health. Have a nice night Milli.

I have to add this - You say "Alan--The luni is still here even though mauled by M & T! " Where in the past have I "mauled" you? Show me what I said that was so horrible. I said "say huh?" and I said "Cube, I didn't know you were going to see Al tonight? bow-chicka-wow-wow! " - THAT'S IT! How is that mauling you.

And for all future references, Tracie and I are two separate people. You always post our names together like we're one person. *sigh*

Apologies to everyone. I'm done on this subject.

SuperSwingDog - I remember as soon as Joe switched to Peavey a lot of people thought the same as you do...I think that was back on the G3 tour with Vai and Malmsteen, right?

I agreed at the time, but I think the amp has improved since then. I think it sounds great with the style of music Joe has been playing since then (which is a bit different than his earlier albums, granted).

I'm excited about the change because it'll be something new. At first I thought it'd just be a short-term thing, like someone (cosmic_ape?) said, and even Joe's quote in the MusicRadar article makes it sound that way. But the way Peavey has handled it makes me think otherwise...I guess we'll have to wait and see how it all plays out.

What do you play through, again?

cheese101 - I got the new DT this morning. Their last album (Systematic Chaos) is my least favorite of theirs so I was worried about this one. But I think the new one is above average for the band. I'll post a review soon...I need to listen to it a few more times first.

And I still haven't listened to the new Mars Volta album I also got today. I need to do that now...

elpp - Yes Mike can has! Awesome...haha.

Sorry to hear about Father's Day, but congrats on the new stereo...do you have a CD changer as well? I have a six-disc changer in my car and it makes road trips wonderful.

I remember my family got our dad a new CD changer on Father's Day back in 2001. The day we went to get it installed was the day Joe's Live In San Francisco CD was released, and that's what we used to test it.

But to bring this back to DT, that's also the day I bought their Metropolis 2000 DVD because T2Jers recommended it (you were around back then...maybe it's your fault?). ;-) I saw the G3 tour with John Petrucci a few weeks later and the rest is history...

michelle - I know you're a fan...have you heard the new DT album yet? What do you think?

...Austin...

pip - i admit it-- when i'm around the guys it is always a guaranteed good time indeed! the daisies line is a reference to joe's comments joking about his original lyrics.

Do The Stu I agree on the risk of DT becoming a parody. I still think it's best album of the year, but the lyrics suggest a depth that is not there. And what I noticed straight away was a poor balance. Where are Myung and Rudess in the mix? Behind producers Petrucci and Portnoy. I think it's time DT starts using an honest independent fair outisde producer. P&P's ego's are getting a bit in the way? Oh and the bassdrum sounds flat as a phonebook. But in spite of all those little opinions that don't matter I like it a lot. Petrucci has some great new sounds.
Off to work. Have a nice day.

Mick Brigden rocks out - go Mick!

Check out the head bangin stylee of Mr Mick

This Peavey thing looks like it's really gone south!

Scubadaz - I haven't been there for a few years so I'll check it all out later. Shout you if I find anything useful

Skippygirl - following on from Do The Stu about Joe's gear, there was a period where when Joe was abroad he'd just pick up some Peavey gear at the country he was in, then sign it and leave it behind. I think that might be on one of his posts here if you search it

Do The Stu - no email from you about the related something yet - did you change your mind?

... and yes, shame on me re attendance. It's one of those tiny things I should have done but haven't got round to. Hope to catch up with Joe anyway, fingers crossed

Elpp - sorry to hear Fathers day not so good. Keep the music on, stay positive, good vibes from me

Cheese - no worries. Be sure to check out Mick above

Webmaster - we know you've already tried but perhaps you can persuade those lyrics out of Joe and post them ; ) Seems funny that he's really shy about them, they couldn't have been THAT bad.

I actually thought it was Thursday when I woke up so I had an extra spring in my step (despite the 3 hour tennis marathon last night). Oh well, guess I can get excited all over again tomorrow

Chickenfoot Thursday - yeehaw!
