lmao! I was just sayin'....
Aww, don't be bitter. We all want Joe back, but he's having so much fun with Chickenfoot ya can't hold a grudge. lol! I mean, when you go to see Chickenfoot, you still get to see JOE, and he sings and rocks out like nobody's bidness too! This is the first sidestep he's done in a long time. He'll be back to "just Joe" soon enough, but for right now, he's that killer guitarist in that band called Chickenfoot :-)
and now...here's more Chad!! LMAO!!!

yeah, you still get to hear joe, but you have to wait through 3 minutes of albeit pretty sweet riffs and out of tune singing to hear joe be the master.
not to mention, i'm not out of high school, Joe's never come close enough for me to see him...and you can understand why when i finally get that chance i wanna hear joe without sammy right?

burly: ...is it really as much fun as watching Satch, Vai, Petrucci, Gilbert, Malmsteen, and whoever go at it with Stu, LaRue, and Sheehan backing up, and Jeff and Portnoy back there rocking the drums?

Yes, but in a different kinda way. Music is fun and you gotta look at how much fun Joe is having with this group of guys.
It's really something special when a musician can make it fun for himself. And that is precisely what Joe is doing. I love Satch, Vai and all the others, but there is a whole other world out there with rock and roll. It's a mood, a way of life. It's a feeling. It's well...Rock and Roll. Joe will be back, have patience my friend.

Got my Meatbats pack today yyiippeee listening right now it's very groovy, really like it.
Decided to give the T shirt to Mr Skippy for Xmas, he'll like it. Nice signed pic etc too, nice touch.
roo - PLEASE wear pants I don't wanna see any Aussie guys freeballin in the vids on youtube LOL. Hope you run into the others, take a pic of the group OK? I do expect you to provide some youtube Footage right Mr Boots?
And you got mail, see if you can reply before you go?
burly - I'll take a Joe show anyway I can get one, whether with Chickenfoot, solo, whatever! It's all Joe, and I think it's been great to hear him in a new band and obviously having such a great time.
I have wondered what might happen if he teamed up with a big name for a couple of songs, how much it would lift his profile. You kow how he "duets" with Sammy really, how they alternate the lead? I really would like to see him try that on a song or two with a big name singer, probably female I don't know. She'd have to be equally as powerful on the vocals as he is on the guitar. Any ideas?

Scubadaz, I recognize Kahler isn't the best trem system in the world, but once you get used to it, you don't want anything else.
Probably if I got used to Floyd Rose I wouldn't stand to play with a Kahler but since fate has decided another way (my first Strat came with a Kahler, almost 20 years ago, long before I even knew what a Floyd Rose was), I find myself pretty happy with it.
When I play with a Floyd Rose, I find its response strange (it's just a matter of habit, I guess).
Cheers, dude,
VP

By the way, about this tranquilizers, drugs discussion...
If GG2 is serious about finding the solutions to her problems in heroin and other drugs, then I'm pretty sure she's totally WRONG! Sorry, GG2, but that's not open for discussion :) You seem to be a very young person to be talking like that. I'm talking about mental age. If you let, life will teach one or two important things... Keep your mind open.
Even if it's a doctor prescribing the drug, it is still a drug. You can see it as a temporary solution to help you gather the conditions to fix your problems, but it is obvious that the solution lies in you, never in some kind of medication and/or drug.
But, imo, she's right about something: how different is drugs and alcohol or medication abuse?
I tell you the difference: social acceptance
Why are we some judgmental about someone that admits she/he likes to take drugs and so tolerant to someone who likes to drink alcohol?
I see no difference besides social acceptance...
Sorry if this is not of my business (probably isn't).
Abraços,
VP
