Thanks Mc, yer a peach. lol!

Really good vids up from Cork already Al Check out the rest of this guys vids.

I told Joe I know the band is staying in Cork an extra night so they can see Flo Rida at the same venue. lol!

Shorty got them apple bottom jeans, boots with the fur, the whole club was lookin' at her, She hit the flo, Next thing you know - Shorty got low low low low low low low low

Hey, at least I didn't post the video. lmao!!!

I was listening to Joe's cd in my car yesterday. Rubina's Blue Sky Happiness was playing on my way to work. It was a beautiful morning, and that song made it the perfect ride. I wish every morning was like that. It was so relaxing and really gave me some good vibes for the day.

Cube, if you had 8 kids almost all at the same time, I'm sure yer tard factor would rise a few notches. lol! The stress and "trauma" of having that responsibility to keep it all rolling must be immense. It's really a shame they threw in the towel. Dunno if they tried counseling or not - but I think it might have been a great idea for them. It's just sad neither of them changed and readjusted their 'tudes sooner. He needed to man up, and she needed to chill out.

Scubs - take yer amp tomorrow.

I took notice that Sammy voice was pretty strained too. He really has to belt it out on songs like A.R., so it's no wonder really.

I got my tickets for Chickenfoot in Berkeley this morning. I had to throw some lame ones back for a few minutes, but I ended up with some that will be fine. I'd call my seats "good", but not "great" or "excellent".

I'm toying with the idea of also going to the Universal City show, so I went over there to look at tickets next. I didn't buy, but I found out that the fan club's four-ticket limit is not per show but per the entire presale (the entire tour, possibly).

I don't know if this will help anyone now that we're near the end of the presales, but oh well. ;-)

davidoconnell - Thanks for posting your review. It sounds like you had a great time at the show. FYI, the Crate amps (one or two, depending on the size of the venue) are part of Sammy's rig, not Joe's. Sammy uses them at his solo shows, too.
tulsachops - Welcome back! Do you have the Chickenfoot CD yet? What do you think?
mowlie_2000 - You need to post more...it's good to see you here again lately.
Phydeaux_3 - We talked about That1Guy earlier. Maybe I asked you before, but I don't remember...what would be a good album of his to buy? Didn't you say he collaborated with Buckethead on one?
scubadaz - Don't forget your tickets, when you move them to take the amp! ;-)
Listening to: Rush - Roll The Bones (current song: Where's My Thing? Part IV, "Gangster Of Boats" Trilogy)

DTS - You really can't go wrong but I'd suggest the newest one to start with, The Moon Is Disgusting, it's the most polished effort to date. Songs In The Key Of Beyotch is the one before that, also quite good. Let's Hear That1Guy is his "first" album and very underproduced. He & Buckethead did an album as The Frankenstein Brothers, it's called Bolt On Neck, it's very experimental & I like it a LOT. There was a quote by one reviewer who said: "That1Guy has more funk in his one little finger than most people have in their whole refrigerator" and I tend to agree.

Brian May has some very nice things to say about Chickenfoot on his website. The link is on the front page. On Satch: "a finer guitarist you can find nowhere on this planet"...

Aaand...it looks like Peavey fixed their press release. Joe is back in the photo and acknowledged as a member of the band.

It's still early, but I'll go back to one of the first things I said...I bet Joe is using Marshall on the tour until the Peavey JSX 50 is released and he can somehow incorporate some of those qualities into a larger amp that'll work for amphitheater shows.

hybes (and everyone) - Ah, Dredg... I think the band sounds like a cross between U2 and Rush. They have four full-length albums, all of which are very different from each other.

I'd recommend starting with either Catch Without Arms (2005) or The Pariah, The Parrot, The Delusion (2009). Their other albums are El Cielo (2002), which was my favorite before their new album came out, and Leitmotif (1998). Don't get that one until the end...it sounds the least like anything else they've done.

Here are YouTube links to music videos of some singles from their last three albums:
Information (from The Pariah...)
Bug Eyes (from Catch Without Arms)
Same Ol' Road (from El Cielo)

And here are two more YouTube links:
Cartoon Showroom (my favorite song from The Pariah...)
Planting Seeds (my favorite song from Catch Without Arms)

That last video is a live performance...yes, that's a typewriter the lead singer is using (and yes, it's miked so you can hear him type). A few years ago he'd type messages throughout the show on small pieces of paper and throw them out into the crowd. I caught one at the first show I went to, it said "thanks for sitting in the front".

Dredg is very different from the music most people seem to listen to here, but they're an excellent band and are well worth getting into.

Hybes: I'm glad u asked! It's a talk2joe app, it just makes it really easy to read/search/post on the iPhone. I posted this message from it now.

It adds footer stuff like what song you're listening to and whatever else you set up for your own footer.

All that for $1.99! It'll be on the app store shortly. It's on my iPhone dock so I can open it quickly and check posts anytime.
