Glitzy - didn't forget you it's just been a mad, mad week. Hope you can get to the Chicago Foot show (ChickenChic?) it would be great to hear your review. Wow 150 miles sounds like alot, you must go through runners (sneakers) pretty fast! Are you hitting PB's in your races?

Life is flat out over here, with our end of financial year 30 June everything is frantic, typical of each year. But then July is pretty laid back. In fact it's almost a year since I saw Joe at the Forum in Melbourne July 17 I think it was. What a great night that was and it started my whole T2J road, where I have "met" great peeps like you and other forum members. This July I'm seeing Pink with my daughters, wish it was Joe or the Foot.

Never enough time for guitar practice and Lord knows I need it. Grappling with the engineering difficulties of one's pinky finger being so much shorter than the others and how to play scales when 4 fingers are all different lengths and the pinky is a real problem. Plus I have to keep cutting my nails :0). Still slowly working on Ten Words though.

Have a great weekend Glitzy.

burly - morning to you, how's that drum kit going? Don't do a "Chad" to it \m/ haha

Bizarrely enough Scuba's view was about 1 foot to the left of my view... and Satriella was 2 rows back and a little left. NJ Beast was there somewhere and I assume Anibur made it

Skippy - I got the feeling the beer was a consolation for not getting a drum stick. Chad was doing his best to fire them at me but they were all near misses. Chad really is a crazy mo fo, funny as f**k!

... and they should swap him in to do some Saturday Night Live sketches, I bet no one wouldn't realise it's NOT will

Very surreal about Michael. Somebody 'brought it to everyone's attention' after the gig but we kinda figured it was just someone who'd had a little too much drink

RIP MIchael

WELCOME- to the new guys and gals.

Pip and Scuba- Glad to hear about the show, sounds like they were having a good night.

Tracie- I considered the Tahoe trip myself but I think I will take my chances on the foot coming to a town close by. Have fun, there should be plenty to do there.

Glitzman- We had several days of 96-99 F. Looks like we may get a little break from the extreme heat. The humidity has been a killer here too. Great to hear things are going well. Looks like the economy may rebound if we can just keep the speculators out of the fuel market and keep gas prices down.

Skippy- I did some crazy things while drumming (like breathing fire with a bottle of pure grain alcohol and a drumstick torch) but never trashed a kit. The fire thing really pi**ed the club owner off. The cieling over the stage was low and the flames went crazy. I guess I felt I needed to up my bad boy image.

Off t' work. Weekend coming..enjoyif you don't have to work. A gentle rain would help out around here this afternoon..not too much though..just a little. So if anyone can send me about 1-1.5 inches of precip, it would be appreciated. Have already prayed for it.

Thanks for all the great reviews! I LOVE reading that stuff.

Also, somebody said "who's next?" in regards to the whole celebrity death thing, having seen the latest pics of Courtney Love I'd be putting my money squarely on her to go soon. Real soon. Now keep in mind, I don't want anyone to die, I just have a hunch after seeing how absolutely skinny she's become that she's not a healthy camper at all.

Anyways, RIP Farrah & Jacko. Both way too young.

smooches,
» Phył

Oh scuby what a GREAT report sounds like you had a fab time, and you didn't know you were next to Pip in the queue??? And you got a Chadstick - way hay that's great....must have been great to be so up close to Joe and watch him play, and to meet Satriella.

*sigh* oh well I spose the Foot will come Down Under eventually, but SO glad you had such a terrific time.

Calling all Aussies lurking around the forum you MUST post and get in touch so we can connect for the Foot tour in Oz!!

burly - OMG you were breathing fire as a drummer??????? Wow now THAT is impressive, reminds me of KISS!!!! hahahahah - hope you have some footage of that, you sure are one wild farmer :0)

On another topic, we watched Slumdog MIlionaire tonight, I must be the last person to see it, and it was really a great movie, wonderful story.

The babbling thing about Mickaël Jackson's death has started.

The guy has been very great.

He has been very lost & alone.

I get only one point : to me, the Funky Genius Man is Prince.

I really shouldn't be asking you, I feel shy about asking, but I want it so bad. Don't get me wrong, it's just that I haven't had it for a long, long time. I could already feel it going in so hard and coming out so soft and wet. No one has to know about this. I need it. I'm desperate, but I would be ever so grateful. You must think I have a lot of nerve asking you for this, but I can feel my tongue around it sucking all the juice out until there is no more left. This has been on my mind all day long. I'm not usually like this, but...... can I have a piece of gum?

Yes, very expensive, aprox 234 bucks for a good seat.
I wasn't quite sure to spend my money, as I've seen U2 two or three times before, but my bro is quite a fan, and he made up my mind to go with him.

Wow sounds like it was another great night at a Chickenfoot show! Thankx to everyone who posted on this.

Scuba & Pip I know what you mean about being so close to Joe. At the Boston & NY shows me and the mrs. were within 2 to 3 feet. There was the barrier then us. Thats one of the reasons we've watched the vids we took over and over again. To watch Joe that close was my idea of heaven. Every note played flawlessly and without any visible effort. I still don't know how he gets the finger spread that he does. I would have to cut off my pinky and add more meat between my fingers and then have my pinky reattached a couple of inches over to make that spread. Simply perfection. Going to have all our vids put on a DVD Saturday and make multiple copies so we can wear out the discs. Man what was Chad doing, those poor drums, he beats them up enough! Poor Sammy probably didn't know what hit him!

Congrats Punkdude75 on the new addition. Got 3 of my own with the oldest in the Army National Guard, one in college and one in high school. One piece of advice I can give is just let the children be children for as long as you can because before you know it 20 years goes by in the blink of an eye.

Catch everybody later.

Monterrey Trace - Daft as it may sound, yes I am relieved. I won't be back on that ship so you can delete the e-mail addy from your contacts. No idea what I want to do at the moment, sick and tired of being away for months at a time on the (allegedly fake) sea.

Spinal Tap presents the nominations for this year's Classic Rock magazine awards:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Db-TOCD_YI

The "best new band" category begins at 3:45. Nigel Tufnel mentions ours.

So how many T2Jers got together at the gig last night? I think we had nine people in SF last year...did you guys top that, or no?
scubadaz - Come on...spill it! What's Joe's new pedal? Or what else isn't it, maybe? ;-)
T1MER1DER - Conan collects guitars. He also plays...
ibanezguitars - I wanted to see U2, I really did. I think if I liked the new album more I'd have done it.

I saw them two nights in a row in Anaheim on the Vertigo tour and they were amazing...some of the best concerts I've ever seen. My webcast interview with Joe was just a week or two after those shows, at a smaller theater just a few blocks away from the arena where U2 played.

Joe seemed really interested in the shows...I guess he hasn't ever been able to see them in concert.

anibur - Thanks for sharing the pictures... :-)

Roo - Nice job with the Apps. Unfortunately I can't donate to your cause as I do not own an iphone. I do have a 1st generation touch but the only time I'm around a wi-fi connection with it I have my compouter. Someday when I break away from T-Mobile I may try one out though.

Do the Stu - Thanks for the info. That makes a lot of sense now. I was sitting there watching that special on NBC and I was amazed at how fast the journalists pulled those stories together! Duoh!

Blue Moon - At least the beer guy was close by.

Burly - Are any of your crops able to grow in this heat??? My gosh. It's here early this year.

Cheese 101 - I bet you miss this time of year in Bartlesville! It's been over 100 degrees everyday this week. The weather guy on tv this morning actually said there is a cold front coming through Sunday. The high temp is expected to be 94. Break out the winter Parka!!!
