A McKenna--Looks like fun at ZplaysZ!!! Whadda ya mean things got fecked up after you got up on stage??

Please repeat after me..."It's ok to show up at a concert and stay sober!" What's wrong with ONE beer?

I loved the movie ONCE.....Ireland is beautiful and the music scene is so lively and integral. Al, the country is calling to me and tugging at my heart! And you are......subtly twisting my arm!

Michelle--Thanks for a peek at the railroad museum in PA. Railroads in the east, midwest and Canada are more happening than CA except The Skunk Train on the north coast and Niles Canyon Railway outside of Fremont (sf bay area).

Austin--I don't know if I can come up with the money for CF at the Greek in Berkeley. Praying for a way to buy tickets. I know you said they are all GA.....still......life's uncertainties are troubling me right now.

GoldenGirl 2 ."It's ok to show up at a concert and stay sober!" I agree 100%, my 1st concert was Motley Crue during Theatre of Pain got wasted before the show, I don't remember much, ever since I stay sober, and just get high on the music. I'm able to recall little things from show this way.

An example of being able to remember stuff from concerts. during Super Colossal tour, saw Joe and Eric J. anyway during one of my fav songs (Made Of Tears) there was this redheaded girl, and like the song she started out with a slow sway left to right, as Joe progressed throught the song so did the tempo and so did she. As the song reaches its peaks she is no longer swaying but hopping left and right on her heals, it was a riot to watch her enjoy and appreciate the song in the best way she could. Imagine trying to stomp a fire on each foot.

Got the drum kit pretty much reassembled with some missing components (cymbals mainly and a Gibraltar rack) the racks are cool. I never had one while I was in the band 24-25 years ago. Anyway just been brushing up a bit. It all comes back to you. I had forgotten what a good workout it is.

Skippy hope you are feeling better. Sounds like you are doing your guitar homework.

I just can't help but think the Foot will schedule a show in St. Louis. Although Sammy did get in a bit of trouble with the St. Louis crowd when he said "It's Miller Time" which is a no-no in St. Louis Missouri, home of Anheuser Busch breweries, one of the largest employers in town. (Miller being the competition.) Budweiser beer is King there for sure. Joe seems to think this band will tour for a couple of years.

Hope you all are enjoying the weekend.

Joe have fun in Europe.

burly - thanks, I am feeling better, don't you hate it when you feel crook over the weekend? One bonus though, at least I was able to listen to CF on Rockline the other day instead of being at work, and got to chat with some T2Jers in the chat room.

Joe - hope you had a great time at the Nova Festival gig!

And if anybody has any pics or vids or can post a report that would be great.

Al - you're next buddy, counting on you for a (sober) report and some pics please :0)

Tony Spinner on the road with Steve Lukather and Toto. I think he had begun to channel Hendrix toward the end of the vid. He is in the U.S. right now until August. Think I'll try to catch him before he heads back to Europe. Wailing away

Oh lawd, you peeps should know that feckin Mc ain't gonna see a show sober. lmao! It'll be a good show if he remembers more than 5 songs, and it'll be a better show if he makes it up on stage with them. lmao! I'm KIDDING al, stay OFF the stage!

Ya gotta seize the moments when ya can! He has a few good years left in him. Let 'em rip! As long as he don't get corked in Cork, it's all good.

michelle - I only have the older Davy Knowles CD, not this new one, but I like it a lot. He sounds like a completely different musician, in a good way. His accent isn't as strong on the CD as it was in person, which kinda stinks but is still OK.

I don't know why, but I wasn't expecting his bassist and drummer to be as good as they are. So that's a pleasant surprise as well. I need to get their new album, definitely.

And I don't think Al had anything to drink the last night of the PSATMOR tour in San Francisco. I do remember him looking for free alcohol when we were at the aftershow, but we weren't the first people in there so all that was left were a few Cokes.

Do the Stu--I'll check out a nylon string guitar on Monday or Tuesday. Great idea. Thanks for giving me an idea of what a bass guitar is like.

My practicing is frustrating because I want to play ZZ's Song perfect and I keep screwing up. I love the progression and have a special love for the song because it's on my favorite Satch album. The first album I bought back at the turn of the century when I was working temp jobs and was going through a rough patch in life.....Crystal Planet and Engines of Creation were my constant companions......"Train of Angels" has a great progression similar to a Steve Morse song "Marching Orders"......similar vibe. Split Decision is a great instrumental album. Unusual thing is my favorite Satch song is "Always with me, Always with you" I guess because I love the rhythm.....the shakers and what sounds like a slow hand clap. I love it!

Alan--Expect a hug from me when we meet! You have to be irresistable!! ;-)

Hi to all. I've made the switch to digital TV now (no cable, just over-the-air signal), and was watching Australian football earlier today!! Aussie forumers, can you confirm if a team won by 90+ points in saturday night's games?? 'Cause I'm curious to know if it was a prerecorded broadcast from years past or something more recent. Can't remember the names of either team, but the score was somewhere around 137 to 44 :)

elpp - I think that was a replay of a past match. Saturday night (here) the Sydney Swans played Collingwood in Sydney and it was a close match.

What colour guernseys were the teams wearing in the show you saw? It may help work out which teams you saw. Keep watching AFL if you can, it's a great game.

Al, when are you heading down to Cork? And will you be sober or pi55ed at the CF gig? If you can get up on stage with Joe and give him a kiss for me and and provide video evidence I will elevate you to hero status.....

Hybes- Yeah Tony released an album early this spring. available on the website Tony Spinner.com

Heres a link to order "Rollin' and Tumblin' by Tony Spinner He is back home playing some local clubs until mid-August then hes back to the Netherlands. They take PAYPAL which I prefer over a credit card. Anyone who likes guitar will love Tony. He also has an outstanding voice.

Skippy- I'd like to see the look on Sammy's face when Al kisses him. Yes Al be sure to video.

I went to a party tonight and my Paul Gilbert shirt got some cool reactions from people. No one knew or cared who he was, but they thought the rhino was cool. I guess that's something...yeah?

But then just as I started to get hopeful, though, people turned off THE BEATLES and put on some rap and R&B. Argh...

Bwill13 - Joe and the guys don't film a G3 show every tour...the only ones that were recorded have already been released.
