Cube : ok.. i'm still onto Peavey C50 head, & i'm gonna to keep it, especially for its clean tone, but start to dream about a Marshall head, & i'm seduced by the vintage modern idea. Thx for indication.

Some quotes about Marshall

My opinion about Peavey, EVH, & Satch, is that this business is just between Peavey, EVH, & Satch.

Don't really understand why people feel so concerned by a business that isn't their business.

To me, the most important point is that two amps are born, & the rest doesn't concern us.

To support a musician is a point. To go without any invitation into its personnal things an other.

& above all, the most ridiculous is to oppose Marshall & Peavey, especially onto a forum of a guy like Joe, who gets an amazing collection of different heads. Yeap. Ridiculous. Joe has never waited for us to play onto the amps he wants to play with.

Sorry to smash, but.. shit.

and so the story goes... Anyone, Joe, EVH, Zen, me who can afford a mistress guitar or amp, why not? Life is short.....

and I must add, our friend Jeff Beck now qualifies for seniors benefits... Cheaper trips on the tube Jeff!!!!!

Enjoy the show, all you T2Jers who will be in London tonight. Travel safe, have fun, and take lots of pictures and videos to share with the rest of us. I haven't seen a My Kinda Girl video in a while...I'm just sayin'! ;-)

cheese101 - So did you decide to do Berkeley after all, then? Or are you still on the fence?
elpp - Haha...I don't regret you getting me into DT at all, no. \m/

I went back to look through the archives...I guess I'm feeling nostalgic. In some of my earliest posts I talk about downloading LTE's Acid Rain from Napster, as an introduction to John Petrucci after a T2Jer's recommendation. I then bought the two LTE albums from CDNOW.

Going back a bit further...my first post was on 12/9/00; I introduced myself and asked Joe if he'd add Silent Night or Sleigh Ride from the Merry Axemas discs to the LISF setlist. That's also the only post on T2J without the "..."s surrounding my name, which I added to make it stand out because everything showed up as one giant paragraph back then.

The first person I directly talked to (and the first to respond to me) was.........michelle! (Awww...how sweet.) She said she liked the Merry Axemas discs so I told her about Gary Hoey.

Here's the link, if anyone feels like reading from the bottom up for a while. ;-)

Have a great time in Shepherd's Bush tonight guys and gals!!!!!!! Tweet if you can!

Do The Stu - thanks for all those links I really like your recommendations for bands to listen to, so many and so little time to hang around on the pooter but I'll try the Dredg ones.

And the link to the old page of posts is fascinating - elpp was there way back then haha, that's 9 years at least good on you for being so dedicated.

How's the California summer by the way, getting a good tan? Lots of beach?

So Peavey changed that page or made a new one. Can somebody throw a link so I can check it after work please?

The power of Joe fans :-)

Seems to me that some folks have been getting Peaveyed over something and nothing.

I see it a bit like the Coldplagiarism thing, if Joe doesn't like it he will do something about it.

DoTheStu...I am currently playing through a Fender Reissue '65 Twin Reverb. Peavey has been making great amps for years. And I'm sure that the JS / JSX combination sounds that way because Joe wants it to...lol. A very versatile amp otherwise,,

And thank God for "Freedom Of Speech" ! ! !

What's up all? I'm new to the site. Just wanted to drop a line and say hello, kind of throw myself into the works here. And I wanted to let everyone know about this kid I came accross on youtube last night. I figure bein fellow Satch fans you'll all probably appreciate this. I'm learnin some new satch material (well attempting lol) and I was checkin some songs out on youtube. But I came accross this kid band from portland named 'Still Pending'. They're great for 12-13 year old kids. But the guitarist does some Satch covers along with some Eric Johnson. The kid is phenominal for a 13 year old. He dropped my jaw. So if you haven't seen these kids yet, jump on youtube and give em' a look. Just awesome.

Cube : some opinions from other musicians are always welcome.. but, well, yeap, i'm gonna to save money in direction of Vintage Modern.

Currently fighting with my two new pedals.. the RT-20 is definitly adopted.. & now wondering where goin' with the SL-20 thing.. it opens lot of doors, but they are still closed for me.

would u have considered the jvm before joe used it?

its got nothing im interested in whatsoever, except its midi capability! but its all good but they are supposed to be decent amps so maybe worth a punt if ur looking for something super versatile
