Blue.... that was too f*n funny! My wife is a huge Sammy fan and even she had to laugh at that one!

Hey Jeanette! Me and the Mrs. signed up here recently. A little less drama on this board. Don't know if I've been here long enough to extend a welcome to the board or not, but I say welcome. Oh shoot didn't even think, can you guess who this is by the name?

Not sure if anyone knows or not but RubyG's postings are done with an automated program so ignoring or not won't have any effect.

Happy B-day to the Webmaster, might be late or early, on the east coast of u.s. so not sure. And I must say that you do a great job here. I've been on other boards and they're not so great! Great job!

hello joe

I'm sad that Michael Jackson left us. I console by listening to your music. It would indeed be if you could one day compose a piece in homage to Michael.

Hey Joe, just thought I'd say tell you that as a guitarist, your music has really influenced me, my favorite songs of yours are "Surfing with the alien", "Satch Boogie", "Crystal Planet" and "If I could fly"

I love how your guitar sounds with the effects on surfing with the alien, did you use chrous and delay effects?

I've also gotten into your students music, that of Steve Vai, and his song "For the love of God". I was surprised to hear that you taught him, you really are a legend. =)

As a guitarist who is learning some of your songs, I seem to have a problem with doing a bend with vibrato, I can do normal bends and vibrato's without bending just fine, I was wondering if you could give me any advice, on specific techniques etc.

I also have problems with doing fast, alternate picking from string to string, on solo's like Surfing with the Alien, any help please?

My guitar amp is a Line 6 Spider III 75 Watt, there is a Satch Boogie and your phaser pre-sets on it, just wondering; did you actually help make them with Line 6?

PS: Do you still give guitar lessons, and if so can you teach me? =P

Hope to see you live or in person at some point.

Cheers from England.

Happy Canada Day hosers!

Working an 11 hr. shift (at double-time and a half!) and it's far and away THE most insane day for bus drivers. Everything goes! Most of the city goes downtown to booze up and riot... then they take the bus (for free!) home after they've inebriated themselves beyond all recognition.

Party on Wayne!

Party on Garth!

Wish me luck... I'm gonna need it!
(Hopefully no roof-surfers (again) this year!)

smooches,

Chee, the tour dates in that article still have the band at the Borgata. No HOB listed. *sigh*

Welcome Sammy fans! Don't feed the sheep. Remember, we're all here but some of us are not all there. Enjoy the ride and always wear your seatbelt.

Al, you can walk the walk with Sebby (as E calls him). He's crossed the line of good taste now. lol! yeeeeeehaw!

I prefare a good Bitchslap, but even that is lame compared to the old stuff.

Here's what I want you singing AL - Club Michelle. You can dance around yer room like a mo and be happy & carefree like you were when you were 21.

New AIC Not bad :-)

Do the Stu - Grew up with seeing Sammy and the early work of his, Red, Heavy Metal, Can't Drive 55, etc. Really a big fan of his Montrose days as well. Just got word that my work may have me in KS during the show there on the 11th of Aug. Hope they stay together for a couple of albums. Haven't seen Joe in a couple of years - can't wait. Going to the show in Dallas - first time for the wife to see Joe live - she is stoked about going. She is now a member of the Chickenfoot fan club and this website as well. I honestly enjoy every track on the new album. Rock On!

Hey Scuba! sorry guess I missed that one. I missed a day and went through the new posts a little too quick.

Happy Canada Day to all those here from there!

It's kind of wierd to hear all those complaining about the weather where they are. We here in the NE US had one day of sun in the last month, yesterday, and its supposed to be sunny in the 80's this time of year. I told the mrs. that the country flip flopped and we should change our name to Seatle.lol

The Irish and the Scots Are From the Same Tribe Ireland used to be divided up into five parts, the five fifths. There was a northern fifth, Ulster, a western fifth, Connaught, a southern fifth, Munster, an eastern fifth, Leinster and a middle fifth, Mide. Click here to see a map of the five fifths.

The Ulster Cycle is a set of stories which are grounded in the five fifths. Indeed, they are primarily concerned with Cú Chulainn, the Ulster hero and his king, Conor Mac Nessa in their wars against the king and queen of Connaught, Ailill and Maeve. These figures play a prominent role in the what may be the greatest story of the Ulster Cycle, the Táin Bó Cúailnge, The Cattle Raid of Cooley.

Sometime after 300 AD, Ulster became steadily less important in status among the five farthings and the ruling family of Mide, the Uí Néill Sons of Niall started to take over large parts of Connaught and most of Ulster. A similar move was made in Muster by the ruling family of Munster, the Eoganachta family. Thus was Ireland divided almost entirely into two halves.

The people of Ulster were pushed to a small coastal strip bordering the Irish Sea. The kingdom changed it's name to Dál Riata. Yet eventually Dál Riata fell under the rule and influence of the Uí Néill. This family, not content with the boundry presented by the sea, launched colonies across the Irish Sea into then Pictish Britain. Thus was Scotland founded, for it was these Uí Néill that the Romans called Scotti, not the original Picts.

Indeed, it was this Irish Expansion which led to Christianity in Scotland in 563 AD. St. Columba, the patron saint of Scotland, was a member of a powerful family in Dál Riata and in order to keep his ties in Ireland he settled on an island that was close to both Scotland and Ireland, Iona. Of course, even more bizarre is the fact that St. Patrick, the man responsible for bringing Christianity to Ireland in the first place.................was from Wales!!!!!! bwahahaha

scubadaz - Yeah I've tried to talk to RubyG here a few times too, but it never did seem to work. He replied to my email though, so maybe things are OK now. We'll see.

RedJeanette - Hi...welcome to the site! I like how we've getting more Sammy fans here recently.

I'd go for Crystal Planet or The Extremist as your next Satriani album. After that, since you're a Sammy fan, I think you might like the sound of Is There Love In Space?...check those out and let us know what you think. There are sound clips available in the "music" section of this site, if you need help deciding.

I was at the SF Chickenfoot show as well. Where were you in the crowd?

ibanezguitars - Thanks for your U2 comments. That stage sounds really neat...I'd love to experience a show with that set up from the GA floor. That'd be insane...

I'd be OK with skipping the tour, but I looked at the setlist and The Unforgettable Fire and Ultra Violet were played...those are probably my favorite songs from each of those albums. So I might end up buying a ticket after all. And with my luck, they probably won't play those at my show. ;-)

I guess it all depends on whether I get a job before then...

Question though, the opening band is not a band anymore from what I've read. I'm assuming it's a solo thing for the vocalist. Is this correct?
