Just realised two lil demos of using SL-20.
First demo is SRV funky blues style.. SL-20 is used on bass, rythmical guitar & lead guitar. For the lead guitar, i found a pattern that can be similar to an auto wah.
Second demo is weird stuff.
If some are interested by slicer adrenalin things

Hey Austin; Yeah I'm a real newbie here! Well I grew up with everything from Motown, Zep, even Herb Alpert and the Tijuana Brass, through the 80's with all the classic "hair" bands, then the grunge movement to todays heavier groups. Right now I listen to TOOL,SYSTEM OF THE DOWN, PAPA ROACH, NICKELBACK, DISTURBED, which my wife says I am for listening to them lol, it seems the older I get the "heavier" I like my music. I know that's the reverse of how it supposed to be but...... I guess because I always loved the guitar I'm constantly drawn to heavier guitar sounds and styles. I definately can't stand most of what is on the radio these days, which is why my Chickenfoot cd plays non-stop, which is why I'm so excited about this band, you can play the whole cd start to finish. There are no throw away songs IMHO.
I can appreciate giving a little more emphasis on the bass and drums on this record, agreed they are an awesome rythm section, maybe the best in the business right now, just think they needed to tone it down just a smidgen. But that's why they say different strokes for different folks!
As for another producer hmmmmmmm, always loved the production on Candle Box's first one, still listen to that cd. His name is Kelly Grey, not exactly a big name but I think it has awesome balance.
As for all the recent "star" deaths, people may ask what's up with that, I say it's called LIFE.

Jaysus Michelle, Billy Mays and of course Vince the sham wow guy has his troubles. Humankind just cannot keep up the ferocious "pitch" energy those guys spout pretty much 24/7. In Billy's case though, maybe there is some black hair and beard dye poisoning involved as well....

My two cents worth on the MJ thing:
Never bought into the Jackson 5.
Always felt slightly uneasy about MJ's solo stuff (don't know why).
Tolerated his collaborations with Macca who I think is an awesome singer/musician/composer.
Never got any of his solo stuff and never will.
I feel he has had a difficult life (some of his own making) and it is unfortunate he has passed away so young but I won't be shedding any tears.
There are so many unsung heroes who have passed on and precious few give a flying fuck about them because they weren't famous. Anyone who wants to shed a few crocodile tears should (in my opininion for what it's worth) think of them and what they have unselfishly done for us.
