Thanks for asking, swine flu is gone, weird thing is wife and kids tests came up negative?!!!!??? Weird, they were locked in the house with me all week.

Apparently some people are running swine flu parties now. (remember chickenpox parties?)

Hope yer arm is ok Chad. Hey Joe, how bout you talk the foot into posting here once or twice, would be a blast.

Not sure what's taking apple so long to approve my T2J iPhone app. They did a test post a week ago and ive not heard anything from them since. Oh well, it'll come I guess.

...................

An Amish boy and his father were in a shopping mall. They were amazed by almost everything they saw, but especially by two shiny, silver walls that could move apart and then slide back together again.

The boy asked: "What is this, Father?"

The father (never having seen an elevator) responded:

"Son, I have never seen anything like this in my entire life. I know not what it is!"

While they were watching with amazement, a fat, old lady in a wheelchair moved up to the moving walls and pressed a button. The walls opened and the lady rolled between them into a small room. The walls closed and the boy and his father watched the small circular numbers above the walls light up sequentially. They continued to watch until it reached the last number and then the numbers began to light up in the reverse order. Finally, the walls opened up again and a gorgeous 24-year-old blonde stepped out.

The father quickly and quietly said to his son: "Go get thy Mother!"

Students get X-rated surprise in class DVD

Teacher seen having sex in video; district tells parents to destroy the disk

AP - ELK GROVE, Calif. - A Northern California elementary school teacher sent her students home for the summer with a video of class memories, only the DVD included six seconds of her having sex on a couch.

Officials at the Elk Grove Unified School District asked families of the teacher's 24 students to get rid of the DVD after the unintended clip was found spliced in a scene where children were sharing stories in class.

"Just destroy them," said spokeswoman Torrey Johnson.

Johnson said the teacher, whose name isn't being released, sent the DVD home with her students from Isabelle Jackson Elementary on the last day of class Friday. She learned of the mistake after a parent called her. She then called all the parents to ask them to destroy the DVD.

Hi all,

It's been a while since I came here. Some of you asked where they can hear my instrumental rock music. So here it is. And I really don't mean this as spam. The quality of the sound samples betrays the high sound quality of the actual CD. http://cdbaby.com/cd/manfetano

Take it easy, Mike

LMAO! Why are people obsessed with filming themselves having sex so they can watch themselves "perform" later? Same thing with nekked pics. It usually always ends up being pilfered and in the hands of someone else. I think it's pretty damn funny to be honest. If yer stupid enough to do it, well then.

Thanks everyone for the well wishes for my son. He's looking a bit better than he has been. He's moving around the house and sitting up more instead of being a blob of sweating shivering sleeping mess on the sofa. He was burning up, but said he was freezing cold since Sunday night. Right now his temp is 100.4. yay.

Roo, did yer whole family have the same symptoms? Our doc said that right now there's only one flu going around, and it's the H1N1 "swine flu". He said they worry more about the elderly and young, and those with compromised immune systems. Most healthy ppl get through it with no meds except fever reducers - which is all my son had to try to keep his fever down. Hope yer fam is all back to normal and healthy soon.

I predict anarchy. Swine flu reaching epidemic proportions the vast majority of the boys in blue will be laid up, which leaves all the rascals free to do as they like = Anarchy. QED.

Hi all! Long time, no posting...

Been trying to catch up in reading all the posts, but that's impossible. You guys post more than I can read. So, I had to take a 2 months leap until today.

Was planning to go to Madrid but with Chad's injury now that's no use.

Been watching lots of Satch lessons on youtube, it's great for my guitar playing :) It's also great that he's willing to share all that stuff. I've also found inumerous rare videos and footage of him performing live, but I bet you guys already know them.

Chickenfoot CD hasn't reached the stores yet here in Portugal (at least the one I usually go to) so I've only listened to the broadcasted mp3. It's ordered though.

Also, all this Chickenfoot thing brought up some nostalgia and made me look for Eddie stuff and I'm kinda re-discovering his genious. The fact is a few years ago I couldn't even figure out where to begin with. Now I kinda found my starting point and I finding Eddie's playing a great inspiration.

Another guy that recently blew my mind was Petrucci and his solo on "Best Of Times" track. Now that's what I'd like to play one day! DT played here in Lisbon a few weeks ago, it was awesome!

Hope all you guys and gals are ok.

I'll try not to spend a couple of years until I post here again :)

Cheers, VP

Yes Jeanette its me.

Michelle..... sorry to hear about your son, hope he gets healthy soon and everyone else in the family stays that way.

its not the U.S. thats messed up, its the rest of the planet using that awkward metric system stuff. I mean come on everything is measured and multiplied by units of ten, thats just weird. Just kidding of course. Here in America we just love doing things half assed backwards, its more interesting that way lol. I remember in 7th or 8th grade learning the metric system and everyone saying it will be the standard in a couple of years! Here we are 30 years later and what do we use? I gave up trying to figure out our so called "leaders".

I was bored this afternoon and started trying to figure out Led Zeppelin's Bron-Yr-Aur on acoustic guitar. I only have the first few bars down, but it's a fun song...

scubadaz - I didn't do anything special with the email... Some of his reply was hard to understand (broken English), but the parts I could make out were him saying sorry and that all he wanted was for Joe to make the overdrive pedal.

I was nice about it, but I don't think he's ever read a post here so I don't think he'll be back to talk about other things. I like having new people here, but...

Igneousiceman - Nice...what are your favorite songs on The Ultra Zone so far?

I love I'll Be Around (one of his best vocal songs ever, I think), Lucky Charms, and Fever Dreams.

roo - Swine flu parties, REALLY? Geeze...

It wasn't exactly a party, but I was visiting some relatives one summer several years ago and my brother and I think one or two of my cousins got chicken pox. My parents kind of intentionally left me exposed to them but I never caught it. I guess I'm immune...I wouldn't want to take my chances with swine flu though.

Zinc Master - Wow, some people are just stupid. Elk Grove is a town or two over from where I graduated high school...haha.
michelle - Yeah, I don't get it. I guess you could watch the tape later, but wouldn't it be more fun to just have sex again later instead?
ptrocker - Welcome back...nice to see you here again!
Blue_Moon - More facts for you:

In-N-Outs in the US: 233
In-N-Outs in California: 205
In-N-Outs within 10 miles of my apartment: 8
In-N-Outs in Long Beach: 3
In-N-Outs in the rest of the world: 0
Distance from Dublin, Ireland to the nearest In-N-Out (in the city of Washington, Utah): 4,833 miles (7,778 kilometers)

js1234js5678 - I reckon the first album was pretty much just thrown together, basically "let's see how it goes". As it has been a relative success I would think Joe will have a bit more to say on the next one regarding quality and innovation. The style is good but they won't get too far rehashing tired old ideas lyrically. I reckon Joe can have a bit more influence in that direction, he can write but just can't sing for shit.

I'm looking forward to see how Chickenfoot develops... when I was growing up I didn't speak english so I have learned to not pay attention to the lyrics, but I do think a sophisticated guitar vocabulary needs sophisticated lyrics around it...

I like Chickenfoot because it answers to that question of how would JOE sound on a "real" band setting, but as a consumer who is artistically inclined, I crave for artistic subtleties an average listener probably would not care for... This doesn't mean I'd like them to get political with the lyrics or anything, not at all... I'd like to see the messages being delivered in a less obvious (not necessarily poetic) way...

And that's why I don't write lyrics...
