I have been a long time Joe Fan and yesterday September 16, 2009 I was very upset on the news that Joe came to an out of court decision with coldplay. Sometimes money shouldn't be the answer to everything but maybe principle should be. Plagerism, mmm somthing were all taught in school not to do but now when someone famous does this it is now OK. Joe you should have let this go to court, not so on the money but on principle, a song you said that you worked so hard on now you just let someone else claim it. By saying they don't have to admit wrong doing is letting the claim this song. I have been around the music business and you will still remain in some eyes as "Joe who" and coldplay will be the band that had this great song. I am sadden by this announcement, I thought you would have fought for your rights as an artist. I hope the payday was worth it.
A sad fan,

buzzard: It is not right to judge Joe based on what little we all know. I have no doubt that what we've all heard in the media is only a fraction of the whole story. I'm sure Joe did what is best for his sanity, his family and his career. Everything I know of him tells me he is a man if integrity and honor. He may have been following advice from his lawyers. Perhaps from a legal standpoint, his case was an un-winnable one. I think all his TRUE fans are just relieved that it's over, and look forward to forgetting about it.

buzzardme, Joe is ALL about principle, respect and protecting his music. Since no details about the settlement have been released, it's kinda harsh to insinuate that Joe "sold out". We have no idea what he went through, or is currently going through, or what the terms of the settlement are. He's apparently satisfied, whatever those terms are. Joe is an extremely smart man and knows what he's doing, so we just gotta have faith in his decisions. I'm happy if he's happy.
Wow roo, I have no idea how I managed that?? But I'll look fer ya....ummm, btw, what exactly are u bringing, is either of your "couple of things" a baseball bat, and do u know any martial arts or other forms of self-defense? ;) Can an old lady and her young son take u down? We don't even know the details of the case.. Probably not our business. I am sure this whole mess has painful to him and his family.
The very fact that ColdPlay and Joe came to an agreement is an admission of sorts, on Coldplys part. Could have been in court for years and life is short . I would rather see him enjoy his life and make beautiful music for us. God bless ya, Joe!
minimoog and cheese- Yeah ......thats exactly right!

"I bloody hate U2 and that miniman bono" I think I'm going to remember that for the rest of my life. When a feisy Irishman speaks his mind, I listen or pay a high price later on in life!
Morphine and Heroin are the best analgesics and tranquilizers on this earth! Great way for me to isolate and guess I don't care and guess I just don't know like Lou Reed in the Velvet Underground song! It's my way to "get my buzz on!" Yeah, Sammy, some people like the buzz of tequila and others like the buzz of cafeine and I like the buzz of tranquilizers!!

Maybe somebody should say something to Mr. Milli?
Good tune
I remember one of the girls here, BigB or Skippy maybe, likes Pink. She's on VH1 Behind The Music or something like that tonight at 8:00 est, but I'm sure there will be many reruns.

Mornin' peeps!
So who went to the Houston show and who's going to the Corpus Christi show (in about 1 hr I guess)? Would appreciate reviews and pics, vids pls.
Cheesey - have you met roo before or are you going to try to spot him? If it's reserved seats does that mean you won't need to line up from brekkie time LOL? Don't forget your sunscreen this time - don't want any lobster faces on the Berkely videos :>).
roo - got the Last Battle DVD a few weeks ago, it's a ripper! Joe is fab - everything is so effortless and he brings it big time. Also the keyboard solo in that is gob-smacking, from the Fleur de Lys to the boogie/rag time and so on.
I just got 2 boots from 2006 as well, waiting for them to arrive.
Have a great flight and lovely family holiday /I\.

I was listening to track "Not Of This Earth" on my way and it took me back to the EOC tour and remembered the how Joe opened the show with it. You hear the initial strum of the guitar, and then Jeff C. starts in with the drum beat, and after about a measure of this Stu walks out and starts the bass portion while doing his Sway back and forth. Finally Joe walks out and the concert is on its way. I don't remember when Eric C. came out.

My two cents...
If the case was "dismissed" (which is what I read here) than no one got anything. If it was "settled"...than that is another matter.
