When is the Professor dvd coming out? I heard last September but no word lately...man I'm going to sorely miss Joe's solo work if he stops puting out instrumentals. I love his newer work this decade more than the last. Joe you are way ahead of your time!

Joe -
I'm up the road from your place. Went on a mountain-bike ride this morning in a neighboring state park (Annadel) which is under threat of closure (I'll keep my Sacramento comments to myself here). Anyway, a huge community effort is underway so I was chatting more than usual with fellow rider's before heading up the mountain. Turns out 4 other rider's had your music on their mp3 players as well as myself. Sweet! For me this morning it was SBM. "Mountain Song" kicked in during a tricky single track and was the perfect soundtrack for that section! Thanks as always for sharing your music with us! Looking forward to Friday's gig in Berkeley!!!!
cheese101 & roo -
Noticed you are going to the CF Berkeley show. Very cool (especially roo for the super long distance trip)! I e-mailed Austin back on 8/29 to the gmail account he has listed here, but haven't heard anything. Anywhere in particular you guys are meeting before the show? Would love to say hello to some fellow Satchaholics. We gotta show Sammy's "redheads" that Joe has fanatics of his own, lol.

Al Surfer....hi :)
I was just talking to Austin a few days ago and he happened to mention he saw your name on the attendance list for the Berkeley show, so I know he's gonna be looking out for you. We were lookin to see if any other "recognizable" t2j'ers were gonna be at the show. So far no plans for any kind of pre-show meeting, he's going with his dad and brother, I'm bringing my son, we're gonna all attack roo fer his bootlegs and so u might as well join in the mess, LOL! All of us are huge Satch fans so I'm sure we'll do a great job representin' our Joe!! We're in row 6, left side, near the center aisle...roo is row 11 same side...Austin is behind and to the right in the next section of seats I think....3 really tall guys traveling in a pack, u can't miss em, LOL!
Hope to see u there, always happy to meet another big Joe-fan :)

Tracie & Austin -
I really hope that we can hook up during the show!! I just replied to Austin's e-mail. I've got his cell # & I gave him mine. Texts might be good in the noisy venue. It's just myself & a friend going to this show so I can meet up at any time before, during, or after the show so sure hope it can happen.

Gotta go to work, so I'll make this short. The Serenity Prayer is a lot better than drugs, prescription or street! Also, music from Crystal Planet, ITLIS and SBM are ways to stay calm without tranquilizers. Ask my doctors why they prescribe so many meds. Something about the healthcare system in the USA is much less than healthy and it isn't healthy for the rest of the world either. We all need a healthcare summit in Amsterdam or The Hague.

Gilded Millie - Try getting a Spathiphyllum (aka peace lily). I can almost guarantee you will feel better just looking at it. It really lives up to it's name, very peaceful.

Peace Lily's aka spathiphyllum are also one of the most recommended plants to clean the air in homes . I have several , in fact, I was looking at one when I chose my name. Plants of all types can be very therapeutic to grow, and nurture . They are an excellent all natural mood enhancer.

Pee Silly - As a matter of fact, we got a present of a peace lily when we got married over 21 years ago. My wife's best mate was the matron of honour and one of her two sons was an usher, annyhoo the two boys were broke but they managed to find the money to buy us a peace lily. It meant a lot to us that they wanted to buy the present themselves and spent what few pennies they had on it. Unfortunately I went absolutely ape when I once returned from my ocean travels and my black fingered wife had managed to let it die.

thank you very much but where i am from england london (croydon surrey) there is no one that i can start a band with now this is because there is no one good enough to write/play songs with..people my age want to write songs like in the EMO and the punk rock genre now ive been growing up listening to theses The Who,Jimi Hendrix, joe satriani, steve vai, stevie ray vaughan now theses were the bands i were listening to for months on end most deff (steve vai- passion and warfare and joe satriani's flying in a blue dream theses are my most fav!! albums EVER! the people of my age group dont listen to this music!! they know who they are but cant name a song nor play a song lol
trying to make money off the way i play is very hard cause they are people in their 30's-40+ doing the same thing as me but one thing i am different they will only play what they know yet as i see my self i will never play the same scale or solo of mine the same and tbh i dont know how i could make money without joining a band my age whilst making a myspace i would rather prefer to be approached by someone who has the facilitlies to promote and record my music. (if i sound vain i dont mean too)

Years ago, on a grueling concert tour, the guys in our road crew came up with an ironic expression of that existential reality. Their slogan began with an upbeat, confident boast, “We have the technology!”, then descended to a whiny, abject lament, “But we don’t feel so good.” Sometimes in life you simply can’t afford not to “feel so good”—when it’s showtime.
