mikesb:The concert in Uzbekistan with Sogdiana was a wake up call in so many ways. The music there is obviously completely different to the West, but the passion with which a musician plays is paramount like flamenco fire, hence the applause on the vid. These people understand what is giving yourself in total
Cappy:Gav is doing very well Journeyman Gav is like....the Joe Satriani of traditional Scottish fiddle playing for me.....the man has a memory like an elephant, INCREDIBLE, 2 hours playing every tune in europe y can think with no repeat / no mistakes.....and thats after a few brews!!!!...mmmm think about how many notes in order with ornamental notes etc in just one tune & y get it......2-4000 notes plus per tune...oooph.To be honest it was Gav that got me into playing tunes....he is my grim reaper lmao

Gavin was in the states last year but he didn't know I was in NY and I missed him.
Back living in good old Atlanta now. Just checking in and reading up on the posts. GREAT to see these old Roy/Sogdiana videos again all in one place.
Lovely stuff

Sorry guys, I know several of you have continued to post good thoughts, wishes and prayers for my family, and I so do appreciate every single one of them. I've read them all, but my brain just isn't computing at the moment to remember who all to acknowledge, but please know every message was read and greatly appreciated.
We were hoping my dad could buy some extra time in terms of getting over his pneumonia as much as possible before surgery. Dr. came in this evening to examine him and found that his inner workings have stopped working...again. This will force him to surgery sooner than we wanted, likely tomorrow afternoon. We wanted to give his lungs as many days as possible to get healthier, but it just may not happen that way. He hasn't had any food since last Saturday and is becoming weaker and weaker. On the positive side, his kidneys are once again functioning, and his lungs did sound better today than yesterday. But there are many risks to this surgery, lots of things stacked against him.
My friend is driving over and bringing Chris home for me tomorrow so I don't have to leave the hospital. He needs and wants to be here with his grampa before surgery.
John Dow Selby, 87 years old....if you can continue to keep him in your prayers, we'd appreciate it very much. He's so tired.

Scooby Doo - I know it's a well worn joke, but they actually did think that. Actually they weren't far wrong but my Mrs is the only woman i've been truly faithful to, sometimes you just know what's right and things take care of themselves.

Monterrey Trace - Please don't even try to think of who to thank, your family is what's important and we understand where your focus needs to be. Prayers and good vibes are sent because folk care, not so you'll name them with thanks. Peace and good luck.

Hi Joe ! I have listened and practiced your music for 13 years, scuse me for my english, I am french. I love your music a lot but I have some critics on your benefits live now. I don't understand that : where your emotion are now ? When I listen songs from Time machine CD 2 (live) like echo, intro of circles, the crush of love... you add some fill on guitar than the original version, which are very good based on original scale, and in your music were very alive. Scuse me for my critics, but now, you play just emotion with blues scales (but you may like it), before it was a lot of emotion with break and improvisation with other scale which are lost with years. I hope you understand me and I just want the reason and why don't you play like 80-90 years ?
