Lots of interesting posts in the last 24 hrs.
When big brother decides its time for the chips, I am going to say t hell with it and do some weeding of my own.
Seriously though..paperwork and regulation is getting thicker all the time. Its pushing the small business owner to the edge as if the present economy wasn't enough to do most in.
Skippygirl- nice to hear that Australia is fairing well in these times. No recession in Australia.....that is encouraging.
Be careful on those rides.... though.
Cheese -So glad to hear your dad is well enough to go home home to your mom. It will do his spirits good to sleep in his own bed and have good meals.
Glitzman- Good luck with your marathons and just to clarify on the Chickenfoot superbowl thing . It would be cool but I don't think that is being planned at this time. I don't want to start any rumors. LOL

Cheese101: Tracie, that is wonderful news. OH YEAH! I'm glad your Dad will be coming home. I wish your whole family the best tomorrow on your Dad's trip back home. A very important homecoming indeed.
Skippygirl: Thank you for the praise. Of all my runs, I think this marathon will be the one that I would feel nervous the most. This marathon is actually USATF (Track & Field) Certified. That means this run can also help runners be able to qualify for races such as the Boston, & New York Marathons. In order for me to do Boston, I'll have to get a time of 3 hours and 10 minutes or less to qualify. New York will be tougher because I have to run under 3 hours, which is a huge challenge. Quaifying for Boston would be awesome, but right now, I just want to experience this run and have fun. Steve Vai ran a marathon (26.2 miles)? When was that? Just curious.
Peace Lily: I'm well aware what you are saying; but it would be cool if Chickenfoot performed at the Super Bowl, maybe even the Olympics or at any event.

Glitzy - Boston is yours already, I just know it.
Peace Lily - ta, will try to stay upright on the bike lol
Yes maybe, like Jimmy Page coming out of the London bus at the Olympic closing ceremony, Joe could shoot out of a spaceship at the Super footy thing and rip into a tune with the Foot LMAO!
For Chickenfoot in Australia say "aye"!

I hate to say it, but I did not know who Norton Buffalo was. So I set out to night to educate myself. I came across this clip of Norton Buffalo and Roy Rogers It seemed especially poignant to me in light of his passing.
EDIT -watched and listened to more clips of Norton......Wow! I didn't even know some one could play harmonica like that . He really was a rare talent.

Gotta have Joe- Hope you feel better soon , take care with your meds its real easy to forget when you took your last dose.
One time I after surgery I took pain killers too soon after my last dose. I kept hearing Led Zep music and the furniture was talking to the other furniture. It was a little scary (but interesting to say the least) :)

Ptrocker: I think he means congratulating a guy on marriage is like congratulating someone for nailing their testes to a passing train.
Or something like that...

Congratulations Joe......i love this.....
“Chickenfoot’s self-titled debut favors straight-ahead rockers like the single “Oh Yeah” or the blues-fed “Sexy Little Thing,” and “Soap on a Rope” sounds like a Led Zeppelin outtake sent back from the year 2019.” -- Billboard

I picked up the "white album" of Chickenfoot's last night. So glad I didn't pre-order it online. I dunno what the hold up is there, but that's pretty retarded that you guys have to wait. It's only $10.00 U.S. for the cd AND dvd together, so as messed up as it is to re-release the (almost) same cd twice, you get an extra song and a dvd. I have no idea how long the dvd is, or what's on it, because it just says "tons" of behind the scenes, studio & concert footage. I'll let ya know it a bit, because as soon as I finish here, I'm going to watch the dvd :-) BBL
edit - 2nd song in on the dvd - GO BUY IT! IT'S A MUST HAVE!

Skippygirl- Thanx for sharing the good news about the Classic Rock Awards. I still chuckle when I think about what you said about Joe shooting out of a spaceship and launching into a song.Lol!
Axeshredder-thanks for sharing what was said by Billboard. Chickenfoot rawks!
Michelle - I am thinking about making the 60mi. round trip to the nearest town that has a Best Buy just to buy that "white album" in person.....
Which would mean I would eventually have two copies when the other finally gets here. I don't think I can wait....sigh.......
