Ibanezplyr--RE:"I was just at Highland hospital and noticed a marked rise in patients. The after math of a concert had quite a few victims of a mosh pit incident. One young man had a broken ankle from someone slamming a garbage can down on his foot! He faired better than "Diver Dan" a "Real" person who tried to audience surf....the crown parted like the red sea. He broke his neck. You can hear about it from the band "Travis Shredd and the Good Ole' Homeboys." Be safe out there guys! "

Isn't this another example of our youth taking dangerous risks??? I guess all us middle-aged ppls can do is pray and joy and suffer along with 'em. It grieves me. On the other hand, in Monterey I saw some young guys talking about the new Harry Potter movie--one guy asked the other why he would go see that movie. The other guy said, "Because Harry Potter's bad ass!" I guess that's a good enough reason......although my Steve and I went to see it because we love the mystery and adventure and we saw all the other Harry Potter movies and enjoyed 'em. Also I work at a library where the books get checked out constantly.

DotheStu--We had a nice dinner on our Anniversary AND took a little trip as follows..........

Had fun in Monterey/Pacific Grove/Carmel and at the Wild Thyme Deli in Marina with friend from Santa Cruz! I loved watching the surfers and kids antics on the beach--cartwheels and chasing each other and their dogs.....Didn't get to go to the Aquarium this time.....maybe next time.....when we get away for a few days to celebrate our marriage, life is good!! Are nuptuals an erotic thing?? Maybe.....ask Alice Cooper!!! Bwahahahaha!!! Nights with Alice Cooper.....radio show at a radio station near you in the USA! AND at the Hippo 104.3 Salinas/Monterey!! 7-Midnight!

Scubadaz--Am I in trouble on here again??? I hope not.

Pip - phew, buddy, Chiko Rolls!

Sure you don't just like the ad ;>)?

(For our American friends, girl with not much on languishing on a motorbike with said Chiko Roll poised suggestively in her mouth).

As uniquely Australian as they are the actual contents were always dubious, however I will admit they are great hangover food.

Hawk Guy- Dokken Under Lock and Key was my first compact disc purchase. I was very much into Dokken from the release of the first album through Beast from the East. Lynch's style and tone was very appealing to me .

Skippy- what does poised suggestively mean? I have not seen the ad. I'm kidding..you don't have to answer that. Just havin' fun mate.

Michelle- She scares me too but I'll have to join the ranks of a lot of guys my age with the view that she is kind of hot,..... that is until she speaks and that voice is a turnoff for me. Attractive though.

This might give us something to talk about during the break in the tour... Something that came to mind while reading axeshredderjc's post: What tour featured your favorite Satch setlist?

Stick to shows you've seen, if you can...but if you know the setlist of something older I guess you can use it.

I'll go with the ITLIS? set...highlights included Up In The Sky, Lords Of Karma, Sleep Walk, Moroccan Sunset, Strange, and Psycho Monkey.

That whole tour was a good one...earlier (non-west coast) legs got The Traveler and If I Could Fly (my favorite songs from each of those albums), and at the pnemonia shows in San Francisco in late 2004 we got Motorcycle Driver.

Keniko - Thanks for the link...cool to hear you on the air! Funny to hear you talking about the Freebird solo...
axeshredderjc - I don't remember how I worded things in my original post, but I only missed the "An Evening With..." leg of the SBM tour. I've seen several other two-set shows over the years.

The SBM shows came at a time when I was away at college but didn't yet have a car...so it was hard to get anywhere. It hurts a bit because my all-time favorite Satch song (Why) was in the set. I was also bummed about missing New Last Jam, but now that I've seen Satch play the doubleneck on Bitten By The Wolf with Chickenfoot it's a little better.

ibanezguitars - Glad to hear you enjoyed the Jeff Beck gig. I was very impressed by Tal on bass...I bought her solo CD at the merch booth after the show (not something I usually do).

Hi, IŽm Hector Valtierra, Only I want to congratulate you on your disc with chickenfoot, as that already I have it and sounds very well, excellent riffs, but i wish to know the reason for which it eliminates the G3 provided that I know you by means of this tour, and simply I am charmed with me, and it seems to me to be strange that this project was finishing. But in end not because of it I will stop listening to your music. And sorry for the writing but I use a translator provided that I am Mexican. Bye

Earthquake!

It was a few miles west of me, and pretty small (2.7, says the USGS).

This one was different from the usual quakes (if there is such a thing)...it only seemed to last for a second or two, but the shaking was more intense.

I think we're due for a big one...

Do The Stu

I was supposed to keep an eye on Jeff, and the other on Vinnie.
Short after the show began, what a problem I had when I realized that I didn't have enough eyes to see the wonders a young girl was playing with her bass.
I was tempted to buy her CD, buy my budget could only afford the T-shirt of the tour.

Lets see if I can get it right this time....

* ! Happy Birthday Galen ! *

Fatape - I haven't seen the ad, but it sounds like there's at least two people who eat them then.

Scuba - my problem is with the WTWTA sound. Video plays fine but the sound drops out after about 30 seconds. Will give it another whirl later. My non guitar related GAS... ha ha. You might be right!

Satriella - you scared me. You shouldn't jump out on people like that

Michelle - Steve Vai in a gimp(ish) mask? Ok, I think I've seen everything now. Twas me (on the headache). Bummer

Slansh - any news on the Mac?

Skippygirl - I've not seen the ad for it, but sounds like I'll have to youtube it to see what the fuss is. I like them because they remind me of bubble & squeak - in a roll : )

Yes there is (sevilla).... you have email

Do The Stu - I hope you're not due a big quake. I take it you've experienced a few and as such you're all used to them?

Set list wise I really enjoyed PSATMOR UK style which included out of the sunrise, crying and musterion plus time machine, one big rush, revelation etc (as you know).

Also, given how new the songs were at the time, the Extremist tour which had War, I believe (acoustic), new blues, one big rush, circles, tears in the rain (acoustic), crush of love... but possibly NOT why. Was a long time ago so maybe someone can correct me on that

Right, off to look for a particular food advert ha ha
