I got my Guitar Center July booklet the other, I forgot to mention, it has CF on the cover and there's an interview inside... they used to give you a 10% off coupon during the holidays, now they do it every month...

HOLY CRAP!!! The Mexican soccer team head coach just kicked a rival player!! IN THE MIDDLE OF A PLAY!!!! JAJAJAJA, this is the ultimate insult to whatever dignity was left for Mexican soccer. Unreal!! This will definitely make all the sportscasts in the world, so be on the lookout for it

PTRocker: Cool cover, wish we had bands over here in Juarez that dared to try these songs out.
Don1963: Candlebox released a new CD last year, called Into The Sun. Haven't bought it yet (only found a Walmart edited version, I'm never buying Walmart edits), but most of the songs they played live from that album were very good.
Burly: I absolutely LOVE San Antonio. And Austin. Been there 5 times already (twice to see G3), and hopefully there are many more to come. Next time you're there I recommend you drive over to Lake Travis in Austin and eat at the Oasis. The food is average but the views of the lake are very nice
The company I work for has a major operations center in Austin, I have vehemently expressed to my boss my desire to one day be transferred to that facility. Someday...

Ibanezplyr - Thanks for that Gilbert link... Paul is SO the man. Some of the funniest clips on uToob that I've ever seen are the Paul Gilbert and Marty Friedman on the Japanese TV show things, they battle it out and both of them actually speak Japanese!!!
There are a bunch of them but this one is my all time favorite. Rolly kicks ass. You gotta hand it to the guy, even trying to take on those two. Hat's off.
Enjoy!
smooches,

The Southern California freeform rock radio station KMET is back for a day...100.3 The Sound is broadcasting a KMET tribute show from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. today. Check it out...
The Sound's website is here, and their KMET-for-a-day page is here. You should be able to listen live via one of the two links.
A few of the DJs from KMET's prime now work for KLOS and won't be included in the tribute, but a lot of other original people are involved so it should be pretty cool...
elpp - That's crazy...I found a clip of the kick online, but the audio was in Spanish so I can't tell what provoked it...?
...Austin...

Skippy- No Foot tics..:-(
I opted to take her on a romantic trip although I really wanted the Tahoe trip but she would have been thinking that the main reason for that trip was for the Foot...so now I scored some really big points at home but I will have to hold out until later to go

Some of you may know there is an Ashes Cricket series going on between the Mighty Mighty England and a bunch of drongoes descended from deported convicts.
For those of you who do not understand the game please find the following explanation.
You have two sides, one out in the field and one in. Each man that's in the side that's in goes out, and when he's out he comes in and the next man goes in until he's out. When they are all out, the side that's out comes in and the side that's been in goes out and tries to get those coming in, out. Sometimes you get men still in and not out.
When a man goes out to go in, the men who are out try to get him out, and when he is out he goes in and the next man in goes out and goes in. There are two men called umpires who stay out all the time and they decide when the men who are in are out. When both sides have been in and all the men have been out, and both sides have been out twice after all the men have been in, including those who are not out, that is the end of the game.
Simple!

DotheStu--It's good to know KLOS has survived all these years. I hope they have gotten better with time.
On Every Street or Where the Streets have no Name? Yeah, I like Dire Straits with Guitarman Mark.......However, in the land of Eire, U2 lives and plays music..........as does Def Leppard and so many others. One thing I have learned and will never forget--U2 and Blue_Moon don't mix. I'm afraid if anyone tries to mix them, Blue_Moon may go the way of Stephen Maynard Clark, a late guitarist of Def Leppard!!! It grieves me to think about this! ;-/
