Ok friends.

Sete has gotten Jeff Beck at his best. The maźstro has given to us all his love of guitar & music.

Sete has been very lucky.

I spent the concert very close of the stage, the team, the maźstro & his amps.

A review.. give me few time, please.

Okay peoples, big news, LISTEN UP!!!

Because my son (and I got to tag along, lol) got to do a private lesson with Joe through the Grammy charity auctions last year, I have remained on the mailing list for upcoming events.....and they asked for feedback on what I'd like to see if possible, so of course I wrote and raved about our experience with Joe, and also about Chickenfoot....

I just heard back from them...now...hold onto yer BRITCHES!!!

Joe has agreed to do another private lesson for their auction coming up in JULY, OOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHH YEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!! This launches on July 21st, so those of you interested, keep yer eyes PEELED on ebay for Grammy auctions!!

When I bid before, you first had to call them and set up a maximum bid limit, they had to approve u and then away you go with the bidding. I think we got an incredible price, don't know if it will go fer what I paid or not, likely to go higher, but for anyone who can afford it.....

OMG IT'S SOOOOO WORTH IT!!!

They also said they are already working with Chickenfoot to put together an auction for a VIP experience with them, details to come later, so I'll let you all know when I know....

HAPPY BIDDING TO ANY WHO TRY!!! Wish we could do it all over again, but...hey...someone else needs to be blessed as we were :)

Chad and Joe are crazy, in three parts:

http://www.faceculture.com/artist.php?id=742

If you dig around that site, you'll also find a nice interview with Mike Portnoy of Dream Theater.

And "Toofonky" from the Chickenfoot site posted some photos on his Flickr page that I thought were pretty cool. There are some of Jeff Beck there as well.

satrinicious - Sorry to hear you didn't know about the cancellation until too late. The band will be back, hopefully sooner rather than later...trust me when I say they'll be worth the wait.
burly - I'd love to hear Chickenfoot with two distinct guitar parts (like in Walk This Way by Aerosmith)...that's probably at the top of my wish list.
BigBunny - Hey, you! :-)
cheese101 - Yeah, isn't the world just wonderful? It bugs me, but I think the parents actualy have a case because there weren't cones next to the open sewer. But I think even if they had been there, she wouldn't've seen them and would've still fallen in.

Was the Joe lesson you won for Chris a public auction? If so, can I ask what your winning bid was? I'm just curious (and of course if it was silent then it's none of my businesss).

I went to the benefit gig Joe and Steve Vai did for Cliff Cultreri in 2006, and they gave away a lot of autographed guitars. I was surprised at just how much some of the autographed generic guitars went for (more than signature models autographed by Joe or Steve, each also with a private lesson).

Pip Satrini - You've been a bit quiet lately...everything OK? How's life treating you?

Joe- Happy birthday for tomorrow!! My grandson turned 3 yesterday. His favorites on the foot album are OH Yeah, Bitten by the Wolf and he loves the opening to Down the Drain when Sammy is talking to you. He says "That's Joe" The boy has been bitten by the musical bug.

Trying to talk the wife into an Atlanta trip next month to see the show with the backstage experience. I think it's working. All I have to do is promise to get her there early enough to hit a big mall.

Time to play catch up... it's been an odd week or two....

Have you all seen this one (I'll probably bump into this as I go through the posts in a mo....)?

Chadster sings

All this injury stuff reminds me of when Jeff Cappucino hurt his leg during the 06 tour... playing football with the kids. Is that right, or is my memory shot - again!?

Burly & Michelle - thanks for all the Danica Patrick adverts. Those mobile phone ones are bad... as in bad, not good bad. I hope she realises that. Funny

Cheese - it doesn't look like my second Chickenfix is going to happen, bar some minor miracle. Fooey!! Otherwise, I'd gladly hold the line with you all. Take some nice piccies and say Hi to the guys for me if you see them please? That's probably as close as I'm going to get

Do The Stu - I was looking at a world map in the week... and whilst thinking about the next global T2J gig, I noticed how central a venue the UK (& Ireland) is... so I guess everyone should come here : )

The nobody in the group shot is nestled perfectly on top of those guys. Wierd! Have you uploaded Cop Chic yet?

Skippygirl - how ya doin? Yes, I have some shiny pantenne sidies goin on - are they showing up in the Chickenfoot pics somehow?

Melbourne to Tahoe 24hrs? My flight from LA to Sydney was only 14... you must be going the wrong way round : )

Thanks for the link to my beer clip - I lurves you for that

Burly - it seems like my fat g strings comment pales in significance when there's a big male???? cameltoe goin on. Yikes....

Michelle - male camel toe........ NOOOOOOOOOOoooooooooooooooooo! Thanks for describing that in painful detail. LMAO. I'm gonna have to go look at the picture of the texting cat to cleanse myself

Igneousiceman - have you recovered from the shock of what the saddle is doing to your manliness? Enjoying the tour? So is it cornwall or devon you ended up in? Either way, you passed me probably, and the pint I was holding for ya

Axeshredder - thanks for all the cool links. LMAO at Big Bad Wah phone

Scubadaz - cool news about the work. That's great. Any more news on if it's looking like a long term thing? Thanks for the kind comment about my video

Don1963 - your new DVD sounds awesome. How do we all get a copy? ; )

Roo - congrats on the T2J iphone app. Dropped you a quick mail. I know it's slightly tarded, but the principle is genuine

Do The Stu - thanks for asking. Just overly tired and way too busy mainly. Nothing really up, for which I am very grateful

AWESOME find on those faceculture videos. I must find a way of downloading those

"What's your favourite van halen period?"

Chad - "When David Lee Roth had a very heavy menstrual cycle"

More Chad... "That's a very original question.... rather like your moustache"

LMAO and that's only the first few minutes of the first video. Thanks for sharing

well true, the amount this will likely go for is way beyond what someone would pay for a hometown lesson....so it's certainly understandable that most people can't or won't be able to afford it. Just FYI for those that might be interested.

As an example, when we saw Joe at Guitar Center last April when PSATMOR came out, we let him know I had won the auction and Chris would be doing the lesson. He thought it was great but was surprised at how low I got it for. He shared with us that he'd also recently given two other lessons at auction for a local Bay Area school....and that EACH lesson in those two auctions went for $20,000....did I say EACH!!!!

So to answer your question Austin, it was public knowledge at the time since it was an ebay auction....I paid $2625 for ours. Yes....a lot of money absolutely and I've still got a "For Sale" sign on Chrispie to help pay for it, LOL!!! But....it was truly priceless and something Chris secretly longed for, the opportunity to sit down with Joe and him on guitar...but never, EVER thought he'd get to do such a thing. As the auction came to a close, and with me having put in my max bid of $3000, I sat there refreshing my ebay page, convinced I was about to watch it fly upwards in price way beyond my bid.....but it never did :)))))

AND....it was a tax write-off, just so's u all know...charitable contribution :)

So if anyone is at all interested....it goes to a good charity, one Joe obviously supports...and is truly priceless. But only if you have the monies for it, to be sure!

Scuba - that's cool, especially as it's Tesco as normally when you're in, you're in. Will you be able to fight the GAS though?

edited to say I remember that auction and I know Cheesey had to make a huge effort to get that for Chrispie. I thought it was SO cool when she told me. It was fantastic that someone from the board got it

Nice one Cheese - how much is rental of a Chrispie and does he do menial tasks? lol

Austin great video, I have a question for you guys: Do you think Joe is going to hire Chad Smith to be a part of his live band or maybe record an album with his drumming skills?. that would be great, although I think Jeff Campi. is an excellent drummer...
