Isn't it funny how my kids think that the only bank that was completely unaffected by the credit crunch is the bank of Dad!

Millie, as long as I know the illness is temporary - it's just a blip on the screen. It's the long term ones that suck hard. Best to you and yers.

Cappy, my daughter wanted me to pull a minivan out of my ass so we can move her stuff back up to college NOW instead of waiting for my friend who owns said minivan to get back from vacation so we can borrow it. Money is hard enough to pull out of yer ass, but a minivan - that's gonna take a bit of work.

Speaking of long term health/medical conditions, my Steve had 2 recent blood tests and they were mishandled in the lab,.... they called it an accident ;-(. Now he has to go back yet again to Stanford for another blood draw.....yeah, it sucks!......I hope one day the doctors will level with us and just say there's nothing more that can be done. Then we go back to Steve's primary doctor who can treat some other probs he's having that were put on hold. Also, the neuropsychiatrist takes over and we get to talk with the best psychiatrist at Stanford and get his progressive course of treatment. He is one of the most compassionate people I have met.

RedJeanette--Welcome to T2J. In answer to your question about Joe's other albums, my first were Crystal Planet and Engines of Creation. My favorite album is Crystal Planet because to me it is the best of Joe Satriani--just my opinion. He has a lot of good ones including Is There Love In Space and One Big Rush......give 'em a good listen before you decide.

ibanezguitars - Thanks for that Bron Yr Aur link...that's just about all of the song I've worked through so far, so it's nice to know that I'm doing it correctly. I like how it's filmed...I haven't seen a lot of instructional videos, but this is the first one I've seen that's shown upside-down (from the player's point of view). More videos should be like that.

Here is a video of a kid playing the song...this is actually the one that made me want to learn it. I figure if he can do it, why can't I? ;-)

Cappy Steve - It sounds like a lot, but they only have the 1/8-pound patties...so in the end the burger isn't really different from a double quarter pounder at McDonald's. Although I guess that could be considered a lot as well. ;-)
Guitarvibes - I bet the Paris DVD has been in the can for a while, and it hasn't yet been released because it would compete with the new Chickenfoot album. I don't like having to wait either, but I guess it's nice to spread out Joe's releases (based on current touring plans, I'd say we're at least a year away from hearing any new Chickenfoot or solo Satch).

If the whole thing will look like the Revelation video that we first saw, I can see it taking a LONG time for the director to get it right. Or, since a lot of people here didn't like that style, maybe Joe decided to scrap it and start over? I think it's more likely to be already finished, though...

marimariSRV - It figures it'd take me mentioning In-N-Out to get you to post here again! ;-) Thanks for the extra Chickenfoot comments...

Any plans to see (or have you already seen) Aerosmith on their current tour?

Hmmm...I'm feeling lazy today. I think I'll go watch Who Framed Roger Rabbit on DVD...

...Austin...

Just had a family listening party to my son's bands first cd! My husband & the kids recorded it in the basement, and my hubs mixed it, and now has to wait for the cover art to be done to send the whole shebang to Cali. to make copies.

We're all excited.

My son must be feeling better. He's been smiling all day, and his eyes are shining again. He was even laughing and playing xbox for a while too. Thanks everyone for your well wishes for him. As always, yer caring means so much.

Looking for something new and very different? I can just about guarantee that this is one of the best bands you've never heard in your life. I was preparing to write a big thing on how much I love their music and why but I decided to just let it speak for itself.

Madame Blavatsky Overdrive

The price is right and I think you'll agree that the craftsmanship and their level of dedication is just about unequaled. I highly recommend giving Idiot Jones Will Have His Day a few listens. Please be sure to let me know what you think of it, ok?

MariMari: Steven Wilde is doing fine for now. He's hunkered down in Alameda still. We've been tring to find and clean up recordings you all have not heard from us. I'm hoping to buy a new Boss 1200cd recorder soon, maybe my B-day this year. You will all here more from us then. God bless from Steven and all from T2J. Glad you liked the pics. I'm not a pro like you but I get lucky sometimes......Glitzman: Yea, I did remember all the songs they played, some from Damn Yankees, and some new acoustic stuff from Brad Gillis to start the night.

Joe,

First off, I would like to say that I think you are an unbelievable musician and I wonered if you have your own unique formula for what modes or scales that you use, or maybe a different perspective on how you approach that topic. I have bought all (3) of your pedals from your collaboration with Vox. Excellent job. I'm really happy with my pruchases. Jim P. (aka the juice) I'm an electrician. lol.

Some thoughts I've been having regarding the show later this summer. As I listen to the new CD for the umpteenth time I have been wondering this.

1. Will I spend the entire concert just starring at Joe and grooving along with him? 2. After viewing the link skippygirl gave the answer I think is going to be YES. There are just to many SATCH NUGGETS in each song to look away and miss something.

At least you get to see him/them, would love to go to Tahoe but it's a 24 hr flight. We in Oz have to wait for a possible tour in 6 months so please, I beg you, when you go you must get pics and video for we suckers still waiting to see the Foot.
