satrinicious - Cool...I hope you have a great time at the U2 show. I'd love to see them this tour (at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena), but I don't know if I have the money...we'll see. The Edge's guitar playing isn't at Joe's level, definitely, but he still does some very cool stuff within U2 that no one else is doing. And he's the guitar player in one of the most famous bands in the world...so he's worth seeing just for that (being another name to cross off the "list", in a sense).
And yes, that is me on the PSATMOR DVD, briefly. What a fun show that was...!
Lastly, I'm not sure if I've asked you the music questions I usually throw to the new people here... Aside from Satch, what are some of your favorite bands? What are the top five or so concerts you've seen?
Don1963 - I missed the first part of the conversation...but what exactly is on the DVD you're talking about?

WhammyFreak - Buckethead does a version of A Pirate's Life For Me that should be pretty easy to find on YouTube.

I posted at Vai's message board to see if this left handed JEM and JS1200 deal was legit and it's official, Steve gave the ok for the JEM to be made lefty... so if JOE has anything to do with the JS1200 being offered in lefty, I'd like to publicly thank him!

I just saw that kids performance on TV...not to be mean but...he was really bad. Hes trying to play faster than his finger can play..lol They didnt mention Joe when they metioned his influences...and really i see no influence...i guess its just cool to have him listed?..lol

I thought that video was pretty cool, although the segment of the show was horribly edited. It was awesome to see him mention Satch, but I think it was cooler that he was giving Sharon Osbourne a bit of attitude...haha. \m/

I'm 13 years old guitarist from Georgia, I'm fond of your songs so I play them all the time, I've been playing the guitar since 2008 (1 year) I even go on guitar classes where my teacher gives me your songs at homework all the time and I'm very happy with that. Lasha - welcome mate, if you can play Joe's songs on guitar at 13 you are already a legend in my book :0) I can only play a few bars of Ten Words and "Killing Me Softly" haha

Pippy - wassup my lovely Pip-buddy? You pulling recently (*smug grin*)?, bet those Pantene sidies are a magnet. Can't believe Webber's reaction to the win he sounded like me at a Satch show.
Slans - you could be right about the comparison to Madonna but Madonna had the choreo-dance thing whereas Pink is circus-trained so to speak and it really is awesome to see the trapeze act etc, I did a circus training thing with work and loved the trapeze it was a buzz but FFS it was damn hard and I ached for days, plus I didn't have to sing! I do admire anybody with clear talent at something where you know few people in the world can do what they are doing e.g. Joe.
scuby - sounds like work is good, that's great, and you're a spring chicken at 35 haha.
Joe - hope you had a great birthday, maybe you got some more jocks and socks?

Happy birthday! I tried to greet you yesterday, but I couldn't register in time. I'm just a big fan of yours here in Argentina. Yesterday I had this crazy, funny idea: maybe your next Tour can be called "Show Satriani". By the way, I loved Chickenfoot. Keep on rocking!!!
