Hey Joe,

I have noticed that when you come through Ohio you only go to the northern part of the state. I happen to live at the southern part of the state and I end up having to pull the kids from school so we can make the trip to see your shows when they come to Ohio.

Any chance you are going schedule something in the Dayton/ Cincinnati area?

wow just noticed Extreme is getting back together. I really loved the early stuff these guys did and I think Nuno is one of the guitar greats. I always loved that little solo he did "Flight of the Bumble Bee" I think it was. Would love to see him and Joe do a little back and forth on guitar. How about it Joe? You and Nuno, man I'd be droolling for sure. I once watched EVH and George Lynch dueling back and forth backstage at the Monsters of Rock tour in the early 90's from about 3 feet away and it was totally awesome! Almost lost my job ( I was working dressing room security at the time, met Sammy for the first time because of it too, but thats another story).

Whatsa goin on peeps?

Scubadaz - having the regular stream of cash must be nice. Probably gonna make the GAS worse. Still..... "every little helps".... yeah, I know!

Shorty11 - I'm so sorry to hear that. Thoughts & good vibes to you, I hope you feel better over time

Cheese - it sucks monkey balls. But even if they do come back here, being over there improves the fun if that makes sense. I get to have a mini (hell it was mini mini last time) holiday. Next time...

I think, as I need to hold back on the pennies for possibilities, that you'd best let me know when he's irritating you so I can get paid. And yes you're a great mom - wot Cappy says!

Do The Stu - no shows were cancelled, Jeff manned up more than Chad LOL but he came on all strapped up and was the same after the show and I remember asking him about it but forgot the precise answer he gave

Skippygirl - Chickenmelb... could be! It'll also be down to timing again mainly. Did you take any Pink pics? You and I both know I'm not the one with the pulling ability ; )

Webbers reaction was so genuine and awesome, an you could hear him start to cry. I hope he takes the title!

Don1963 - wow, that's a cool offer, I was only messing. I'll drop you an email then, thanks. Extreme have been back together for a while now and have been touring with a new album. I missed the gig when they were here but hoping they stick at it again long enough for another tour. Mr Big are also back again. Fancy sharing with us your Sammy story?

Blue Moon - nice one. How about some money for nuthin or brothers in arms?

BobeySmith - I think Joe has just released the guitar for you (or is about to) - a 24 fret JS model. I'd go for that

Guitarvibes - interesting about Uniteds shipping of guitars. Where did the comment about Cavendish doping come from? I hadn't heard anything. You'll upset Iggy

Axeshredder - fixy link please?

Have a good weekend everyone

hi joe I'm from Iran.i just wanted to tell you that we love you...and i listened to some of your older songs and wanted to tell, you have a magical voice too...the way you say those words in"i believe" made me so calm in these black days. we iranian people were always fighting for our freedom...and in these days...these sad days...every little thing can be a heal to our wounds and sound of your guitar is a light in night's darkness. me and all of those who listen to your songs and admire your work in Iran want you to know we understand soul of your music too but we cant tell you!there is no way for us to tell...you cant come to our country and have a concert,no one can...me and all of my country's people are prisoners...like tears in the rain we are... those who like guitar and music and young ones like me just can hardly find your brilliant songs and listen to theme and in hearts admire your soul that makes these notes come to life. i hope you always be free... and wish, someday you make a song about freedom...and we watch your concert in Persepolis God bless you ash.

I'm really sorry to see that CF has had to cancel the show on August 5th in Pittsburg, PA....they are offering refunds on the tickets though.

I feel bad for those peeps who planned on going...cuz it isn't always just the price of a ticket which they CAN get back...it's airplane tickets, hotel rooms, rental cars, etc that may not be able to be cancelled or refunded. Sucks huge monkey balls for those folks.

I know this isn't done lightly at all by the organizers or the band....I hope there's no more changes needed. =|

I must be totally spoiled by Joe's organization...I guess this prolly happens more often than I realize in the rest of the rock n roll world.

Scubadaz - yeah, sorry - it was totally predictable. Thought I'd drop it in sooner so we can all get past it LOL. I still think it's cool, I hope it all goes to plan for you

Regarding the GAS/wah.... I had a Dunlop for yonks and then it started getting noisy so I gave it away to a friend (who fixed it). Since then I haven't replaced it. I'm going to have to drag myself to a shop for a trial of Bad Horsie, 535 and the BBW so let us know what you go with.

Cube - I think you've tried most kit out there. What wah do you roll with? Possibly not a mainstream one....

Ok, I've just seen the Farrah Fawcett story and I'm all welled up... sad... nothing more to add

Stay good peeps

Joe Sartiani cancels nothing! He even played a gig with pneumonia ffs!!

Chickenfoot, on the other hand.... not so much.

*sigh*

T, the one thing is...IF (Lord forbid) anything like that would happen for that particular east coast show we're attending, think of the amount of liquor me & the massive one could consume without a show to interrupt us. lmao! The money you would make on that video would sho' nuff pay for yer travel fare. LOL! Unless you have to use it for bail money...

LOL!

Let's dance :-)

Joe, There was a nine year old guitar prodigy on America's Got Talent and when they asked him who his influences were the first name out of his mouth was Joe Satriani followed by Stevie Ray Vaughn and others. This kid was amazing. You have to see him. I am sure that it would make his day if there was any way you could contact him. Again, YOU HAVE TO SEE THIS KID!!!

scubadaz :- I've played the wabbit slayers BBW and I can tell you it is well worth looking at. Once you get the hang of how the controls interconnect with each other, you can get pretty much ANY wah sound you like.Joe and the Vox team really did their homework on this one and it's going to be my next pedal purchase to complete the set (already own the Satchurator & the Time Machine).Mind you, I currently use a Behringer Hellbabe Wah and considering it only cost $AUS80 in my opinion it comes very close to the BBW in sound.Check them both out.You won't be dissappointed.

Hey Pip: The offer is open! As for the Sammy story; I used to work event security for the local arena. Every once in a while we were contracted to do shows at what was then called Sullivan stadium and is now Gillette stadium, home of the New England Patriots! It was the Monsters of Rock tour and my assignment for the night was Van Halen's trailers. During the show Eddie came out of his trailer and was tuning up and just playing outside when George Lynch from Dokken came over with his axe and someone introduced him to Eddie. They started to do a little back and forth trying to outdo each other and I just stood there about 3 feet away probably with mouth open and fixed stare in total guitar heaven when all of a sudden this little dude comes up to me, gets in my face and starts screaming at me "who the F are you, what do you think your doing, etc. etc. My first reaction of course was to want to punch his light out but I bit my lip and took it because I knew I'd lose my job and didn't want that. So after about 2 minutes of this little shit screaming at me he finally finishes and leaves and Sammy walks up to me and says something like "oh don't mind him, thats the tour manager and he's a little pr**k". He then went over to a Halen poster took it down and handed it to me. I also had to escort Sammy around the backstage area during the show and we chatted a little while we walked. I also met and got autographs from the Scorpions, Dokken, except for Don Dokken who is the biggest A hole star I've ever met, and I escorted and hung out with Wild Mick the drummer from Dokken. I even had to help a girl climb the backstage area fence so Mick could take her to his trailer for some ummmmmmm special treatment! After he was done I watched about a dozen other guys go in that trailer one at a time for the rest of the night lol. Anyway thats the first time I met Sammy. My wife and I have met him 2 more times since then. Once in Connecticut at a show we had a very private meeting where we got this pic. our pic

Skippygirl - Awesome choice for office decorations... :-)

Cool Vox video...thanks for posting it. And yes, Joe uses the wah in Soap On A Rope...you can probably best hear it during the outro solo (starting at 4:29).

Some of my favorite uses of it on the album are at 3:11 in Get It Up and 3:19 in Learning To Fall. It really is everywhere, though...

BigBunny - If you can only get one from Jeff Beck right now, I'd start with Guitar Shop. It sells for cheap in the US ($7-$8, while most other older albums are $9-$10)...hopefully it's the same down under.

And yes, you need the new DT.

ash swimmingbird - Hi...welcome!
cheese101 - There's a chance I might be able to make it to the Lake Tahoe Chickenfoot show after all... I looked for tickets online and I see a seating chart, with GA seating in the back. Am I just late to the party, and that's all that's left? Or is it all GA, and the seating chart is just misleading?
Don1963 - Very cool...thanks for sharing!
