A Car Crash

A woman and a man are involved in a car accident on a snowy, cold Monday morning; it's a bad one. Both of their cars are totally demolished, but amazingly neither of them is hurt.

After they crawl out of their cars, the man is yelling about women drivers.

The woman says, 'So, you're a man. That's interesting. I'm a woman. Wow, just look at our cars! There's nothing left, but we're unhurt. This must be a sign from God that we should be friends and live in peace for the rest of our days.'

Flattered, the man replies, 'Oh yes, I agree completely, this must be a sign from God! But you're still at fault...women shouldn't be allowed to drive.'

The woman continues, 'And look at this, here's another miracle. My car is completely demolished but this bottle of wine didn't break. Surely God wants us to drink this wine and celebrate our good fortune.'

She hands the bottle to the man. The man nods his head in agreement, opens it and drinks half the bottle and then hands it back to the woman.

The woman takes the bottle, puts the cap back on and hands it back to the man.

The man asks, 'Aren't you having any?'

The woman replies, 'No. I think I'll just wait for the police...'

MORAL OF THE STORY:

Women are clever, evil bitches.

Don't mess with them

hopefully the man was overly large and massivly overweight and just ate a massive dinner so the alcohol would take longer to take effect and get into that lovely bloodstream

but the moral of the story is spot on :) isnt that right mccleaf

Joe - Thanks for the update! :-) Sammy and Mike are enjoying Europe, I take it? I don't think either of them have been over there in a long time...

michelle - Do you know the band Good Old War? They opened the Dredg show I went to last night, and they said they're from Philly. They're a three-piece...folksy with maybe a little bit of country (just a touch) thrown in. I thought they were pretty cool...
Skippygirl - I don't have much of a weight-loss formula, but I can tell you that sticking to a schedule helps. I lost the first 10 pounds in only about three months, but then I stayed around that weight when I stopped going to the gym three times a week.

I don't really have a secret. I just look at weight loss as a math problem (if you burn more calories than you consume in a day, you'll lose weight). I do lift some weights, but I spend most of my time doing cardio. I ride the stationary bike at a fast enough pace to burn 700 calories in 45 minutes. I also do a short cardio warm-up at the start of my workout and I run a mile at the end.

I haven't changed my diet at all...I know the weight loss would come quicker if I did, though.

Guitarman77897 - Happy birthday! Do you have any fun plans?
ptrocker - Yeah, I think John Petrucci sounds great on the new DT album. His playing has improved a lot over the years (from excellent to EXCELLENT)...him doing all those G3 tours must have something to do with it. ;-)

Solid DT cover, by the way. Their music is tough to get "right", but you succeeded.

scubadaz - Wow...your company pays for two drivers per truck just so shipments/deliveries aren't slowed down by 45 minutes every few hours? That seems a bit extreme (although it's good for you, if it means work)...

...Austin...

Here's something better:

12345 and 67.8

Yes, I was driving when I took the photo (on the way to see Saw II, I think).

I had been waiting for the 12345...I was ready for it. I honestly didn't plan the 67.8 on the trip meter, though. I reset that every time I get gas, and it happened to work out perfectly. I think if I actually tried to plan it, I would have screwed it up somehow...

I'm back from San Antonio, Texas. Got a couple of days and took Mrs. burly on a romantic trip. Every body..Awwwww!!

It's a really nice place to visit. Stayed on the famous "Riverwalk". I want to go back again whan I have more time to stay.

Scuba- visited "Mad Dogs British Pub" for some good food. All the waitresses wore tall black boots with short red plaid skirts. What is cottage pie? It was on the menu but looked a bit high fat. sounded good though.

burly, the Riverwalk is GREAT! Been to San Antonio once myself and made sure to do that, although didn't stay there, just rode the boat around to see the sites and walked around it. Loved San Antone :) It was like an oasis after living in western Texas. Nice of you to take wifey!

Austin, nope, u absolutely couldn'ta planned that if you'd been paid a million bucks, lol!

Good to see ya Joe, and to know you're taking a coupla days off for fun...and practicing....as long as you all come back home in one piece, lol!! Happy to hear Chad is on the mend as well! Did our virtual hugs n kisses help him at all? LOL!

JOE: No problem with you going back to Marshall. We just want you to have and use the power! And you do. I still have the speakers from my Marshall 1960 cab in a home made cab hooked to my GK250ml. It does sound quite sweet. With all the new Vox stuff who'd know anyhow's. Just kidding. Any info on your set up will be well recieved. Keep rocking Chickenfoot Joe! Thanks again for the pic with you a few years back with my old guitar! You really started somthin'. flickr.com/photos/Ibanezplayer You may have to check out a couple of pages at that link.

Al, we are clever evil bitches ;-)

Gotta say - that Buckethead tune for MJ is pretty damn sweet.

Austin, does "folksy with maybe a little bit of country (just a touch) thrown in" sound like what I listen to? lmao! I'm allergic to country music, and folksy with a dash of country...ohh, here come the hives...

Never heard of 'em. I'll try to look them up if I can remember. Got 4 1/2 hours sleep.

burly - awwww :-)

axeshredderjc - Chickenfoot at Guitar Center? Wink-off? Good find...thanks!

Blue_Moon - The smaller odometer is a trip meter. You can push the button next to it to reset it to zero. It's useful to figure out your gas mileage, so you can plan stops on longer road trips.

To use one of your favorite examples, the In-N-Out we stopped at on the way from SF to LA is between 195 and 200 miles from my apartment in Long Beach. When I do that drive, I can look at that and know when to let myself get hungry.

It's also helpful when you're following directions with distances. It's easier to know you have to stay on a freeway for 31.7 miles when you're starting at 0 instead of something like 58,691.

michelle - Haha...I said MAYBE some country. I know you like Jackson Browne...Good Old War isn't any more country than he is. ;-)

Austin, I like a few Jackson Browne songs. My hubs is the JB fan. The last show we saw, I literally wanted to jump off the balcony it was getting soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo depressing. lol! He even admits he doesn't have very many happy songs. I do love James Taylor though..but NOT country! lol!

We were just at the grocery store. We were walking down the freezer aisle, and there was a white heavily tattooed dude, shaved head with a big ass tattoo on it, buttoned up flannel shirt, shorts, socks, and sneakers. He was looking in the ice cream case and talking loudly on his cell. The convo kinda went like this...

"I'll cut that bitch up...no, I'll stab all three of them fuckers! I'll stab 'em and shove 'em in the closet till they start to stink!" and he laughs. He was gone off about somebody, but he was just venting to a friend about it. My hubs and I were laughing...and making sure we didn't do anything that would have given him the chance to possibly vent that anger. lmao!! People are funny!

Hmmm, I actually sat through the whole thing. Very strange. lol!

Al, this one's for you. I know what a big fan you are...
